7 Eleven

User Image
It's your typical convenience store. Or it used to be... Now it's been ransacked time and time again. There are not many things left on the shelves, cash registers are flipped, the milk in the refrigerators is long spoiled, the survival goods seem to have gone, but who knows? Maybe you'll score.

Carter

After meandering through the city for countless hours, fighting off what seemed to be a never ending horde of those abominations, carter found himself at a local seven eleven. He hadn't gotten his hopes up about finding any supplies, because he knew giving the amount of time since the outbreak started, that any survivors would have already raided the place. Regardless, he decided to check anyway. He walked into the store, and as he suspected the shelves were empty, and the floors were littered with the blood of what he assumed was zombies. He looks around the store, hoping to find anything that he could use, but he could not. At least not immediately. He walked into the bathroom. I will at least have manners, he laughs to himself as the thought goes through his mind. He walks over to one of the stalls and opens the door.

As the door swing open, a zombie jumped out, grappling carter. Fear cause his adrenaline to jump in levels. He reaches out, grabbing the zombies had and twisting it. He'd anticipated it would be much harder to snap someones neck, but it was not. He tightened his grip, then twisted it's neck as quickly as possible. The zombie rolled off of him, still very much alive yet unable to control it's head movement. "You're not so bad when you can't bite you little b*****d." Carter yelled at it. He ignored the zombie altogether and set out on what he intended to do. Use the bathroom. He stepped inside, closing the stall door behind him. As he was using the bathroom the zombie finally regained its footing and began pounding on the door. Carter yells to the zombie, "Hey, it's occupied!" The man appeared to find the entire outbreak a joke, always trying to make himself laugh.

After he'd finished using the bathroom, he opened the door, shook the zombies hand and said, "It's all yours old friend." as he walked out the door he turned back to the zombie who has staggering closer to him. "Oh, and chin up." he adds. Lame puns were a bit of his specialty. He noticed a small pistol under the register as he was heading out. Walking over, he realized it's a .44 magnum. Six shots, I'm not even going to trouble myself with packing that thing. He walks leaves the store, and goes back to meandering around the city.

Cray

Cray walked up to the front of the 7-Eleven. I used to work here... before the zombies... Cray shook his head, and gripped his machete. He doubted anyone else was alive, but he couldn't be sure--this was the first time he had left his house since it all began. He walked into the store and found a zombie in the middle of it with it's neck broken. He vaguely recognized it as what used to be his boss, but in its current state it started shuffling towards him.
He quickly used his knife to dispatch the thing, then looked about the store.
When he worked there, he hid a few beer bottles for him to drink when his dad started yelling again. It wasn't much, but he had no more supplies, and the place was out of food besides it. He walked over to the register, and pulled up the loose tile on the ground in front of it. Perfect. Beer is still here. He grabbed the two bottles, and looked around for a lighter of some kind. He would need a source of fire eventually, after all. He finds a pistol, and decides to keep it, but he keeps looking for a lighter. After finding none, he sighed, blocked in all the door ways, sweeped the store for zombies, and then stayed there. He had no reason to return home-- And besides, if anyone WAS alive, they might come to his new safe bunker.

Cray

A zombie broke through the blockage, and of course, when that happened, more broke in. And more. Soon they overwhelmed Cray, and with a few not too kind words, he took his remaining beer bottle, the pistol, and his knife, and he ran, cutting a path through the walking dead.

After running almost non-stop since the hospital, Mag almost collapsed when she saw the big 7-Eleven sign. "Oh...my god... I can't believe we made it... so many zombies..." Mag leaned against a wall, trying to catch her breath. She was muttering quietly to herself, telling her herself to calm down because it felt as if her heart wanted to break out from behind her ribcage. Once she was able to regain her breath, Mag slowly walked around the 7-Eleven. There didn't appear to be any zombies in the immediate area surrounding the building, but she wasn't sure about what was inside.

Cray

Panting, Cray slowly opened the door. He grabbed the bottle of beer on the counter, and went to search the whole building. "Find anything, let me know..." He grinned as he passed a few surviving cheesy greeting cards. "Guess looters don't even want those..." He found a box of twinkies, looked inside, and saw just rat droppings. "Damn it... You find anything?"

[Just so you know, it appears you already took your beer bottle the last time you visited this location]

"Not yet..." Mag said, as she closed the door behind them and pushed an empty soda machine in front of it so nothing would be able to burst it's way inside. Then Mag started looking around. The shelves had been pretty much wiped cleaned. But as Mag was inspecting the coolers, she could see past the shelves into the refrigerated storage area behind the coolers. She tried to access the room via the 'employees only' door, but it was locked. So she decided to crawl inside one of the coolers to get to the back room. It wasn't even cold back there anymore, since there was no power coming into this building. Inside she found some boxes that hadn't even been opened. "Hey, come here... There's food in here..." As she opened the boxes, she had to shove some of them aside because they'd gone rotten, but some were still good.

[I knew that the whole time. Cray didn't remember drinking the first one.]

Cray

He looked to where Mag's voice came from. "How did you get in there... the doors still locked... Wait, these are the same pants since the zombies came." He checked his pockets, and found his old employees key. He unlocked the door and walked in. "I hear speak of edible things that aren't rotten or looted." He grinned. "Honestly though, how did you get in here?"

"I crawled in through the cooler." She pointed to the coolers that lined the wall, which would have normally held bottles of water or soda in the past, and you could see out into the main area of the store. She began tearing into more boxes. Some of the boxes had been nibbled at by mice, but she found some intact boxes of Twinkies and Doritos, which were practically good until the end of time.

Cray

He looked at her oddly. "You mean... even though I used to work here... instead of seeing if I had the key... you went to the trouble of crawling through the cooler... Right..." He rolled his eyes and grabbed a mostly intact twinkie. "We should probobly bring a crate for the main camp, shouldn't we?"

"Why?" She didn't see the point in feeding other people, even if they were nice to her. "If they wanted to get this stuff, they could come out and risk their own lives for it. We're not responsible for feeding them..." She tilted her head, and poured the rest of a bag of chips into her mouth. "We should just care about ourselves..."

Cray

He popped the twinkie in his mouth. "Not for THEM. F**k them. Food for us later in case of emergencies. Duh." He emptied a crate of all the bad foodstuffs and threw a few good tasting things in there. He grabbed a bag of cheetos and began munching as he packed it. "No harm in stockpiling, after all."

"Well you said for the main camp, so I thought you meant for the people there... but, yeah. We should definitely take some stuff back with us." She took off her backpack and handed it to Cray. "Here, you can fill this up, too." While he did that, Mag went through the medical supplies they had managed to find at the hospital. It wasn't great, but at least they got some clean bandages and Mag had grabbed a handful of disinfectant wipes. "Before we go, I'll fix up your bandages."

Cray

"Alright." He finished filling the backpack, and then stood still for her to bandage him up. In the mean time he looked at how heavy the crate and backpack would be to carry all the way back. The crate looked heavy, but the backpack was rather obviously very light. "Err, I can carry the backpack... I'm sure it's much heavier than the crate, after all."
