Nivlac The Hungerer

PostPosted: Mon Nov 21, 2011 8:41 am

"Behold the glory and the might of the Swarm..."

The stars twinkled silently as they hung over the the quiet meadow. A full moon shone down on the soft grass, illuminating the clearing with it's bright, silver glow. The field was alive with the humming of the insects, and the rustling of the brush as the nocturnal creatures went about their lives, unaware of the danger that came swiftly and silently from the east. All of a sudden, as if the night itself had paused for a breath, the clearing went still.

Nivlac crept through the undergrowth, red eyes scanning the night as he slipped like a shadow through the forest. Next to him, Flan worked her way through the night, eyes always forward. Nivlac could smell her hunger, it emanated from her in a wave. His own thirst gnawed at the back of his skull, like a dull saw on stone.

Ahead, just past the clearing, Nivlac's sharp eyes caught the glint of a fire. He motioned Flan into silence, and gestured for her to stay put. He took two steps backwards and vanished into the dark.

Outside the clearing was a small village nestled in the rolling foothills, an odd assortment of cottages and huts sprawled around a cobblestone square. The lights were on as fires burned in the cottages, columns of smoke climbed from the chimneys, reaching like fingers into the night sky.

"Perfect."

Nivlac made his way back to the waiting Flan. Emerging from the dark in front of her, he held out his hand and flashed her one of his murderous smiles.

"Come, my hungry little friend. Tonight we shall feed well."

The unlikely partners quietly strode into the peaceful village. Within only moments, the still night was shattered by the frantic screams of the innocent villagers, howling with fear and agony as their precious lives were consumed to pacify the carnal urges of the two young Nightwalkers.

One little Indian boy was left all alone.

After leaving the base with Nivlac, Flandre was lead to a meadow of sorts where she was told to creep down low. She was unsure what was going on but she asked in a low whine, "When do we get to eeeeaaaat?" just like a child would ask. Little did she know there was a village on the other side of the clearing.

She sniffed the air and could smell food being cooked. She licked her lips,
"And where there's food being cooked, there's the REAL food cooking in." she said antsy and ready to pounce and strike the village. She was just waiting for the signal from Nivlac. Once he said 'Come, my hungry little friend. Tonight we shall feed well.' she got all the more excited to the point where she couldn't sit still.

She pet her Arcanine who crept up alongside her and whispered in his ears,
"Wait here Arca. We'll be back in a jiff okay?" she smiled as the loyal dog gave a smile and nod back. She gave him a pat behind the ears and rubbed there softly. He loved it and nuzzled up against her neck from it. She smiled and then focused her attention to the matters at hand. She turned to Nivlac and when he gave the signal to strike, that's when all hell broke loose.

The second the signal was given she leaped from the brush of the meadow and took off for the village as fast as possible, on all fours even, like she was some kind of beast or a monster. She charged headfirst into the village with her unusually long canines bared and her eyes wide open with the intention to kill. She got to the village in under ten seconds and when she did she shouted in a deep almost demonic voice,
"C'MERE!" and leaped onto a man's back. She began to sink her canines into his neck and pulled them out, watching the blood spew from his neck like a geyser. She watched him slowly die and once he did she tore her canines into his flesh every which way. Pulling off arms and limbs and biting the flesh clean off like they were chicken legs. Her mouth doused in blood by this point. She did the same to the next poor victim. Then the next. And the next. And the next. She had slaughtered and devoured at least ten people after tearing their skin clean off their body and devouring it, along with the meat, muscle, blood, and organs. She ate and ate until there were ten skeletons lying on the ground. She jumped at an eleventh person and twisted their head a clean three-sixty degrees until it snapped, followed by her pulling it clean off the neck. She wanted a snack for the road.

After the bloodshed and carnage she went back to the clearing with Nivlac,
"That was delicious!" she rubbed her stomach in a swirl like motion, "I couldn't eat another bite!" she giggled, saying all of this in a cute manner, despite what just happened. She smiled to Nivlac and raised the severed head she brought with her, "I even brought a snack." she offered it to him, "Want some?" she asked cutely, even though the face had that of sheer horror on it with eyes rolled into the back of its head and tongue sticking out, a dead and lifeless expression on the severed head.

When they returned to the clearing she walked to Arcanine and smiled at him,
"Okay Arca, we're all done here." she said cutely and pat him behind the ears again, but this time it would be a bloody pat, with Flandre literally covered head to toe in blood. "Thanks for waiting, buddy!" she said rubbing his head affectionately, almost like a bipolar loli after just slaughtering the innocent. The Arcanine smiled and gave a little, "Arf!" and nuzzled her hand close, as though he was unaffected by all of this and had seen it all before.

He went and hanged himself and then there were none...

"Behold the glory and the might of the Swarm..."

