So it has come to pass that many times I find myself calling almost any form of energy manipulation as magic. Occasionally I wonder if that would be the real case. So lets have the discussion:
Are all forms of energy manipulation considered to be magic?

When I call energy to me, or manipulate it, I use it for protection. Not necessarily in spell form, just like shielding, or exercising my internal battery.

Obscurus I tend to consider all forms of magic to be energy manipulation. I agree with you there. I was thinking of practices like Reiki and IET energy therapy. Would those practices be considered magic to you?

Heres a thought. All magic is energy manipulation, but is all energy manipulation magic?
I don't think so, just because I manipulate my energy to calm myself down or to regulate my body doesn't mean I am working magic. Magic requires a structure, like a spell or incantation. Healing like Reiki is just pumping energy into a body, and letting it do what it needs to.

To me, yes. It can be. It simply depends on what you do with the focus. As for the different gray areas of what energy is what. That's a different story. But, you can do magic with any kind of energy too. So there's that. Yes.

For me I would consider spells and magic to be energy manipulation but not all energy manipulation spells or magic. Some of it is simply a matter of physics even chemistry at times. Not to say that science and magic cannot go hand in hand.
