here's a little game we play on one of the other sites i frequent
i thought it'd be nice to try it here
i post a set of 5 clues/questions
each clue has a separate answer
the answers (or a word/phrase within them) are somehow connected
people list their answers and their theory as to the connection
until i (or the person who set the list) confirm that someone has answered correctly
at which point they (the "winner") post their set of 5 clues/questions
easy enough, right?
for example. if i were to post:
1. a song by the Rolling Stones
2. an American punk rock band
3. a grumpy TV dad
4. her character might have been St Olaf's most famous resident
5. an English boy band
the answer might look like this:
1. Paint it black
2. Green day
3. Red Forman
4. Betty White
5. Blue
they're all colours
important things to remember:
- you're only allowed one answer per clue/question and one connection theory per post
- your post must contain a FULL list of answers (if you can't get a particular answer, you still need to list the number) - including a connection theory
- you must highlight the word/phrase in each answer that is connected by your theory in some way (bold, all caps, underline etc)
- even if you are sure you've won, please don't post your set until i (or the person who set the list) have announced the "winner"
- if a set is split (ie one person got some of the answers and the connection, and another got the rest of the answers) the set goes to the person who got the connection
