What the area looks like:

Yuri's eyes opened slowly to gaze across the area that would become a battlefield. It was a lush green grassland with no cover for a large distance in all directions. The sun was bright in the sky and warm against his skin. The gentle breeze ruffled his hair and clothing driving the windmills easily visible in the distance.

A smile crept acrossed his face as he took in the scenery, however he had a job to do. A member of his squad had approached him about a competition they and a friend had devised. He would square off against the captain of squad 3 and the loser would do the other squads paperwork for a month. He wasn't one for slacking off but a break from the paperwork would be nice.

As the other captain turned to him he bowed low before straightening back up and removing his decorative robe and then his captains jacket. Revealing the thin muscular figure beneath in a black onmitsukido robe. Its arms cut away to allow for easier movement. Reaching into his decorative robe he pulled out a silver fox mask looking at it deep in thought. "Best of luck to you Captain, I will warn you do not hold back." he said calmly before placing the mask over his face.

Bowing again he stood up straight and crossed his arms over his chest. With a grin hidden by his mask he shouted out loud enough so she could hear him, "BEGIN!" and with that he ran forward before jumping in the air and spinning to kick at her shoulder with the back of his left leg.

As he closed in Yuri could tell something was off, she didn't move, not even blink. An easy enough sign that she was waiting for his attack. As the attack was about to connect she flashed stepped out of the way, moving behind him to launch an attack of her own for his back. It seemed she wanted to have some fun as well as she didn't draw her zanpakuto.

Placing his right leg down on the ground he threw his weight to the side spinning his left leg around to block the kick with his knee. However the move had been too sudden so he was easily sent reeling by the attack, sliding back far more then he originally intended.

Bringing his left leg back down he crouched low to the ground to keep his balance until he stopped moving. "Not bad, but you will have to move far faster then that to escape these eyes captain Hana." he said calmly. And with that he was gone without a trace. A shadow appeared on the spot where Ally was standing and a moment later Yuri Came crashing down from above with his right leg.

As she blocked his kick Yuri used her arms to propel himself away from her doing a back flip in the air to land gently on the ground. Seeing her hand go for her zanpakuto. He had never seen her zanpakuto in action before so he couldn't recall many details but he remembered hearing it was an ice element. He would have to be careful until he knew more.

Raising his hand he held his palm out at her, "Hado number thirty three, sokatsui." he said calmly a blue blast erupting from his palm heading for Ally. Then placing his hand on his zanpakuto he breathed deeply to calm himself. "Rise and bear your fangs, Gin Kitsune!" the wrapping on the blade fell away behind him and he drew the zanpakuto from behind his waist holding it out in front of him.

Holding the sword so the blade was parallel to the ground he didn't wait for the smoke to clear, "First strike, lightning ball!" he declared. Three balls of electricity developed along the blade shooting outward at Ally. One came in from above while the other two came in from the side. I need to study her techniques before i can attack effectively. In the mean time lets see how she handles a little pressure. he thought calmly.

Yuri watched closely as she countered and dodge the assault quietly taking note of her skills. She was good at Kidou and her agility wasn't too bad either. Placing his palm against the flat of the blade he breathed a heavy sigh extending the blades length by a foot. "Don't hold back." he said calmly. Then charging forward he stabbed the blade into the ground letting it dig into the soft dirt.

As he drew closer he stopped swinging the blade upwards, "Terra breaker!!!" as he spoke a large blast of electricity erupted from the blade ripping through the ground. Then he jumped to the right holding the blade horizontally again, "first strike, lightning ball" he called firing two balls in rapid succession straight at her.

Yuri watched closely as she made her move through the smoke. Bringing his blade up he knocked it aside. Then raising his hand, palm out, he smiled, "Hado number 32 Okasen" he stated. A wide blast of yellow energy erupted from his hand heading toward Ally.

Feeling something wrong with his Zanpakuto he looked down finding the blade frozen over. "So thats your ability is it?" he asked before breaking the ice with his fist.

Yuri vanished as the blade was thrown at him coming in from her left with his sword aimed at her throat. However just as it was about to connect the rods struck him in the torso holding him in place. "I believe that makes the match." he said calmly. "I suppose I could use bankai but there is no need." he said calmly.