Nivlac watched the girl's enthusiasm with a thoughtful interest. So small, to be causing so much devastation. He raised his face to the full moon and let out a long, eerie laugh. Blood ran down his face and chest as he pounced onto his next victim, ripping a large chunk of flesh from the terrorized man's face.

Nivlac stood and licked his lips. He glanced down at the faceless man, no longer moving. So much meat to go to waste, and he'd already eaten his fill of the villagers. Not whole villagers, like the impressive little cannibal, Nivlac preferred to sample his victims, a piece here, a piece there. Well waste not, want not.

Nivlac reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a jet-black pokeball, engraved with a dark red rune. Tossing it onto the blood-stained cobblestone, Nivlac cackled aloud as the dark shape of his black Haxorus appeared in front of him.

"Beelzebub, join the party! Feast my friend, and we shall own this night!"

The Haxorus roared in response, and lowered its scaled head to tear at the man bleeding out on the floor of the town square. Once the beast had eaten its fill, Nivlac returned the black beast to its pokeball and glanced over at Flan, who had just picked her last skeleton clean. Together, the duo returned to the clearing where Arca was waiting patiently for Flan. Nivlac shook his head when Flan offered him a bite of the head, as he had eaten plenty.

"Now that we have fed, we must find Lord Verin. You DID express a desire to meet our leader, did you not? I can feel his presence to the north. This will be faster if we fly. Nightfang!"

Another jet-black ball appeared from inside the young man's jacket, visible for just one second before flying from his hand. It burst open and Nivlac's Hydreigon appeared, stretching its heads. Nivlac climbed onto its back.

"Well, are you coming?"
"...Watch as their wings blacken the sky."

Flandre watched as Nivlac sent out two Pokemon, a dark Haxorus and a dark Hydreigon. Her offer of the severed head was declined, but it didn't dampen her spirits in the least. She instead held onto it by the hair and put on a thinking face for a moment. "Hm...well...I AM curious as to who this Verin person is." she definately took her sweet time deciding. "Well...alright! I've got nothing better to do anyways." she giggled cutely, her blood stained smile ever the wider, but almost in a creepy, psychotic sense.

When offered to climb onto the Hydreigon's back she held up her hand and shook her head,
"Pass." she refused. "I don't like heights, besides..." she said patting her Arcanine's head. "Can't leave my little buddy behind." she smiled and ruffled it's hair. She gave Nivlac a wink, "Don't worry, I assure you I can keep up." she turned to her Arcanine. "Ready, Arca?" she asked as it nodded it's head and gave a small bark of approval.

She climbed onto it's back and layed against his mane,
"Don't worry, Nivlac. We can keep up." she said ready to dash. "My Arcanine here is known for it's speed!" she bragged and boasted. "So lead the way!" she said as her Arcanine crouched down on all fours and was just ready and waiting to follow the Hydreigon. Flandre was wondering what kind of person this Lord Verin really was.

Darkness and silence, that was all that surrounded Gideon. Though not a soul could see, he was moving towards his leader. He sensed Lord Verin's presence far to the north of his current location, but could easily tell that the master would need a little back up if his location was where he thought he was. Trying his best to shake the echoing words of his cousin from his head; with whom he rarely spoke; the trainer traveled on, merely a shadow traveling along the ground unseen.

As the swift trek continued, Gideon snapped alert from within his confines, "Dunstan! That way." he shouted into the vast empty darkness at seemingly nothing, but the shadow on the ground turned towards the way he pointed. The icy trained felt two more presences, and those of the dying nearby; one familiar, the other...new....fresh....yet still just as bloodthirsty as the other. 'Curious' he thought to himself, 'What kind of company is he keeping now?'

A matter of seconds later, a brilliant golden coffin rose from the ground near the two well fed youths, a distinctly eerie aura emanating from it. Suddenly two eyes snapped open, red as the blood that stained the ground; as a fanged smile spread across it's face. As the Cofagrigus stood there for a moment, a mist seemed to gather, and slowly it opened; a cold chill spreading from it as it did. Soon it crept further open, and out from the darkness that filled it's confines, Gideon stepped out, bandages wrapped around his entire body, save his mask.

Grasping at the wrappings, he pulled them loose from his face, revealing himself to both Nivlac and the child. Casting a cold calculating stare at the odd youngling, Gideon soon turned to his fellow Nightwalker and nodded in greeting; beginning to remove the rest of the bandages from his trip, "Hello again Nivlac. I see you've been out for a bit of a midnight snack hmm?" he stated, showing little emotion, other than a slight hint of disgust in his tone; something at the back of his mind screamed that it was wrong, but as usual, he ignored it, "I see that you have made a new...dining partner. Would you care to introduce me to this new tag along, and inform me as to why she is here?" he questioned; she wasn't a Nightwalker, unless she was fresh, new members were usually talked of at least.

"And on another note, I assume that you are making your way towards Lord Verin's location? Judging by your current state of assumed departure?"
