I was thinking of ways to keep myself motivated to write during November because I'll have a lot of unrelated stress going on then. What I came up with was looking at the work I'd done that day and picking out something, whether it's a couple sentences, a particular turn of phrase, or even a really good atmosphere/setting/etc. that I did particularly well that day.
I just think I'm not the only one who is going to find the writing they do from day to day to be filled with utter crap and while a lot of it may need editing, in the end looking at a positive, however small, helps to keep me focused.
So tl;dr: we should have a post where we can post snippets of things we've written next month that we really liked! Day to day, weekly, whatever anyone has time for.
Thoughts?

That sounds like an excellent idea to me, I know that the free writing I've done recently has just flown out of my pen but it is awful. As I write the noticeable mistakes grow...but I'm sure if I were to look closer there must be something to be proud of, or even just a summary of whatever storyline I managed to get across. Why not, eh? Positivity is good. smile

Heh, you can just make the thread and I'll sticky it for you. 3nodding It sounds like a great idea!
Dunno whether I should sticky it here or in the first subforum. What do you guys think?

What do you guys think? in my experience, stickies in main forums usually get more traffic than stickies in subforums but that's just what i've noticed/my opinion emotion_sweatdrop

I agree with Mina. I hardly ever check subforums so I think the main page is better!

This sounds cool. During November I keep a blog (normally) and I tend to post my lines there - and it definitely makes me feel better about the day as a whole! Especially when I read through afterwards... XD
I also agree: subforums don't get enough attention. :3

I shall.
I'd have replied earlier but I strangely haven't been getting notices for this thread, beyond the first two replies.

Supinelu I'd have replied earlier but I strangely haven't been getting notices for this thread, beyond the first two replies. The same thing has been happening to me :s But Gaia in general has been acting up a bit on me. I like to think that it's in preparation for Halloween activities but it's hard to tell...
