 -Suzume Tachibana- Suzume clenched her teeth together, feeling the blood seep through her clothes and the wind whip by suddenly. She felt like screaming, yelling, groaning to the world that pain such as this was not meant to be endured. She let out a yell, the sound cracking through the night air. That voice didn't belong to her, her mind was slipping away, her head felt heavy with weight of a newly formed mask...
Suzume let out a small gasp and sat up in bed, wiping cold sweat from her temples. A wavering sigh escaped her lips and she stood, stretching her arms above her head and trying to forget her nightmare about that day. It was still dark outside, giving her in the impression that it was very early in the morning.

Waking only partially, Ryo rolled over in a state of semi-consciousness. Instead of the warm, gently rising and falling body of Kensei, he just felt the residual warmth left by him. This lifted Ryo to full consciousness. He must have gotten up to go to the bathroom. Now that Ryo was actually awake, he noticed that his throat burned slightly and his mouth was sticky. He needed a drink. Pulling himself into a sitting position, he yawned and wiped his eyes. It must have been the early hours of the morning. He doubted anyone but Kensei and himself were awake.
Swinging his legs over the side of the bed, he rested his feet on the floor. They shrunk back for a moment. The floor was cold. He rose and strode to the already open door and looked around in the hall. No one. He headed for the kitchen his hand to the wall feeling his way through the darkness. He was certain he was alone, which is why he was surprised when he bumped into someone. Squinting through the darkness, he realized it was Rose.
"Oh, sorry about that. I guess I'm still a little sleepy."

-Suzume Tachibana- Suzume felt her way to the kitchen, stumbling slighly as she got used to standing after being asleep for so long. She yawned and blinked heavily, pressing a hand to her temple as if to stop the headache she felt coming on.
When she reached the kitchen, she was slightly surprised to fine Rose and Ryo, looking at each other awkwardly through their half asleep states. "Why is everyone in the kitchen?" She asked groggily, shifting her weight to her other foot, trying to hide her uneasiness over her nightmare. She was sure she was the only one who still got those nightmares; no one else seemed to be bothered on a daily basis.

"Thirsty," they both replied. Ryo opened a cupboard, pulled out three cups, and filled them with water. He handed one to Rose and the other to Suzume. He took a long sip of his and then set it down on the counter. He eyed Suzume carefully. She looked a little shaken up. He guessed that she had another nightmare. Ryo knew she had them frequently as Ryo was the one Suzume usually confided these kinds of things in.
Rose drained his glass, put it in the sink, and then bade them goodnight. He stumbled back to his room leaving Ryo and Suzume alone in the kitchen. Ryo picked up his cup, took another sip, and waited to see if Suzume was going to talk to him about her nightmare.
(Ugh, my writing is so bad right now.)

-Suzume Tachibana- Suzume took a long drink of her water and sloshed the rest of it around in the bottom of her cup. She stared at it for a moment and then finally sighed; she couldn't run from the truth for long. "I had that dream again." She said shakily, like she was embarassed to admit she still had those dreams. "Well, a nightmare, really, but you knew that..."
She took the last sip of her water and set the glass in the sink, avoiding eye contact with Ryo. "Look," She said, glaring at nothing in particular, "These dreams are getting more vivid, not less, like I assume they're supposed to!" She blurted, running a hand through her short black hair.

Ryo finished his drink and set it in the sink before replying. He looked at Suzume, but his eyes were out of focus. He thought and thought; trying to remember something he had heard or read about, but they were the first of their kind. Before that night, Visoreds never existed. Finally he decided on a course of action. He said, "You could always talk to my dad about it. He knows a lot about this stuff, and rightfully so."
Ryo's father was Kisuke Urahara, ex-Captian of Squad 12, ex-President of the Shinigami Research and Development Institute, and currently the most intelligent being in and out of the Soul Society. Ryo's father created one half of the device that turned him into a Visored: the Hogyoku. Ryo didn't feel any resentment towards his father for this. It was, after all, Aizen who was ultimately responsible for his... abilities.

-Suzume Tachibana- Suzume took a moment to think about what Ryo had said. It was true that his father knew a vast amount on the subject of Visoreds; he probably knew than they did themselves. She exhaled deeply and leaned against the counter. "I suppose you're right. Kisuke would know the problem, or whatever this situation is classified as. Thanks for the input."
She played with the end of her night shirt for a moment before yawning. Despite the yawn, she wasn't very tired anymore and doubted she would be able to stay up after her night terror. "Are you going back to bed? I don't want to keep you up any longer if you are. I can't sleep anymore myself..."

Ryo took a moment to try and gauge how tired he was. He finally decided he needed to go back to bed. "I gotta get back to bed. I'm pretty tired," he told Suzume. He bade her goodnight and walked back to his room, again keeping a hand to the wall to help him navigate. When he got back to his bedroom, Kensei was already back in bed and asleep. He slid in next to him and drifted back into a deep sleep as Kensei unconsciously wrapped his arms around Ryo.
Ryo awoke after Kensei who was already up and showering. Ryo sat up and wiped the sleepiness from his eyes. He got out of bed and pulled on a pair of pants before heading back to the kitchen. When he got there, Mashiro was having a bowl of some sugary children's cereal. "Oh! Good morning, Ryo! Want some Fruity Pebbles?" Ryo could smell the sweetness coming from the bowl, so he politely declined and starting making himself some toast and tea.

