Last page of Summer Semester/Holidays here.Eisette Odile raised her eyebrows at Beth's abrupt disappearance, before smiling wryly at Jon, the expression wrinkling her nose slightly. "I did not scare her off! I bet you tried the moves and freaked her out, dude. And you just try to beat me this time." she tossed her head arrogantly, but winked at him,"Well, c'mon then, let's go!" Jon laughed. "You might have a point. The phrase 'rabbit in the headlights' springs to mind..." He smirked. "You know I'll beat you. It helps to actually go to the classes." he said, as he followed her out of the cafeteria.

Valerian Eclipse Ethan chuckled as he sprinted after Harri. He ran his hardest to catch her, and when he did he grabbed her arm, and pulled her to him. He grabbed her soft face and kissed her softly, a grin on his face. When he kissed her, he saw someone walking by them out of the corner of his eye. He turned and said, "Bethan! We have some great news-" But he noticed there was something wrong. She looked like she had been crying, which made Ethan feel uncomfortable. Bethan crying? It couldn't be true. "What's wrong, Bethan?" Ethan's deep voice was twisted with worry. Ava's lips spread into a smile as she looked up at her handsome husband. "Let's do something fun tonight!" She whispered into his ear. "Just us two. We can get Ethan and Harri to watch Evie. It would be so much fun." Her eyes were bright at the chance of getting to spend a night alone with Java.

Java raised an eyebrow and grinned. "Just us two? Sounds good." He kissed her on the lips, one hand sweeping a stray coil of red hair out of her face as he did so. He broke away, grinning. "It's nice to see you smiling again. I mean, really nice." He kissed her forehead softly, then took her hand. "Although, maybe Harri and Ethan'll be a little busy tonight." He casually swept an arm around her waist. "Maybe Bethan?"
Bethan wiped a hand across her face, not caring that flakes of mascara had streaked across her cheekbone. She shook her head mutely at Ethan, then managed a weak smile before turning to look at Harri's left hand. "He managed to do it then? You didn't die halfway through or anything?" she said, her voice a little quiet, but with a smile. "Congratulations." She hugged Harri, hesitated, then patted Ethan's arm in a friendly way. "I was just heading up to the cottage.

"No, I think I've filled my 'dying' quota for a while." Harri replied with a nervous chuckle as she hugged Bethan. As she pulled back, Harri watched her friend's face with concern, trying to read her expression.
Bethee? You wanna talk? Trying to be gentle, Harri's thoughtspeak was barely a whispering hum in Bethan's head; the girl could ignore it if she wanted. Harri wouldn't push, but she couldn't help the surge of protectiveness that consumed her when she saw the evidence of Bethan's recent tears. Absent-mindedly, Harri linked her fingers through Ethan's. The motion was so natural she barely noticed doing it, but the heavy weight of the ring on her finger was obtrusive between their clasped hands. Harri realised the jewelry would take some getting used to, and that idea sent a thrill of nerves through her. She couldn't help a sideways glance at her (the word felt foreign to think) fiancé, still marveling at the engagement.

Misconstrudel Jon laughed. "You might have a point. The phrase 'rabbit in the headlights' springs to mind..." He smirked. "You know I'll beat you. It helps to actually go to the classes." he said, as he followed her out of the cafeteria. [[Sorry about the quote and double post! Just realised this was here.. Also, I've forgotten what Odile's wearing, so let's just make this up wink ]] With another arrogant toss of her chocolate curls, Odile smirked. "Don't count me out yet, you know I can beat you half the time. I'm feeling really pumped today!" she spoke enthusiastically, and mimed slugging a passing first year in the gut (he hurried off quickly in alarm) and laughed, "So I bet I getcha. I need to work out the kinks of that damn art bench anyway. Drawing's fun but the power is a bit of a pain." she rolled her eyes. There was an energetic spring in her step as she strode down the halls to the front door; she thought maybe the winter air was getting to her, but she was jumping about like a rabbit in spring. As she walked, her hair swung behind her in rippling waves - though the lower half was in a messy plait, her bangs had escaped and were curling around her face, as if tasting the air. Odile wore a simple white tank top, with a black hooded jacket on top - the arms were rolled up to her elbows, seemingly unaffected by the cool breeze. Because of the coolness of the weather, she'd layered her standard denim shorts above black leggings. Simple sneakers completed the ensemble, adding to the overall air of casualness - Odile didn't much care about what she looked, and still somehow the clothes seemed to hug her figure well, and she pulled them off with mere obnoxious confidence.

Bethan laughed softly. "Hey, welcome to the club. We were thinking of getting t-shirts." She smiled slightly, before hitching Evie into a more comfortable position on her hip. "Hey, little Miss Storm, we'd best be getting you back." She glanced at Harri and Ethan's intertwined hands and smiled. "And I think Auntie Harri might want to tell your Mummy something, don't you?" Evie gurgled in happiness at the attention she was getting. Bethan gave no sign she'd heard Harri's mental query until she responded a few moments later. Later. It's not important. She knew Harri knew she was lying, but she wasn't going to let it get in the way of Harri's special day.

Jon watched her appreciatively as he followed her outside and round to the training area. "1 in 3 times, maybe, on an off-day." He said, quietly, not caring if she heard. He raised his voice so she could definitely hear him as they neared the training area. "You're very energetic for someone who's about to go down." he said, as he took his place, assuming a combative stance, "Hey, it might make this one of the times I have to actually try to beat you." He smirked, knowing it would infuriate her - though not as much as a real smile seemed to.
