Tell the other members how you got into Karekano and why you liked it.
OK, the first time I saw it was because of a friend. He bought the Box set and we started watching it. And I liked it very much because it resembles my love life with my boyfriend heart Heh heh. You should see my journal for more details. It's the first post. mrgreen Now tell me how you got into it.

Well... my mom was showed me the manga aisle at the bookstore (my mother. Wow) And she was pointing out stuff like Sailor Moon... eek And I see Kare Kano, Volume 3. And I say "this one looks interesting". We bought it, I read it... I realized it was volume 3. And now I buy them regularly. (Great story, I know) I have up to volume 18.

I just like it because it's a sweet romantic comedy. I also like Yukino's personality. I'm a little like that, super-competative and short-tempered but generally very sweet. xd

A year ago, my friend showed me a series she was reading, Kare Kano. "This is funny" she said, so I took a look. I read a few pages, and sure enough, it was great. Few months later, I needed a new manga so I decided to buy the series my friend showed me. Then I just went on from there! n.n

I started reading Kare Kano because I saw it one day at Kinokuniya and liked the cover art. It also looked like it was really long, but still had a plot, which is a huge plus. I love how Kare Kano has so many different story arcs, with so many characters-there has to be someone you can identify with. I haven't watched the anime, but I'd like to.

.....this is going to make me sound old......
before you could download anime off of the internet.. when you got fansubs they were usually $5 for a fansub of four episodes. Also you never really knew what you were getting and hoped it would be good... well luckily.. I LOVED THE SERIES.... and was stuck on the first 4 episodes FOREVER! Than it came out commerically and I yoinked those babies from the shelf everytime they came out, lol.
Manga wise.. first time I went to Japan we went to a used book store (I LOVE those.. highly reccommend to anyone going to Japan) and found kare kano. I bought what I could, I can read it but not fully understand it.. sweatdrop see the problem?
Well, imagine my excitment when I found that they brought this series to America, manga too!! I am all caught up rigt now and am longing for the next manga release....

Hmm.. the anime has been long made before I noticed how nice the story is. Although the episodes were kind of poor during the last events, I already began to fall in love with it. There's also the fact that I see myself in the character of Tsubasa Shibahime. We are so alike in many ways (even the height!). I just wish that when somebody confesses their love for me, somehow, I'll be able to accept it, just like what happened to Tsubasa and Kazuma (oh, Kazuma, my Kazuma, where forth art thou?) heart

i dont know why but i just love it XD
i know this manga when im in like 1st grade
my brother was reading it...
and that time i dont get it at all so i think its so boring so i never want to read it still last year...XD
i was bored so i started fliping thorugh a tons of burned CDs(all manga+anime...)
and i found this thing.....
and since im smart(?) now i understand them so i just like them...

Well, the very first time I saw the anime was at On Demand (I saw the manga at Borders). I really like how they made the anime (when sometimes it's a still picture, or it's black and white, etc. I really like it because it reminds me of my life - including the male partner/rival.

how i got into it was i saw someone's signature with this guild's picture in it, and it was the start of this summer, so i decided that "this looks like a cute and innocent manga. i should read it" and, yay for local libraries, i started. it was a cute and innocent manga. and now i keep on reading it... yay!
i like it because it matches life alot. i sort of share the beliefs about how one person can put on a mask, to be someone else, and slowly but surely they become that person, and it would take a long time to recover... also, there's alot of striving to be the best...
and, it's a cute and innocent manga, of which there are so few that i've read...
