In Greek mythology, Pandora, often called "the first woman on earth", was created by the gods and sent to earth with a jar full of evils (it was later referred to as a box - Pandora's Box) as a retaliation. Prometheus had stolen the blessing of fire from the Olympian gods and had given it to humankind. One myth says that Pandora was presented a box that contained blessings from the gods. Carelessly, she opened the box and all the blessings were released, except for one - Hope. Another account states that Pandora was given a final gift - a jar that she was forbidden to open - and out of curiosity, she opened it.

The last account is the one i have heard. I read that she opened the box and it was full of insects which flew out and bit people, cursing them with the ability to feel emotions of hatred, anger and guilt. She closed the box suddenly when the insects flew out, but later opened it again hoping to find a cure for the plague which she had released, and inside was one last insect, hope.

Asmodeuus The last account is the one i have heard. I read that she opened the box and it was full of insects which flew out and bit people, cursing them with the ability to feel emotions of hatred, anger and guilt. She closed the box suddenly when the insects flew out, but later opened it again hoping to find a cure for the plague which she had released, and inside was one last insect, hope. I'm glad you know about Greek Mythology too ^^ Maybe you can do some of the storylines.

Not a lot though...Ill do my best sweatdrop dito 3nodding but I've always been interested in Greek Mythology, learned about some of it in English class in grade 9 and 10, did really well in that unit.

Not a lot though...Ill do my best sweatdrop dito 3nodding but I've always been interested in Greek Mythology, learned about some of it in English class in grade 9 and 10, did really well in that unit. that's good ^^ We always seem to do better in lessons we are interested in.

I heard that Pandora was given a box and told never to open it. She did and all the worlds evils were released but at the very last thing to be released was hope. I version of this myth was used in Tomb Raider II, and in the TNT series Charmend
