Right. Title implies everything.
Right now I'm reading Furies of Calderon by Jim Butcher.
It's not the kind of book I'd normally read, but it's about ancient Romans. With magic, and frost giants, and magic. So I decided to check it out.

Nothing, but I ought to get started on something during break now that I've got the time... Considering finishing the girl with the dragon tattoo series because of the movie, but eh... Not really sure if I liked them to begin with. :I

Dracula by Bram Stoker.
I've been interested for years, but never got around to obtaining a copy.
Can't seem to get far without being interrupted, though.

OOo yay, I was hoping a thread like this would pop up. I'm always looking for good books to read.
I'm recently reading both Far From the Madding Crowd (by that devil hardy, trying to forgive him after reading Tess D: ) and Gullivers Travels.
Trying to burn through as many classics as I can.
Does anyone else miss Harry Potter terribly? D:

Diet Poison Dracula by Bram Stoker. I've been interested for years, but never got around to obtaining a copy. Can't seem to get far without being interrupted, though. Oh em gee. I went through a 'classic monster' phase a year ago and Dracula was the last one I read of that list. And while I love frankenstein, dorian grey, etc, dracula was just horrible to me personally. It took me a handful of days with the other ones, but it took me a year to finish stoker.

Thanks to being forced to do so many papers on Frankenstein in high school, I haven't been able to finish that particular book. Then again, I love The Phantom Of The Opera, and that one can be slow as well. We'll see what I think of it when I have a chance to get through it.

For me it was interesting at the beginning, then it got to a certain point and I was like GOOD GOD THIS IS NEVER GONNA END. I always finish a book I start, but Dracula tested all my limits. And its not a very long book either. I think it's the style of writing that bugged me.
You should definitely finish Frankenstein though, freaking book made me cry D:

Dracula isn't bad so far...it's just like, get to the point already! I don't care what someone had for dinner or breakfast, unless it affects the story. I'm getting BioShock: Rapture for Christmas, though, so every other book is going to have to wait. rofl

[[The Kneebone Boy by Ellen Potter. Kind baby-ish for my reading level and usual reads, but the cover got me interested. Shy/mysterious looking long haired boys are my weakness.
I have a HUGE reading list i need to deplete over this break... Curse of the Wendigo, Ship Breaker, The Hunger Games, Ranger's Apprentice, the absolute value of -1, Sweetly, Count of Monte Cristo, The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Dante's Inferno, etc.]]

Your reading list intrigues me, and I just wrote down a couple. I read the first two hunger games, and they sated the great harry potter hole in my soul. Also the Count of Monte Cristo is FABULOUS. One of my favorite books.
I feel like I hijacked this thread a little, haha I get a little too excited over books D:

This does remind me to start reading some classics again, though... ★
