It came down to three (3) types of people, of the same emotions but opposite responses, 1.) the survivalists, who believed in themselves, and 2.) the philanthropists, who believed in karmic love, and 3.) those who never took a stand.

Yeah, karmic = of or relating to karma. Not sure if it's an official dictionary word but it should be.

I never took a stand.
I'm possibly the most indecisive person ever to walk the face of the planet.
It's a miracle that I even decided to come on Gaia instead of watching mooovies...

All things in degrees... I don't think it's really a black and white deal ever... Plus I'd like to think there is more to it then that. Karma in itself is produced by being out of harmony with the rest of the world, so you suffer from the disconnection...

Being good to others to reap the benifts of karma seems kinda wicked, so wouldn't you be punished... I mean, using karma as an excuse for universal justice seems rather selfish... Or maybe I'm just really confused...

It's late... My head isn't translating into the right words.

thats not how I see karma.. maybe I have it wrong.. I see it as if you have alot of bad stuff hapen.. good is sure to be on its way yin and yang... plus I think if you are nturaly good.. good will come to you.. and if that just means you feeling good about yourself then thats enough.. and if you are evil.. then karma would make it that you have a guilty contunce or something bad happens... but if you are fake then I'm not sure what will happen

I mean, I think like most beliefs that tend to have spiritual overtones, all this stuff is just present in our spirits. If we choose to have a positive outlook, then our interactions will be more positive, and we will have a positve view on things that happen to us that could normally be construed as negative. Likewise, if we are negative, with negative interactions, we won't even enjoy positive things. I mean, in the same way that you can see the good in anything, you can see the bad in anything. The world is neutral, which means it has infinate copacity for both good and evil. It's just how you look at it. If you are in competion and conflict with others, you are in conflict with the universe, but if you are at peace with others, then you are at peace with the universe. If you fake, then the interations are not true, and you aren't really at peace, but instead a false sense of peace.

We are going off topic a bit I'm afraid, time to refocus.

I love philosophical discussion, we can continue.

I think that indeed good and bad are our impressions and not an objective reality, that there is no objective reality only relative subjectives. But I think that the human psyche tends to long for good because that is what my human psyche longs for, and so I presume a lot that I don't know, that by helping others acheive this good that they will feel the benefits and be more congenial towards returning the benefits in a pay it forward fashion. Thus my construct of what modern day karma is to me.

I'm the same as Siani, 3.) those who never took a stand.
I can't make any decisions by myself, and it makes my friends and family mad.
I also somewhat believe in karmic love, but mostly #3.

Option 1. Well, mostly. I believe that almost everything that happens to me depends on what do I do and who do I chose to be. It is me, who creates my future, makes me feel happy or depressed. If I'll accept myself the way I am (with all positives and negatives of my nature) then I will feel fulfilled and have a strength to carry on. Which may be partially connected with karma, but I simply do not think that way.

you know... that makes alot of sence to me
here is my take on karma to the extent that my overly tired mind can conjure words... after all it says to me there is a balance and with this balance means that you do good and good comes back to you but along with the good just as with the good comes with bad, bad comes with good... so there for karma doesnt make any sence because you do good stuff to get good and bad returned, as you do bad stuff to get bad and good returned... and so if that is all it states then well whats the point in stating it... of course there is a reaction to an action... weather good or bad and its usually both... i dont know as i mentioned in another post some where else im running on an hour of sleep and maybe when im truly conchous again this wont make sence anymore but who knows
