This courtyard is an area of Hogwarts Castle where students often spend their breaktimes between classes when not in the Great Hall or their common rooms. A side door down the corridor off the Entrance Hall leads into this courtyard.

Late in the morning, early afternoon, Lucas walked with Fionna to the courtyard. For the second day in a row now, he hadn't eaten alone. He actually had company again, and good company at that. Even Al wasn't treating him differently because she knew, she glances over at him a bit more, but never had that pity or repulsion in her eyes that he'd seen too much of.

They walked hand in hand and when they reached the courtyard he sat down in the soft, damp grass, wet with morning dew. To avoid Fionna's robes getting wet. he laid down his coat on the spot next to him for her to sit on. He didn't mind t so much, he'd been in all types of weather, and what did some water matter anyways when Fionna was here, really liking him, his girlfriend. She even loved him. She had to, because she said it and she wasn't a liar. Love. I love you. The words sounded weird he hadn't heard them spoken to him or any real affection honestly in years. Over 7 years. He stretched out in the grass and looked up at her, smiling, his hands now under his head in the grass, the blue sky and white clouds swirling overhead.

FIonna walked across the courtyard with Lcuas hand in hand. She swung their hands a bit as they walked because of her bubbly attitude. She had had her meeting with the Headmistress and so far so good. She wanted to blurt everything out to Lucas, but she needed to wait. For the both of them. She smiled bigger when Lucas put his coat down for her to sit on. She truly didn't mind the grass, but it was sweet of him to do so. She sat down and relaxed beside Lucas.

She watched him for a few moment as he laid down below her. She could of just stared at him all day, but instead she said, "How are thing?" She saw him way more now, but she still wasn't with him all the time. She wanted to make sure everything was still good with him, and if not if there was anything she could do.

Lucas turned his head towards her and grinned.
"Great." He said genuinely. He'd been completely healed from that fall, he was amazed at how easy it was for the Headmistress to just make everything all better in the blink of an eye. The fullmoon wouldn't be around for a fairly long while, and it was a gorgeous day and there was a gorgeous girl beside him.
He looked up at her and her eyes seemed to shine. The sunlight was in her direction so looking at her was like looking at an angel. So cheesy, but really, he didn't care if it was.

He had to wonder a bit what she thought of his whole past. He knew she felt bad, guilty even, and certainly upset that she hadn't known. Hopefully those emotions were gone for good, leaving behind, he thought about the word, love. It was weird to even think that he'd gotten such a thing. He'd rub it in his family's face when he saw them next. Still, did she think it was sick how him and his crazy best friend had led so many other boys to their doom?
He even thought of himself as kindof an indirect murderer for a while...it had been his fault, he was to blame. The screams punctured his thoughts for a moment, the screams of a bloody heap. Well, now she knew why he could see thestrals. The guilty feeling Donavon had been feeling over Emily was now in Lucas a bit. Lucas was a child and it had been ages ago, but it was more people. Donavon was older, but it was only one person. Fionna deserved the best, not some bloody mess who'd led his friends to slaughter.
Yet, it was Lucas she'd chosen, and his heart lightened a bit at that thought.

He sat up, hands in the grass, the tiny dewey plants poking out from in between his fingers.
"So what about you? How goes prefect duties? You must've had a lot to get done yesterday, huh?"
He figured that since Fionna had been missing for at least a good hour yesterday, out of sight, it must've been prefect duties. Even their friends didn't know exactly where she was. Of course, no one would think she'd been learning to be a snowy white leopard for Lucas's sake, so prefect duties it must be.

Fionna beamed in response to Lucas. She was glad everything was great. Things would surely only be getting better. Her birthday was coming up in a little over a week and Hogsmeade trip was next weekend. That would be fun. She would finally be able to show Lucas the town. It would be great just as things were now.

