That is absolutely beautiful.

Thank you very much. I have lain down most of the color and even managed a neat iridescent affect that probably won't scan properly (the shinny, almost reflective quality will be lost and it really relies on lighting and different shifts of perspective from the viewer anyway) but I don't mind. I know its there and, therefore, it is awesome.

Edit: I was right. It didn't scan very well at all. And not just the bodice but the color for the skirt came up a lot brighter, too (and a few shades different to boot!).

Do you have an art shop? If I can afford it I'd totally buy from you. xd

I absolutely love your usage of line, it really helps give this kind of feminine/assertive look to her and in a way gives me a good vibe on her personality. Her face is absolutely GORGEOUS, and I love how you drew her lashes.

Did you use the markers on the bodice and shoes? I would be really careful when using markers on sketch paper (assuming that's what you applied it to; correct me if I'm wrong). Based on my personal experience with marker, it usually works better on surfaces that have smoother fibers. Idk though, just be really careful with how you apply each layer because I can see the marks you made when you colored her bodice in.

Sorry, my wording is horrible today but I'm still in "wake up" mode... xd

I don't have a shop yet. Its been a few months since I drew anything and I was waiting until I worked my way back to where I was before I open shop to sell my products. I'll let you know when I finally feel I am ready to do it though.

Thank you very much. The lashes were done simply by retracing them again once color was lain over the ink to make them pop out. Faces are my strong point, I've been told, so I am working extra hard on body language and positioning. Its difficult for me to grasp but it is nice to see that I am doing a good job on it!

The markers are actually not too bad. I used them on the bodice, shoes, gloves, and skirt/bow. These didn't bleed or seep at all and ended up with a nice, even tone for me to work with. The bodice, in fact, is composed of a reddish brown marker, a teal marker, and a pale green colored pencil. It kinda has a iridescent quality to it because of it, which, unfortunately, would never be able to show up properly on scan.

Your wording was fine.

Thank you very much for taking the time to look at my work and to comment biggrin

So I have decided what I am working on next. It will be a head shot of Alexandrite with her Princessy royal jewels on. I am not sure when I will be able to get this to you, however.

So I got it up tonight, it seems. Enjoy this while I put color to it.

So I am taking a brief absence from coloring and getting on to line art and character positions. I am deviating from drawing strictly Sailor Alexandrite and moving on to a few people in the guild.

First off is not so much of a stretch from the original purpose of this thread. I give you my rendition of the Alexandrite Knight.

Men aren't my forte but I though I'd give it a go. It was an interesting study in perspective.
