There is an unused classroom on the first-floor corridor of Hogwarts Castle. It now seems to be used as a storage facility containing books, chairs, desks and several boxes.

Lillian walked in, closed the door and locked it.
"If we don't want anyone barging in, we might as well lock the door." She said smiling.
"So what is it you wanted to dicuss, Fionna?" She asked curiously, truly having no idea what this was about. She usually had some idea of what was going on, but with this she really didn't have the foggiest clue. Most likely something to do with what she'd heard about Lucas, or something with Rhiannon, but even with that Lillian couldn't be sure.

She pulled up a chair and sat down, hands folded on her lap.

Lillian smiled a bit at the furry little problem comment, but wasn't sure what to say much after that. She was an animagus, so it would be fairly simple for her to teach someone else. Yet...
"It'll take ages to perfect. You'll be able to transform after not too long, but getting every detail, the tail, the nose, the eyes correct will take ages."
She sighed.
"But you seem to know it...hmmm..." She thought for a moment and responded; "All right. First I want to be sure you know how serious this is, I just want to go over the basics.”
When Fionna nodded she smiled again letting her know that she wasn't being completely strict, it just needed to be said.

“Being an animagus takes time and discipline, so you must be patient and responsible. Changing into an animal and back at will might not take you more than a year, even less than if you practice it often. But changing into the perfect animal you chose will take much longer than that. When you and Lucas walk the grounds during the full moon, it won't really matter if your animal is perfect or not, but you'll need to be in your right mind since he won't be. The Wolfsbane will certainly eliminate the bloodlust and wildness that a werewolf has, but it won't necessarily give him a completely 6th year Gryffindor mind. It's as if he has the mind of a child or of a very well trained wolf. It's less animal, but not perfect. He will likely know who you are, but not right away. You'd need to be extremely careful. The first few times you actually see him in that state, I will be there as a doe, to see if he reacts in a positive way, or if he attacks. There are a few ways we'll need to be sure that he knows it's us. I know we won't even be going to see him for a while, but I want to let you know what you're getting into.”

She took a deep breath, amazed she was actually letting a student do this. But they were older, they could handle it. She trusted them.

She kept going, wanting to be perfectly clear. It might be a lecture, it might be boring to listen to, even. But if Fionna was going to be an animagus she'd need patience anyways.
“First, you'll need to approach cautiously, possibly bring something to remind him it's you. Nothing too important, not something small, and not food. If it's really important to you, this wouldn't be the situation for it. If it's small, he might not even notice it, if it's food, it might only enrage him, especially if it's meat. I'd suggest a photograph, not the original, but maybe a photo of yourself or something with your scent on it, like a perfume if you wear any. Even just the soap you use, so he'll, as a wolf, know it's you. It sounds a bit odd, but it should lower his urge to attack right off the bat, and his affection for you as a human emotion is what he'll feel. Second, don't just approach him right after that, it'll be overwhelming. Take a step back, let him think and process what's happening. If he takes a step towards you, it's a good sign. If he growls, barks or howls, then get out of there. But if he doesn't and seems alright with you being there, move next to him, nuzzle against him, something like that. Again, if he growls, barks, howls, just leave as quick as you can. You'd be able to transform at the secret passage and leave. No matter what, he shouldn't bite. That's one thing the Wolfsbane has taken care of. Most likely, he'll accept you right away since the Wolfsbane should let him curl up as a harmless wolf. Another animal's presence would just obviously be something new. At this point, after showing you're no threat to him, you should be able to leave and he'd follow. When he's on the grounds, you can't, can't can't take your eyes off him at all. We have no idea how he'd respond at first, especially the first few times. At home, he had no Wolfsbane, his parents never made it for him. So even though he was in the woods, he'd act differently from that. If he tries to escape your watch, tries to ditch you at all, you need to take action. I'm not saying attack him, it'll hurt him much worse than you think when he transforms back in the morning. If you bite the side of him as a werewolf, for example, when he transforms back you may find that as a human, it's done more and broken his ribs. A bite on the claws or paws of a werewolf will hurt much less than when he transforms back and it's his flesh and blood hand that's mauled. The bites he'd inflicted upon himself as a wolf were alright, werewolves have a higher pain tolerance than humans. But when he transformed back the inhumane spells used to heal his skin were almost as bad as the torture curse, I'm amazed his parents didn't knock him out first or do it when he was asleep.”
She paused, shook her head, and continued on.

"Of course." She said, nodding. "The first couple of times when you go to the shack, I'll come with you just to keep control of the situation. After that, it'll be just you and him in the shack. You can go to the woods, but of course not in the village, not where people can spot you. It wouldn't be good if Lucas, in his werewolf form, spotted humans. I doubt he'd attack, but it's better not to put him in the situation in the first place, it' so unpredictable.

"Otherwise, it should really be interesting to see how this plays out and I don't think you'll have too many problems. During these lesson I'll also be checking you're completely in your right mind by asking you questions as an animal that you'll be able to answer as an animal with a shake of the head or a number of growls. He will remember what happened when he transforms back, by the way. Now then, any questions?

In response to her eager attitude, Lillian decided they shouldn't dive into it but..."We can start whenever you'd like. If you'd like, today we could figure out actually what form you'd take on as an animal. For example, if your animagus form is an insect or a bird, this might not work at all."
If Lucas was a werewolf, no bird would be able to stop him from attacking someone.

"I won't tell him." She said, bowing her head and smiling. "You can do the honors when you feel it's best."

"Alright, then." Lillian smiled and stood up.
"Stand up, and take your wand out." She said, thinking back to when she had to do this all on her own. "First, what is your patronus form? Generally, the patronus and the animagus may be related. Not always, but since the animagus is a reflection of personality and traits, and the patronus is happy memories, well, people tend to be happier doing things like their hobbies. Both my patronus and animagus is the doe."

The spells used wouldn't hurt Fionna at all, and she was grateful for that. She wouldn't be discouraged if Fionna said her patronus was a mosquito. It was still possible her animagus was completely different.

Hmm, a sparrow was indeed small...but still. She wasn't giving up on Fionna. She remembered how Fionna used to go by Sparrow, perhaps this was why. She returned the smile and said,
"This isn't going to hurt one bit, I assure you. Now, focus your attention on yourself. Try to empty your mind, as if it were Occlumency. But instead of emptying your mind, just focus on the one thought of an animal. Will yourself to think about it, your own personality, your appearance, your feelings, try to concentrate them."

She stopped talking to allow Fionna to concentrate. ((Making this up)) When Fionna had screwed up her face in concentration, Lillian waved her wand, thinking, 'Revelio'
She saw a flash of...something? If it worked properly, Fionna should change into the animal, then change right back. She wouldn't be able to change into it at will without the spell, and it wouldn't be perfect for a while, but with the spell, Lillian would get a second glimpse of what it should be.
"We'll try one more time, ready?"
