 Being setup like a real-life alchemist's lab is Serenity Rivers' classroom, so cleverly named after the course she teaches. Here is also where she runs a reagent shop; after her classes are all finished for the day.
The room is old-fashioned, with wooden floors and wall-paneling, and even ceiling. Though it looks and feels real, the none of it ever seems to splinter or crack, even with all the weight of the school above it and all the traffic the room sees during the days, it's all in tip-top shape.
In the back of the room is a small office where the teacher keeps her log-books, and holds her counseling meetings.
The room's desks are almost never as empty as you see in the picture, and are normally instead coated completely with vials, tubules, flasks, bottles, ingredients, enzymes, reagents, powders, and papers.

Having only recently been accepted into the school's teaching program, Serenity was thrilled. It was the first huge accomplishment in her life, and she planned to enjoy it to her fullest. Walking about the room on her hind-legs, she loved the feel of the enchanted wood below her paws, the smell of it through her muzzle, and even the sight of it... Everything was perfect. With one last deep breath, she clapped her hands together. "Alright... I have some setting up to do before the students arrive!" She cheerily spoke to herself, humming a tune as she worked; preparing the tables with a few basic books and tools.
After several hours of preparation, cleaning, and waiting, she realized that her class may not be the first of the day for most students, and, instead of standing around doing nothing, she decided to go ahead and start brewing a little treat for her first class of the day - a sweet, honey-based, non-alcoholic mead.

}+{ Allan J. Rahl }+{
A light rapping on the door, a pleasured hum, and Allan poked his head in. "Hello, Mrs... Rivers?" He asked gently, making sure he had the right room. He examined his teacher for a moment, before smiling and nodding to his friend down the hall. "Felix! It's this way."
~~*Serenity Rivers*~~
Serenity giggled gently at her student's reactions. "Well, well-well! The first group of the day." She smiled, observing this strange avoral. "I do wonder how many of you there will be..." Curious as well as thrilled, she just waited for her class to arrive. "I do hope you'll accept my... less-than-dressed appearance. I like to teach my students as I would my children. Oh! And, please help yourselves to the mead - it should be just about finished." She added so the other student could hear as well. Felix was his name, or, so she overheard.

He blinked, tilting his head. "What's mead? Is it some kind of wheat?" He looked at the classroom. It was cool, but since he'd never been in any classroom, it was only natural he was so thrilled to be in one. "H-Hello, ma'am."

~~*Serenity Rivers*~~ Serenity couldn't hold back a light chuckle. "Hello... Felix, was it?" she smiles. "I'm Serenity Rivers, the Lycanthropic Alchemist. And, to answer your question - Mead is an old-timey alchoholic beverage normally made from brewing various grasses such as wheat or barley with honey and yeast." She blushes gently as she welcomes them into the homely classroom, not having meant to sound like a dictionary. "Please, feel free to choose your own seats. And call me Serenity, not Ms. Rivers, please. The latter's a little too formal for me."
}+{ Allan J. Rahl }+{ "Yep! And it's great with Raspberry." He adds to the mead speech. Seeing Felix's reaction to being in the classroom, he too looked about the room and took in all the sights and smells of the miniature brewery. Responding to Serenity, he shook his head. "I've nothing against it, Ms. Rivers... err... Serenity. In fact, I respect you more for it - it seems like so many nowadays prefer to hide their blessings." He nodded to add emphasis to what he said, then gently nudged Felix. "Well, Where'd you like to sit, buddy? Looks like the tables are set up for partners... Like most labs I've seen."

He looked at Allan and smiled, taking a seat in the middle of the classroom. "Here. I like sitting in a place that can be surrounded by others."
