This, too, shall pass. I agree with Kyrenx. It seems like this is part of the beginning of a Steampunk "fad." The true Steamficianados will survive. Something like this was bound to happen with the rising popularity of Steampunk.
I look at the silver lining of this: younger people will now be exposed to Steampunk and will, hopefully, look into it.
Also, I agree about the girl in the hoop dress. She's ridiculously awesome (as are most of the dancers in the video)!
I think the comparison picture on the MTV page of what looks like a combination of a live model, something ripped from World of Warcraft, and a badly Photoshopped Bieber head is hilarious.

I donno, I can't say much for his music as I am not much of a fan but I have become a real fan of his sense of humor and comedy. I actually really like the Biebs mainly because he has made it a new thing to make complete fun of himself and I appreciate that in a person. And honestly, his music is not that bad if you concider that he was discovered and his populatity boomed with practically his first couple songs.
If anything, I'm going to play devil's advicate here and say that I think it's really cool that he IS in steampunk, it actually allows me to have another level of respect for the guy and obviously he is at least a small bit nerd otherwise he would never be caught dead in thoes outfits (which are sick btw lol)
So there is my 10 cents on the matter smile
