What if Disney decided to do a animated version of Les Miserables? Would they let pixar do it? Would all the characters be animals?
...That'd be cool! Javert would be like a wolf and Valjean would be like a cat or mutt or something. Okay! Now I gotta do an Animal/Cast List.
Valjean- Mutt Dog
Javert- Black Wolf
Fantine- White Cat
Cosette- White cat with brown spots
Eponine- Black cat
Marius- Golden Lab
Enjorals- ...that one dog that Lassie was
Thenardier- Chijauhua
Madame Thenardier- Black cat with white spots
...that'd be messed up man...

Aww! It would be adorable to watch a kitten Cosette sing "Castle on a Cloud!" And I'd see Eponine as more of a calico or longhaired cat. One of those that don't get too big. And the cool thing about Disney is that she would still get to have the cute little hat! 4laugh

Why are you stuck with just cats and dogs, at least you have a wolf. The Thenardiers would be rats. The problem is in a suburban scene, you probably would be stuck with just rats, cats, and dogs if you were going to make them animals. If Disney did Les Miserables, they would ruin it.

disney would ruin it. theyd make it too cutsey and use pop singers instead of people with talent.

in order for me to like a disney version it would HAVE to be animals...disney ruins so many wonderful things for me! i wish they would do animated animals, but use some real broadway actors/acresses with actual talent as the voices/singers. disney's singers suck most of the time, and Les Mis just isn't a pop musical...

Half the show would probably be gone if Disney did it. They'd probably make it so Javert didnt commit suicide.Now if it was back in the old days when Walt was behind everything he wouldnt have cut a single thing, he knew that if you want to tell a story you have to have every little piece. Now adays Disney is just trying to be politically correct.

I wouldn't bother to see it... Unless of course it was rated at least PG. Can anyone imagine a G rated Les Miz? I don't really mind the singers they choose. (Hey! Disney had Jasmine and Mulan's singing done by Lea Salonga. XD)

Disney had Jasmine and Mulan's singing done by Lea Salonga. XD) -raises fist- Power to the Lea Salonga! Yeah, I agree with pretty much everything in here. Like five years ago, Disney could do it. That was when they were still using sad storylines, and hiring Broadway songwriters and singers. The good old days of Mulan and Little Mermaid! But you know, part of the greatness of this show is the darkness. The prostitutes, the suicide, the child abuse... I think parents would be picketing Disneyland the second that the little kitties began to sing "Lovely Ladies" xd

Don't even begin suggesting that! The idea terrifies me!
Disney is great and all and I do love it...but...no. It would be no good for Les Miserables. They would kid it down so much that we probably have a very hard time regonizing it for what it was suppose to be.
