In the begining, there were two races that walked the earth, those who decended of man, humans, and those who decended of wolves, Wolverine.
At first, both races seemed able to co-exist peacefully and enjoy each other, but then fighting began as conquest for superiority of the other arose.
Humans and Wolverine entered a state of constant war with massive cassualties on both sides that lasted for over 100 years.
Now, the Wolverine have been pushed back into the most uninhabbitable land, their pack leader growing old and ready to choose a new successer.
As fate would have it, a Wolverine named Aauronn is chosen to lead the pack, but not because of his bloodlust on the battle field, but because of his gentleness, even towards his enemies.
Aauronn surrenders to the humans in an effort for peace between the races, though, while he tries to make peace, his mate carrying his unborn pup was killed in a raid on one of the Wolverine camps.
Though full of hurt and dispair, Aauronn does not retaliate and signs a treaty with the humans that land would be given to the Wolverine for their promise to never harm a human, even if they trespassed onto their land.
Life is calm within the Wolverine tribes and all thoughts of war seem to have dispersed with the exception of a few individuals.
One day, on a run of their boarders, a scouting group find a human female and decide to take her back to Aauronn who must decide what to do with her.
