A dig site near town where most of the statues of people who became inactive are now located.

Sonic the hedgehog found Zack without too much trouble. The Chaos statues were now acting as either body guards or as totem relics. Either way, it wasn't a good sign. Jumping onto Zack's shoulder, Sonic then greeted, "Hello? Are you Zack, the dig site guy that Terry Bogard told me about?"

Sonic continued, "My name is Sonic the hedgehog, and I was the one that made this island. I have come to give you a warning before going all hammer happy with the digging. Below these grounds is another hedgehog named Shadow. That hedgehog's spirit has been haunting the lands as vengeance towards me. If you end up freeing the hedgehog you discover here, you might end up accidentally killing everyone here because of Shadow's influence. Therefore, I am going to recommend that you leave the hedgehog alone if you should find it. As for the crystals you may find, place them in this specific rucksack and hand them over to Dee. The crystals in here are known as chaos crystals and they are bad. The statues you've moved here, they are likely an altar that Shadow's ghost has been whispering to Dee about so that she is unawaringly part of the cause of the ruin that this Island will take if Shadow the Hedgehog is set free. Shadow has also used his chaos powers to shrink me so that the best I can do for messages around here is to jump on others's shoulders. If you don't believe me, go find Terry. He's got the book I wrote about Shadow the Hedgehog. I do hope we succeed in defeating Shadow though."

Sonic stayed on Zack just in case the digger had any more questions.

Ari ran to the dig site, since she had nothing to do she might as well help.
"Hey I heard we have a dig site now, May i help i have nothing better to do for a few days.." Then she noticed a furry blue thing that looked like it belonged in her manga, or one of her video games. "Soo cute!! Anyways lets get to work Mr fossil guy! Oh and i heard what you guy just said to."

"I know its creepy i had to sleep with them outside my window for a few nights!"
She said as she dug in the eath about a half hour of small talk later she found a gem with a rainbow shine shaped like a oval . "Hey how much you think this is worth? Looks like an opal sorta but i dont think it is."

"No, I don't need anything else, thank you. I just wanted to warn you of the danger just so you don't accidentally have to be removed from the village for turning everyone into statues because if Shadow possess you because you released him, then by the time someone who can pass judgement comes along, they will look to you and I don't wanna see that happen. Later!"

Sonic rolled off of Zack's shoulder and headed for the Pond.

Ari ran to the dig site never mind that she had not tended to her store in a while or that she was not that prepared. Ins.hat the ghost of Zelda was watching her and it gave her the courage to do what she had to.
"Zack! You may not know but this mine has to be destroyed. You should run now i dont want to hurt anyone but this has to be done. I know you must be wondering why but i cant tell you just yet please forgive me."

As Link was on his way to deliver the goods from his ranch, he sensed danger at the dig site and ran to see what was going on. His heart lurched momentarily as he knew the second he saw the scene.

He shouted to Zack, "Do you disobey my mother's orders? My mom ordered Ari to do this! Destroying this dig site may be the only thing to save this town, and if you won't then I will!"

Setting his basket down, he drew a bright arrow from a quiver he had cleverly hidden and loaded it onto a bow that had been clear to see. "I don't want to have to shoot you, Zack, but failure to comply with royal orders and preventing those ordered by the royal family to do their jobs is punishable by death. My true name is Prince Linken Bogard of the Renaissance Galaxy. This land, this planet, this galaxy is under my mother's rule and I have been given divine rights to protect it just as much as my mother does."

Link nodded to Ari to move, just in case and telepathically said, "I know my mom told you to do this to free me and somehow I freed myself, but mom is freakishly clever. She knows that whatever's down in that site must be buried for all time never to be set free again. By me breaking free of my prison, I was able to put that rotten spirit back into this hell hole. We can talk more later over treats after this is done, okay? We should work together on this too."

Smiling at Ari, Link then turned his attention back to Zack.

(Zack, don't worry, this is just for dramatic reasons also. I know that you would move and that my actions are a bit over the top, ha ha ha!)
