Karis had been abandoned as a very young key. She spent a lot of time out trying to make friends to no avail. She seemed to always do well with the children and youngers, but they would grow up and find other locks and keys to busy their time with. Always they would drift away, never to think about her or talk to her anymore. She kept trying over and over. Maybe this person would become her new friend. Or, maybe this person could be a potential date, but none of it ever came true. She was always alone. Then, it happened that one winter, on a christmas night. She was sitting on a stone ledge that was outside a cave high above a waterfall. She prayed to the great spirit of Pachyu that she would be blessed with someone who would come and love her. Someone who was made just for her. As her tears fell and trickled into the water that rushed down by the waterfall, a little blink of a snowball light appeared on the horizon.

As the ball of light got closer, it grew and grew until it appeared before her. It was an angel. Not white or gold, but blue like a fresh snowy afternoon. His wings were fluffy and soft like cotton balls. He appeared to her like a vision, and she thought her sadness had made her mad. He spent a night with her, but he didn't violate her innocence. She kept trying to discover the secret of what he was or who he was. He never answered any of her questions. He only ever replied with soothing statements and promises that he had been sent to comfort her. He said he'd always be there and help her if she needed him. Of course, she was super excited. She offered prayers of thanks to the gracious spirit of Pachyu as she was answered so immediately.

However, this respite and blessed event was short lived. After some time, he went off to see about something, and he never returned. She never knew why. He never said good bye. She never heard of something bad happened to him. She waited in her cave for him to come back. First it was only a few days she waited, but days turned into months. Months turned into years. Though after the first year, she had made it up in her heart. He was NOT coming back. She wasn't a clue as to why that was, but for sure, he would not be coming back. Was it her? She wondered. Was there just something in her that made other locks or keys not want to be close to her? Not even as a friend? or someone to share things in her life with? That's all she wanted. They didn't have to stay with her always and forever. She'd often when bathing in a nearby river; shed her tears there in the water. Bitter tears of being alone. She didn't want to be alone. She desperately wanted to have others in her life to share it with her. Had she committed some terrible karma in a previous life? maybe.. and that was why she was cursed to such loneliness.

Then, all that time, her bitterness also started to create within her an abandonment complex. For anyone she met, she was deeply insecure with. For she believed that she was just unloveable. Noone would want her. Noone would stay with her and play games with her. Noone would WANT HER to be their own special key. But, though her despair was great; every night before she went to sleep, she'd still lift up prayers and laments to the Pachyu. May see fit to reward her long suffering with someone to come into her life. and, this prayer she prayed... she did everyday without fail for what was some three years passed.

Then came a new winter's morning. The ground was covered in fresh snow. It was thick, and all the trees had lost their leaves. Pinetrees looked like the big boys on campus with all their pine needles fresh and thriving. She was in a small patch of forest near a lake. She was rolling big snow balls to try and make a snowman. As she was trying to lift the middle ball up, out stroke a long and elegant creature. He was white and covered with spots. He stood next to her and picked up that ball and helped her. He then played in the snow with her.

A whole day he had spent with her. She wondered where he came from. She hadn't seen him before near the cave. When she asked of him, he was just out having a walk. Hmm... Well, she had been lonely a long time, so she almost couldn't stop herself from pouring out her soul to him. She began to tell him of her tales. Her stories of those she'd befriended who were never around anymore. Those who had promised to be with her always and were never around.

In that story, her naive innocence and desire for companionship and love appealed to him. He told her that he would stay with her as long as she needed. She wasn't sure she had heard him right. Surely, he must be joking.. or Lying...He started to prove himself. He didn't go away. One day she asked him if he were an angel, sent to rescue her. He had smiled and told her that if she didn't realize; he was a God who had been penetrated by the profoundity of her sadness. He felt that sending anyone else to comfort her was not good enough. He would come himself and comfort his precious Karis. She wept and wept of happiness. Finally, her prayers she had prayed were answered. In her eyes, his beautiful white feline coat came to look to her as her deliverer and her comforter. He became her hero, and he was her everything. In what was one of the darkest moments of her heart, he appeared to her. Just when she felt like she was almost about to give up and die of a broken heart. He showed up before her.

She was quickly taken with him. He had been taken somewhat with her for more carnal and nefarious selfish purposes. Still, those things never settled for a second in her mind; as she could only see him as her savior. He was everything she ever wanted for herself. She would always do anything and everything he ever wanted. Faithful he stayed to always stay with her.
