Santos was meticulous when deciding where to send the groups. With little information to go on, and only his years in the force to guide him, he decided to that the city and neighborhood were the best places to focus efforts. While other areas wouldn't go unchecked, He was fairly certain an attack would be geared toward high population areas.
The chief of police dogs knew that leaving the woods unsearched would be a mistake. Cirrus and Milo were thus assigned to their depths. Be careful to avoid the more wild outcasts on your search, and keep your ears open. Nature speaks when things go wrong. What? You think that's not scientific enough?Quote: You may only post here if you are the owner of: ❥ Cirrus ❥ Milo ❥ Slimeball ❥Macoute ❥ Brook Things to keep in mind: ❥ This isn't meant to be easy for your dogs. They will not talk to just one dog and suddenly know the meaning of like, the universe, and everything (42) ❥ Police dogs, you are the leaders of your group. This means you have to help make decisions about what to do and where to go. Do not god mod, but be aware that the other dogs on your team probably don't know what they're doing in terms of police-work. ❥ Outcasts, it is more important now than ever that you consider consequences. You are now in a small group with two or more cops surrounding you. Either watch your step, or be careless and see where that lands you. ❥ If you have a question, quote DarkHeartedSorrows so that I know to check. Otherwise, you're free to roleplay and interact and formulate plans. I will occasionally fall in with prompts to help you out.

Brook had been startled, but not necessarily displeased, when she discovered the location of their search. It was the woods, the very ones she and her sister often visited. She knew for certain that outcasts often took shelter within the shadows of the trunks, but it was for that very reason that she had rarely gone past the fringes, too. Thus, she could not necessarily say she was knowledgeable regarding the woods' depths, and she was glad for the company of her teammates.
Ears cocked towards the woods, she kept her eyes locked on the officers, occasionally glancing at the other civilian, awaiting instructions.

Milo was a little anxious when he learned their group would be in the forest. He had never been there before. He looked around to the various trees. There were a lot of places for strays to hide. He was excited yet apprehensive to the idea they might meet strays."Alright, Lets stay in a group and start searching" He knew there was safety in numbers and right now that was their advantage.

He had never been to the forrest, living mostly in alleys and abandoned houses most of his life. This was new territory for him. He sniffed the air hoping to catch the scent of something, but nothing other than the smells of nature hit his nose. That didn't mean there wasn't anything out there, just that maybe the wind hadn't blown the scent his way yet.
He eyed the two officers and wondered what they were told to do if they did find the attacking group of dogs. He figured it best to keep his cool around the two, and the third dog, he wasn't quite sure of. She seemed to be pretty docile, but she could be in the same situation as he, but he wouldn't ask.
Slimeball heard officer Milo speak. This gave him the opportunity to ask, "So, what do we do if we find the enemy?"

It seemed that they were going to find the enemy relatively soon. Not far off, it's quick obvious that someone trampled through the bushes without care. Branches are bent and broken, leaves have been torn away, and they just look generally beaten. Perhaps it would be a good idea to investigate.

This wasn’t the first time that Cirrus had been in the woods, nor would it be the last, probably. However, there had only been two instances when he had to go over to this area so he was still a bit nervous. This expression wasn’t revealed in his features as he walked into the tree shrouded area, not even a nervous twitch of an ear. Cool, calm, collected; that’s what his training had conditioned him to be externally, even in the most dire situations. His life could be on the line, and he’d be quaking with fear when not working, but in duty, his face was one that held absolutely no feelings. The Doberman’s job was like an on/off switch when it came to showing any emotion. So right now, even though he was a tad nervous, he didn’t show it due to that lone switch that made him focus on the task at hand.
The blue canine peered into the trees, looking for anything suspicious as he had his ears up and alert for any sounds near. Nothing seemed to be out of place, sight wise, nor was there any mysterious sounds that called for a search of some sort. Tilting his head back a bit, he sniffed the air and took in the scents of nature. Nope, nothing out of place in that area either as far as he could tell.
His ears tuned into the conversation that the rest of the group was having, his eyes never leaving the wood in front of him. Although, he didn’t like enjoy the whole group staying as one unit, much preferring it being two different groups, he decided to not say anything and go with Milo’s decision. There was just something about splitting up, covering more ground in a shorter amount of time, that he just liked better than having more protection. Just because he didn’t prefer staying as one unit didn’t mean that he was going to protest it though, nah, he’d just go with the flow. It was such a small thing, why argue about it?
“If you find the enemy, you let us know,” Cirrus said, turning to Slimeball and answering his question before cocking his head over towards the woods again and walking a few feet away from the group, to get a better look at the area.
A few trampled bushes caught his salmon colored eyes, and he stared at the downtrodden plants, finding it peculiar in such a setting. “Hey guys,” the Doberman called back, his voice raised to meet the ears of the group. “You might want to see this.”
((Sorry for the lame reply guys. ;A; ))