Fionna had not thought about what she was going to say to Lucas. Of course he had noticed her disappearance for only a short time yesterday. He gave her an idea though. Prefect duties. They were usually what kept her busy and hidden. Fionna nodded and said, "Had to do some rounds. Involves being hidden sometimes." She had a mischievous smiled which could be associated with the fact that she thought she was good at hiding, but it was really that she was thinking about what she was doing with the Headmistress. Fionna was actually a pretty good liar even if she hated doing it. She thought quickly and said, "I've got to oversee a detention tomorrow so I might disappear again for a bit." She reminded herself that the lying was to protect Lucas from disappointment if things went badly.

"Kay." He said when she said she'd be gone. Not for a minute did he ever think she'd be keeping something from her. After all, she had hated it when she'd kept his real excuse from her. Still, it was curious how...
"You must be the most busy prefect of them all." He said casually.
"I saw Rose and that Hufflepuff prefect yesterday." Still, he didn't want to think he thought it was weird, or insult her prefect duties so he just shrugged. "They must just rotate the rounds."
He yawned as the bright sun hit his face and then absentmindedly ruffled his hair a little so the gray coming in wasn't as bad. He wondered how long it would take until all his hair was grey and he looked like a middle-aged guy at 30. Well, he'd just have to be sure he settled down before then is all. He smiled a bit to himself. He barely noticed it anymore when he ruffled his hair since he did it out of habit. Not to look prideful ((Like James Potter lol)), but so it didn't seem so dead, so limp. And so he wasn't such easy prey for real beasts like Rhiannon.

Fionna still felt bad about lying to Lucas. She had hated being lied to and now she was a hypocrite. She wanted to tell him so bad. He didn't even suspect her, or so it seemed. Fionna smiled innocently and told him, "I just like to keep things in order and enforce the rules." She thought about how it really was and added, "There is certain assigned stuff and then we can add other activities if we choose." It was actually true. She just didn't really add them that often because she needed time to do other things.

Fionna saw Lucas' hand go to his head and ruffle his hair. It made her smile. She didn't even think he noticed that he was doing it. It was probably habit by now, like what she does with her hands. She needs to do something with them.

"I'm amazed you can keep up with it all." He said, laughing a bit. He'd said it before and he'd say it again, prefect, quidditch captain, 5th year, waaay too much work. But if anyone could manage it, it was Fionna.
He thought back to their last discussion on this when they were in the library. He suppressed a laugh, but so it didn't seem like he was smiling out of no where he said;
"It's just funny to think back to how horrible I was at hiding it. When you first mentioned in the library how werewolves were your favorite magical creature I thought I was going to have a heart attack."

He looked back on it now, smiling, but he certainly thought it funny at the time. He'd been petrified and gone through so many conflicted emotions at that one moment, it was like being caught in a tornado. He would've never thought it could turn out so wonderful in the end.

Fionna blushed again. They had talked about this before, and she had blushed then as well. She always got embarrassed when people complimented her, even for the slightest thing. "Just barely." She said. Things were a handful and now that she had a boyfriend her schedule would be even tighter, but she didn't mind. They could even have study sessions together.

Fionna smiled and giggled at the scene. "I thought you had acted a bit weird, but I just kept ignoring it." She chuckled again. She couldn't believe how oblivious she had been. There had been so many signs. "It's true though. They are my favorite." A passionate sparkle lit up her eye. She really did love werewolves. Now she actually knew one. She was glad that the topic had changed slightly. She wasn't lying anymore. It was going to be hard to do that around Lucas.

Lucas's heart lifted a bit when she said that.
"Eh, they're okay." He said with a grin. "And first years thinking I was a Professor because I have grey hair." Again he laughed a bit. Normally, the topics might be his sensitive spot. But he could talk about anything with her, she cared about him more than anyone, really.

One thing he had always wanted, that he hadn't told her since it was kinda just a wish of his, was to just sit and watch the fullmoon rise for once without transforming. Just watch the glorious harvest moon dangle in the sky, perhaps with Fionna, and just not change at all. It was stupid, simple, and impossible. But still, he'd always wanted that. Ever since the bite, that is. Before the bite...well, he'd never before appreciated the fullmoon. What it brings for some, but it's beauty with a night full of stars.

