Face claims! The wonderful tool that allows those of us who use it to not only visualize our characters, but actually have a person to go back and look at when we need that boost of character based inspiration.
Is anyone else using face claims for their 2011 novel, and if so, who? (Maybe even better, why that person?)

My main face claims are Jason Isaacs for Mitchel, Cillian Murphy for Danny, Felicia Day for Ellen and Kat Dennings for Shirley.

I remember trying forever to find the right hair color to describe my main character. It's this light auburn color (like a light red, but not red; a dirty blonde but not blonde because it has red in it). XDD I think I settled on the director that won Best Picture the other year, and the anchor from CNN (which would make sense since my MC wants to be a reporter).

I have this problem, but it's usually completely unwanted. XD It was an inspiration, only because jester's seem like the type of character with long, pointed faces. However, I can't tell you how many times I've gotten Joker out of it.

I wanted to do this, but have been busy. Hadn't decided whether I wanted to do real life based or broaden the category. So far it's not narrowed down to just real life for my sanity. I tend to be a perfectionist sweatdrop

At any rate, one of my male characters looks like a more masculine version of this DAII Female Hawke. Twas strange but it's just the face shape is just right.

Although Kaline has longer hair.

I would imagine that Captain Philip deLaurentis looks like a young Jeremy Brett (particularly that picture, as Pip is an old soul who studied the ancient Greeks at the space equivalent of Oxford, which he still regards as one of the happiest times of his life, before everything went to hell), John "Deuko" Derwin would look like a young Clint Eastwood, Juanita Escamilla like Hepburn, and Mr Kestern Gouvener was originally based off this drawing, but I now see him looking more like Liev Schreiber sans facial hair.

Funny how I chose actors who played roles similar to the characterizations of my characters (Holmes, Solo, Golightly, Creed). Except not really, I guess.
