K-PAX
A movie that was made in 2001 starring Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges. It's mainly about a man named Prot, in a mental hospital, who claims he is from a planet called K-Pax, and while the psychiatrist bonds with this particular man, he also begins to find the explanations of what K-Pax really is.
I was watching this movie in Psychology, since finals were coming up, he made us watch this movie for the time being. My god, am I glad to watch it! Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges are the real deal here. The chemistry between Prot (Kevin Spacey) and the psychiatrist (Jeff Bridges) was very well done. Kevin Spacey was great as he was the cool Prot and then a minute later suddenly change into a different alter ego with a traumatic life.
The acting is what really kept the story going, as much as the filmaking in general. It's a movie where you're very hooked to the characters. I cared very much about Prot, and I felt sad for him about his life and what he had been put through.
There are no other ways to describe the film, other than the acting and story are well put together by the filmaking. The ending is ambiguous, leaving the question as to if Prot is really an alien or not. It's up the viewer to decide.