"Okay," Brook responded simply when Milo spoke, doing as requested but, at the same time, drifting a bit further away. She didn't want to be so close to the others that any sort of required, quick movement would be hindered and, having been left with her sister for a while, she found it strangely discomforting to be so physically close to near-strangers, despite the fact that she thought that she could trust them.
Slimeball's question caught her by surprise, and she was glad he had asked. She had always fought and then fled from any danger that presented itself -- it hadn't occurred to her that things would be different for now. A life with standards, policies, and regulations, no matter how light, was still one she had not stepped back into for a long time.
Cirrus' sudden call stirred her from her thoughts, and she stepped closer to him warily, wondering what he had found. For a terrified moment, she expected a wounded, dead body, but that was thankfully not the case. It was only some battered bushes and trees, but the relief she felt was short-lived, for she soon realized someone had to have done it, and the damage was not necessarily old, nor did it look to have been caused by natural forces.
Ears flicking with trepidation, she took a step closer and nosed the ground, searching for any clues or signs that might prove helpful.

'Just let you know? What fun is that?' he thought bitterly. 'The better answer would have been to tear into them with teeth and nail, but of course that's not what an officer is going to say.' He huffed, and continued to look and sniff around for any out of place smells or sights.
His blood started pumping faster, and adrenaline rose in him when Cirrus called them over. "What!? What is it?!" he said enthusiastically before making his way over. His tail was held high, wagging with excitement. He wasn't afraid, but was overly curious. This entire situation had him biting at the bit, wanting some action of some kind, but he was trying his best to be patient and bide his time.
He saw what the doberman had discovered, and hoping this was their first lead, he sniffed the area, and looked for more indications that something had been here.

Milo had been surveying the sights and had missed the question entirely until Cirrus had spoken. It was his first time in the woods. He silently thanked Cirrus for answering that question for him. Keep on track you can sight see later I have civilians with me in this group. I can't loose sight of why we are here. He started really looking closely at the woodland floor to see any tracks there might have been.
His ears perk up when Cirrus calls out. He heads in his direction. "What is it Cirrus? He stares at the tracks and almost starts following them but holds off due to his past training telling him its stupid to follow unprepared. "What kind of dog do you think left these tracks? He asks in an undertone in case the dog that left the tracks was still close.

The dogs are halted in their speculation as a lean body soars over the trampled bushed and rushes them. The scarred weimaraner didn't seem to have much muscle, but it's agility was considerable. It snapped it's jaws and lowered it's body in preparation for the coming fight.
HP: 20Quote: Read the battle thread and attack! This dog could be a part of the stray pack and needs to be taken down! When it's HP hits zero, I suggest you use a restraining collar. Please only attack once, then wait for me to post again.

The sudden intrusion of another dog took him by surprise. When the other dog showed aggression, it sent a shiver through his body, and he immediately became defensive. He lowered his head and ears went back. His tail was down and teeth bared. He growled at the dog, "I've been waiting for some action, mutt. Bring it." With that, he lunged at the weimaraner.

The weim cackled at Slimeball's words in what seemed like insanity. He took the hit with a grunt, and immediately lunged back, headbutting him with a snarl.

Not long after, a scarred weimaraner announced its presence with a snapping of jaws as it leapt over the bushes they had been inspecting. And Brook, startled, had taken a step back, ears quivering. She hadn't thought a stray would come so suddenly, and, for a moment, she forgot the ones she had come with. Her instincts demanded she run, as there would have been little to gain from winning or losing and she may have, too, had she not heard Slimeball and was brought back to the present.
Seeing the male take on the quick stray on his own, she was moved to help him, and found herself lunging towards the offending stray.

Milo was momentarily stunned when the weimaraner had sprung from the bushes, He bristled his fur, though mostly the police vest covered it, the stray had issued a threat to his group. He watched as Slimeball and Brook attacked. He summoned his courage and lunged forward toward the stray. Hp: 20 Attack damage: 3

The weimaraner growled and howled, and then head butted one of the dogs attacking him. Disoriented, her stumbled, whimpered, and then took off in the direction of the city. Click here to follow him! Please make an exit post before you follow the weimaraner!
