Once you opened the door to the southernmost ballroom, one could not see . At first the room was dark as though it had been abandoned.
Eliza had thought to have all but disappeared - since except for her participation in class had not been around. In fact, she had been decorating and planning since school began.
Then from around the room lights slowly rise up to brighten the surroundings, some candles and an impressive sphere - high above - casts a golden glow. From among a jagged fence and a menagerie of carved pumpkins, each giving a welcoming smile to those below.
It is a Fall Festival!
Various color leaves of a lightweight fabric intertwined the seats at the tables decorated in degrees of red, brown and orange, Themselves dusted with enough candies to give a dentist nightmares but an empty treat bag and *disposable* camera hang on the back of every chair.
On the table is also some blank masks and tubes of glitter - for those wanting to accent their outfits further. A special album with some shots from previous events to prompt the readers' memories from tonight - leaving space for their own photographs to be added later.
There was still yet to be seen around the room.
A faint glow as if the fading of day into night just barely illuminates the refreshment area. In which stations of meat/sandwich, drinks and a treat tree were off to the side.
The drinks were nothing short of as special as the person who would order, and Eliza stood behind the bar ready to make drinks and answer questions.
Finally the treat tree which hanging from its many branches are popcorn balls, large suckers and surprises wrapped in plain packages only identified by one word clues ("chips", etc").
Each was hanging by a string - but nearby strung scissors tied with twine, to insure the supplies won't disappear as quickly as the rest of the goodies will.
The music begins to play and the mood is instantly alive to welcome each guest to the Overture to the Phantom of the Opera - since it is known everyone is important and each guest is worthy of the royal treatment!
