Andromeda was about to head straight to the Howlite Haven but decided head toward their pack's first den in Canis Major. She normally was a stressfree Alphess but Akela's situation bothered her. She loved Akela very much, she remembered when her and Akela first met, and how took her father's challenge to become her mate. She remembered their marriage ceremony, their wedding night, but a detail was shared before they married. Akela shared with Andromeda about his curse and didn't want to give her pups in case the gene could spread to their offspring. She had grown to love Akela very very much and accepted him for who he was. Although they had two step daughters. . .one being her best friends daughter and the seconding was their pack's daughter with great potential to be the next Alphess. She wished for have Akela's child. She quietly began to look through the old den's stuff.

Sagitta had awoke early this morning to patrol the territory before the grand celebration tonight. As she was racing through the territory with her eagle owl Regulus flying above her. Suddenly Regulus began to fly toward a different direction which made Sagitta pause.
"Regulus!" she called out to him and the silly owl continued flying forward. "Ookay. . ." she thought following until she found the old Canis Major den site. "Oh, hey. . ." she said spotting the place thinking back remembering with a smile. "Yes, Reg. We use to live here. . ." she smiled talking to the owl who landed on a tree branch above her. She than spotted Sirius, Andromeda's Harpy eagle sitting on the roof of the den. "Hey, Sirius." she acknowledged when figured Andromeda was probably inside. "Alright, Reg. You led me here for a reason. Let's find out." she said knocking politely before entering. "Hello. . ." she called. "Andromeda. . ." she called her Alphess name until spotting her gazing out the window. "Greetings my lady. Reg, lead me here. I'm guessing he thought you needed some company." she smiled than noticed Andromeda had been crying. This was an awkward situation because Sagitta never saw Andromeda cry. "Umm, why don't I leave you. You obviously meant to be alone. . ." she appologized nervous beginning to back out the bedroom door.

Andromeda was quietly looking through an old room that once belonged to her, Akela, and her two daughters Procya and Artemis. She missed Procya and Artemis as much as she missed Akela every time he left due to his curse. This evening was an important celebration for Procya and Artemis. They would become true Moon pack members and thus compete for the Alphess title. It seems Procya and Artemis have been competeing since they were very small. Andromeda raised the girls equally and side by side together with no special treatment toward either. It was like the two girls knew they weren't blood related. Procya had grown independent, strong, but arrogant. And Artemis had also grown independent, optimitic, but absent minded of the possibly she too could be Alphess someday. Yes, it was true her two daughters were different like the sun and moon which made her laugh. As her mind was busy a familar voice interupted her flash of memories.
"Sagitta. . ." she questioned before hearing her dear friend back away ashamed of catching her Alphess in tears. "No, Sagitta wait." she called out following. "Please, don't go. Regulus, obviouly knew I needed company. Remind me to award him with a delicious mouse later." she smiled embracing Sagitta. "I was currently remembering when Procya and Artemis were just little girls and pups. Procya came to our pack as an infant and Artemis's parent's leaving this world early like Procya's. Parents, never getting to watch their daughter's grow so beautiful and strong. Yet, without them I would not have daughters." she smiled looking to Sagitta.

Sagitta smiled when Andromeda asked her to stay and keep her company. Together they continued the conversation into the small cozy kitchen of the den. As Andromeda began to share her brief memories of Procya and Artemis she was searching for tea and began warming up some water. Procya and Artemis were yearlings beginning a new chapter of the Moon pack lives. It was true soon the girls would be competeing for the heiress position and that sometimes gets ugly especially between siblings. Yet, she pointed out that Procya was obviously ready for the task when Artemis over looked the possibility of being Alphess.
"Yes, you've raised very good girls. They are both independant, huntress's and warriors. I have had the greatest honor of taking Procya under my wing to tain her while Bellemiere has been coaching Artemis." she smiled. "They are very different like sugar and spice that is true. It is a shame their parents are not around to watch them grow but spiritually they have been watching." smiled Sagitta sipping her tea. "You have everything to be proud of when it comes to those girls." she smiled before noticing Andromeda's long face. "I'm guessing Akela won't be there?" she asked being one of the few to know of his condition. Andromeda looked up to her stirring her tea and shook her head disappointed. "I'm sorry. I feel for you my lady. We'll continue to search for a cure." she sat taking her hand as her Alphess broke down crying. "You know he's hear in spirit. He's been a great father to those girls. It's just without him there they'll not understand him having to be away. . .it's time to tell them why Ann." she said softly to Andromeda.

Andromeda was seeking solitude when coming to the old den but Sagitta's presence was pleasant. As Andromeda could no longer hide her emotions she allowed herself to cry in front of Sagitta especially about her dear mate's condition. She knows her daughters may not understand their father's absence and knew this hidden secret could no longer be kept from them.
"Sagitta, you are wise in your youth. You are right the truth about my beloved's condition must be shared with our daughters. They are no longer children but young adults. They must know why their father can not be there to celebrate tonight. Although, I wish there was a better way and time to break such news to them. I don't wish to spoil their homecoming and celebration this evening. Yet, it might be upset with their father for not being present and resent him for not sharing the truth with them." she thought and shared with Sagitta. Andromeda left the view of the window to search for the choice of tea she enjoyed the best peach tea. "Once we finish our tea. We should return home to get ready for the celebration. I hope everything is ready." she smiled looking to Sagitta.

Sagitta went to search for her very own choice of tea while Andromeda spoke. As Sagitta was deciding whether to have green tea or peach tea she heard Andromeda complement and thank her for her wisdom. Sagitta was very happy to help Andromeda feel better about her situation and decide it was important to tell Procya and Artemis about their father's condition. She knew the task would not be easy to explain especially since his condition has remained a secret from them. They may or may not understand the need to keep such a thing a secret. As Sagitta and Andromeda happily enjoyed their tea. Andromeda was right it was time to return home and get ready for the celebration tonight. Hopefully the girls have returned and everything is ready. Once they were done she took the cups, rinsing them, washing them, and sitting them to dry.
"Alright, my lady. Ready to go home and welcome your girls home." she smiled.

There was a moment of peace and silence as Andromeda and Sagitta enjoyed their tea together before returning to the haven. She smiled when Sagitta generiously took their tea cups and washing them before they left. Once Sagitta was done it was time to return home to welcome her daughters home. Andromeda stood with better spirits about her mate's situation and needing to tell her daughters of his condition.
"Yes, Sagitta. Let's make way and haste. I can't wait to welcome my daughters Procya and Artemis home." she smiled placing a gentle hand on Sagitta's shoulder. Andromeda suddenly felt a disturbance and staggered. "Oh my. . .Akela's home early." she looked to Sagitta in alarm. "I sensed him briefly and Procya's home worried." she said happily but gasped in disappointment. "We must hurry!" she barked transforming into her wolf form leading the way home.((To the haven))