Fionna laughed with Lucas. Then she got serious and asked, "Did that really happen? You never told me that!" He probably hadn't wanted to be embarrassed about it. They hadn't been that close then had they? Everything seemed so different now that they were together.

Fionna had fallen backwards and laid down next to Lucas on the grass now. She turned her head and smiled at him. She sighed in relaxation and enjoyment. She enjoyed this. Just laying outside on the cool beautiful day. With Lucas. Her boyfriend whom she loved.

When she laid down in the grass, he slid his arm under her waist and pulled her a bit close so her head was on his chest and he kissed her cheek. Then he imitated a squeaky first year as best as he could;
"Professor, where do I go to get to Charms?"
He switched back to his own voice; "I was just about to ask someone else the same thing."
He chuckled at the memory, it didn't bother him around her. He hated that the grey hair was a part of being a werewolf since you hated looking that old. Even if he dyed his hair or something, which was pointless since it would still show due to it being a magical ailment or something, he still would have a lined face. Like someone had drawn shadows under his eyes.

But did that matter now? Nope. He was going to sit around, be lazy right now with his arm around Fionna's waist. He gently kissed her cheek again and stared at the clouds swirling in the bright blue sky like they were stirred at random.

It didn't seem to bother him recounting the event now, so Fionna chuckled with him because it actually was quite funny. If he had told her at the time she didn't know what she would have done, but she didn't need to think about that. She smiled at him and wrapped her arm around him as he pulled her closer.

"You don't look like a Professor to me." She told him and kissed him on the cheek. He didn't at all really. She could see where people got it from sure, but she saw him differently than that. If anybody went and called him professor now they might have their tongue stuck to their roof of their mouth for a while. She smiled mischievously thinking about that. Nobody was going to bring down Lucas on her watch. Things were going to get better.

Lucas smiled when she kissed his cheek and for a fair amount of time he just sat there in silence, his arm wrapped around her waist. It was fine, nothing needed to be said. It wasn't an awkward silence, but one that passed quickly where each second spend in her presence was heavenly. But he couldn't really resist anymore. He turned his head a bit, and put his other hand gently in her shining hair, and he kissed her. Not on the cheek but on the lips.

It might've been days they sat there making out in the sun and Lucas wouldn't have noticed. Only after a long while of heated breath did they finally break apart and resumed their position of laying in the grass, though he held her even closer to him this time, her heart beating alongside his. He'd never loved someone like how he loved her, he'd never been told he'd been loved like how she said it, and he never wanted it to end.

Caiden, although had been hearing rumors about Fi finding someone new, wasn't very positive that he wanted to believe it. He had never watched someone move on so quickly in his entire life, but then again, he still hadn't moved on from his sisters death, and that was two years ago. He would never let it go. He wondered who she could have possibly met that quickly and started dating. But then again, when the two of them began their dating, it hadn't been more than a month that they had known each other. The boy walked out into the courtyard, staring up to the bright sky with the beautiful stars and the moon. He had always appreciated nature and the bright lights that had paraded his vision every night. Walking out very slowly, he brought his head down to the natural resting position that a head could have to look straight forward.

He may not have believed the rumors before, but they were certainly making perfect sense now as it all unfolded before his eyes. It boiled inside him to see two figures sitting before him, holding each other in love and passion. His anger exploded like it should have a long time ago.

Caiden began walking very quickly, without pause in his step towards the two of them. He was furious with what he had witnessed, and he wasn't exactly sure that he could find the words anymore to speak. He had to though, or he would never be able to move on. Something inside of him told him to just speak his heart, and at that moment, all he could think of were six words.

"You didn't give me a chance!" He yelled. He was yelling at the both of them, although he wasn't exactly sure how it would have made any sense to Lucas. He was trying to hard to gain her trust back, and now he was most likely down the scale about eighty percent from where he was. He would never be able to fix this now. He could feel his fists clenching and his heart racing. But something else was coming from inside of him, and it was taking all of his strength to hold them back. He had cried one too many times already this year. "And... I can't... Why?!" He couldn't formulate sentences. He almost didn't want to hear what either of them had to say.