-Suzume Tachibana- Suzume had crawled back in bed with Shinji, but hadn't fallen asleep again, just like she'd said. She shuffled into the kitchen with Shinji, hand interlocked with his and said good morning to everyone. She sounded cheerful as always, but felt like she was falling alseep on the inside.
Suzume let go of Shinji's hand and went to the coffee maker, putting the beans in and waiting for it to grind. "Coffee...Coffee..." She whispered under her breath in a sing-song voice, tapping her nails on the counter. She had a feeling that would be the only thing keeping her alert through the day. She rubbed her eyes.

"Shinji! Suzume! Good morning! Want some, cereal, Shinji?" came Mashiro's loud, childlike greeting. Shinji looked from Mashiro to the cereal sitting in front of her before he shrugged, grabbed a bowl from the cupboard, and began to pour himself some Fruity Pebbles. The tiny, multicolored pebbles cascaded into the bowl. A few departed from the rest and went skidding across the table. Shinji scooped them up, threw them in with the rest, and topped it off with a deluge of milk.
Ryo spread butter on his toast as he said, "Good morning you two."
"Morning," Shinji replied.
As Ryo slowly stirred his tea, he let out a small yawn. Late night chats usually did this to him. He placed the spoon in the sink, lifted the mug to his lips, and slowly sipped his tea, for it was still hot. "So, Suzume, do you want to go talk to my dad today? I was thinking about going with you. It's been a while since I saw him."

-Suzume Tachibana- Suzume said good morning to Mashiro, smiling brightly, then watched Shinji sloppily pour himself a bowl of the colorful cereal with amused eyes. "Good morning," She greeted Ryo quietly and then went back to staring at the coffee maker, like she might have the ability to will it to brew faster. But she was not that gifted she reminded herself weirdly.
The next few minutes were relatively quiet, the only sounds the sputtering of the coffee into the pot and the clank of Ryo's spoon against his mug of tea. Then Ryo asked his question. "I guess so," She started, pouring a cup of coffee eagerly, "Better to do it now then never." Suzume sipped the coffee black, then wrinkled her nose at its bitter taste.
"You're going to see Kisuke?" Shinji asked, voice a little concerned, "Is everything okay?"
He handed Suzume the bottle of coffee creamer from the fridge. Her hand lingered on his for a moment and she smiled reassuringly. "Everything's fine. Just gonna talk to him about those nightmares I have every once in a while." That last part was a lie, Suzume thought, I have them every night.

Shinji's hand remained out stretched for a few moments after Suzume took the creamer and explained why they were visiting Ryo's father. He had a look of suspicion on his face as if he knew Suzume wasn't telling the truth, but he said nothing more as he returned to his seat and continued to eat the sickeningly-sweet cereal.
Ryo finished off his toast as he watched this exchange unfold. He brushed off the crumbs from his hands and sipped his tea again to wash the toast down. "I just need to freshen up a bit before we go. I'll be ready in a few minutes." He said this after downing the last of his tea and placing it in the sink with the spoon. He left the kitchen alone and returned to his room where Kensei was showered and dressed. "I have to run an errand today. I should be back by noon," he said as he entered the bathroom and turned on the sink to brush his teeth and wash his face.
"What kind of errand? Where are you going?" questioned Kensei as he observed himself in the mirror to check his hair.
"I'm just going to see an old friend. Like I said, I'll be back by noon." Ryo dried his face and exited the bathroom. He picked up his Akumukiri, his Zanpakuto, and slipped it into his belt before saying, "Love you. See you later." and going to meet Suzume.

-Suzume Tachibana- Suzume nodded at Ryo. She quickly sipped her coffee, savoring its now sweet taste and the energy it gave her. The energy she was thankful for, as it gave her the boost she needed to get through the day on minimal sleep.
She finished her coffee quicker than normal and made her way to her room where she slipped on some shoes and ran a hairbrush through her hair. She tugged at a lock of it; it was reaching her shoulders again. Perhaps she would let it grow out again. The only reason why she cut it that short was to cut off a symbol of her past, like Shinji.
Suzume turned as Shinji walked through the door. "Are you really just going to consult Urahara about your dreams?"
She frowned and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Of course. I just want to know if these kind of nightmares are normal. We'll be back soon, okay?" She smiled to counteract her frown and kissed him quickly before detaching herself from him. "See you." She added, walking to meet up with Ryo once more.

Ryo met with Suzume and they headed out for Urahara Shoten, the shop Kisuke ran. Urahara Shoten specialized in Shinigami equipment, and many Shinigami such as Rukia Kuchiki and Renji Abarai were known to frequent it. It was located in a back ally on the other side of town, so they had a way to go. They stopped in a convenience store on the way and picked up a few things, including a candy bar for each of them. As they munched on the chocolate, they strolled along looking in shop windows, and before they new it, they were standing outside the ally that lead to Urahara Shoten.
"Well, we're here, so let's go in," said Ryo before they turned down the ally and walked to the front of the store.

-Suzume Tachibana- Suzume happily munched on her chocolate bar. She always loved candy and would purchase it whenever she got the chance. So, that along with the fact that they were out for the day put her in a rather good mood. As they approached the shop, she suddenly felt nostalgic. She had not seen Kisuke in quite a long time and had not visited the shop in even longer.
"Right," She nodded and slid open one of the front doors slowly. "Hello!" She called out brightly, her and Ryo standing in the doorway.
