Yulia/Julia Volkova released her English debut single All Because of You, the English version of her Russian debut single, Sdvinu Mir (Change the World). When I first saw the trailer, I thought the English sounded pretty cool. I patiently awaited last night and found the full video on youtube. When I listened to her sing the first verse in English, I was just disgusted. I know that sounds NASTY, but...I was just disappointed. When t.A.T.u. ended, she was JUST getting better and more understandable in English. And now she's gonna throw those skills away? It's like her accent is heavier than ever...In their final song Don't Regret, I understood everything she was saying for once. I understood Rage, Stand Up, but I had to look up the lyrics to Woman All the Way Down (that has to be the worst song she's done so far).

It just sounds like she's having more fun with Sdvinu Mir. But with All Because of You, she sounds bored or maybe she was pissed that she had to record an English version. Look, I know English is a difficult language for people that don't naturally speak it. But Yulia/Julia has been speaking it for 10 or 11 years now. She didn't start fully speaking until 2005 or 2006. Now she can speak in complete sentences, and I'm happy for her.

I just feel that she seriously half-assed All Because of You.
