They couldn't help but fall in love with each other but as they grew up, their families wanted them to forget each other. But when the last year of high school, and prom came up they stayed away from each other. Now as a week before prom comes closer, they get stuck with people they do not love, for their feelings are for each other. As the night comes close Ember sees that her heart beats for ____, ____ feels as his heart beats for Ember. But for how long will their hearts beat for each other? Will their love never be together because of foolish families? Or will they forever be apart? Through out life, as a young women she learned that being alone wasn't good enough, with her best friend by her side she could do anything. But when her family bombed on her about moving to England for a year when she was 14 everything change. Yoliee sighed softly, bored out of her mind by the teacher's lesson. She had already learned these things. Her parents had hired a private tutor, to help keep her ahead. "It's the best way to be prepared!", she clearly remembered her father saying that, in his prideful tone. Yoliee glanced at the clock, only a few more minutes she had to endure..just a few. Her eyes couldn't help but fall on Ember, her heart ached. There she was! Beautiful, beautiful Ember. She sighed once more and looked down at her Hello Kitty designed notebook. Yoliee could also clearly remember the day her parents forbid her from speaking to Ember. Her heart whimpered at the flashback. Oh, how she wished, she had the ability of telepathy! To speak to her true love, in secret, through their minds. "Ember, I still love you..", she said in her thoughts. If only she could hear it.

Ember sat there working in her notebook, her brothers had always made her laugh as they spoke about their love life. The only time she had been in love was with Yoliee but they wont allowed to speak. Will since their parents hated each other. Just because of a stupid stupid grades, and background things. Sighing she drew a heart in her notebook. glancing at Yoliee her heart beated rapidly against her chest, this feeling for her old friend was love. Only if she had a power to tell her that, smirking she ripped out a piece of paper and wrote 'Hey, haven't talk for awhile.' then folded it in many different squares then passed it to Nathan. Nathan was her only friend in the school now, that didn't hate her. Nodding he passed it to Yoliee and smiled.

Yoliee returned the smile as Nathan gave her a folded note. He was a good guy, one of her friends too. Yoliee quickly opened it, she sighed softly, smiling at whose handwriting it was. She quickly wrote back. Yup~ I miss you.. Then folded it back up and gave it back to Nathan, so he could pass it to Ember. She hated how this was their last option, to talk through secret notes. But, it was better than not speaking at all. Yoliee glanced at the clock once more, seeing the bell would ring soon enough. And, Ember and herself would have to go their seperate ways once more, for lunch. She missed being around Ember so much, eating lunch with her and doing all sorts of things. Now, she ate lunch and did other stuff with a group of other girls, she could care less for. Was this really how it was going to be?

Ember read the note that she got back, feeling her heart break she wrote 'I miss you too but meet tonight at 10 at the old tree house' sending it to her thanks to Nathan. She went back to drawing, a shadowy figure stare up at her smiling she slowly but surly went into drawing dreaming. Letting her mind go into complete fantasy, there she was with Yoliee smiling and laughing, then she moved close her friend and laid her lips on hers. Shaking her head she blushed but hide it, knowing she was being a stupid idiot for thinking like that, feeling her heart beat fast she gulped. Ember needed to let her feelings out before it was to late. Sighing she couldn't wait til tonight, will she could finally be with her best friend and not deal with those of that did not care about her.

Yoliee thanked Nathan, as well. She smiled, happy that they would meet tonight. She put the note away and gathered her things, then left as the bell rang. She had lunch with the same group of girls, acting as if she loved being around them. Yoliee was excited, unable to really contain herself through the rest of the day. Finally, it was the end of the day. As usual, her Father came and picked her up in his precious Rolls Royce, then took her home. Yoliee quickly did her home work with ease, then impatiently watched the clock. Around 10, she snuck out of the house and quickly made her way to the old tree house, going inside and waiting for Ember. She had a surprise for her friend, her love, something she needed to give her.

At lunch Ember sat on the roof smiling. School slowly ended as she rode her skateboard all the way home, ignoring the homework and playing video games with her second oldest brother James, until 10 o'clock, smiling she jumped up "Night bro!" she said grabbing her skate board she rode off the steps of her families home hearing her brother yelling at her to come home before one. Giggling she rode to the forest, where the old tree house was slowly climbing up the steps. She put her up, her green brownish eyes glowing in the light smiling. "Hey," she said.

Yoliee grinned happily, a little gasp leaving her lips. She quickly helped her friend up. "Ember..", she said softly, pulling her into a close hug. She was so warm. Yoliee missed these hugs, this just made her heart skip a beat. She smiled,"I have something for you..", she spoke up, smiling her lovely smile. Quickly, she took out an emerald ring from her jacket's pocket and slipped it onto her friend's middle finger. "The emerald reminded me of your eyes. Though, your eyes are much more beautiful..", she told her softly, blushing slightly. Yoliee looked away, trying to hide it, not wanting to get teased or anything. She hoped Ember liked it, if she didn't, it was okay too.

Blushing lightly Ember looked at the ring then the stone, making her look at her her smile show love and passion. Speaking softly her lips moved slowly "Yoliee, its beautiful. Just like you" then hugged her, feeling her warmth touch, the way their bodies felt together, it was magic. Her heart beated fast in against her chest. Pulling away, Ember moved her fingers through her friend's hair she whispered "I love it" Then moved in close. Close enough that their lips almost touched, she blushed deeply closed her eyes and slowly placed her lips upon her's.
