Karis paused and landed somewhere. Sometime over the recent journey, she had grown wings; and she had come into possession of a pretty ribbon that adorned her neck. It matched her tail, and she was delighted. Before, she had always felt exceptionally simple in shadow of chiyukii's godliness and Chrno's fancy hair and shoes. She stretched those wings to test them out. She blushed as she found a pond to look at herself with. How pretty she felt of herself. Would her Lord Yuki like it? She also noticed the ribbon had a key in it. What was that to? What an interesting item.. She better keep it since it seemed to match the scarf. She figured she'd carry it around in her mouth for the time being, so she wouldn't drop it anywhere.

As she stretched, she decided she wanted to show Yuki her wings and neck ribbon. She ran off to go find him sleeping. She paused next to him and clasped her paws together as her eyes glazed over in admiration and love. He was just so majestic when he slept. She crept over and sat next to his head to pet it and stroke him behind his ears. She wasn't sure how asleep he still was. Never wake up a Chiyuki from the front, so he wouldn't swipe at you out of his cat instincts.

Yuki woke to a wonderful soothing sensation. Someone was petting him... without meaning too, Chiyuki began to purr loudly, his tail wrapping whatever lovely warm object was next to him petting him. Drowsily, he slowly sat up, letting out a yawn, tongue stick out and all. When he finally got his bearings, he realized it was Karis petting him. With a mischievous grin, Yuki wrapped his tail around her more tightly, bringing her closer to him when he noticed something different about her. From where did she get... wings?

"Karis dear, where in the world did you acquire... wings...?"

She also seemed to be holding a key of some sort. Shrugging it off, he began to leave her side: it was time to hunt for food, and he had to feed himself and Karis. He figured Chrono was probably off somewhere (that male always disappeared for some days and then returned) and would be back ... eventually. He knew Karis would tell him everything and not lie about anything, so even if he left to find food now he could just ask her later, if he was still curious... and cared.

"Allow me to leave to find us food before you answer, dear one," he added on silkily. As he began to slink off, he suddenly felt a tug. Thinking it was Karis pulling on him for his attention, he turned to look at her to see that she hadn't yet moved from her spot, and was simply watching him with adoring eyes. Somewhat confused, Yuki tried to leave once more, and then, another tug, even stronger than before. Next thing he knew, he was next to Karis again, almost upon her ravenously. It was then he noticed the lock and chain around his body.

What... What is going on!?

Yuki suddenly felt that he couldn't leave Karis's side. It was impossible. She would have to come with him if he had to go hunting... For whatever reason, he was drawn to Karis; the lock around his neck kept leading him back to her, and he could not refute it, try as he might.

The feel of his tail touching her at all anywhere. But, being wrapped around her, made her feel ecstatic for some reason. She always enjoyed his purring since she always took that as a sign she was doing something right. She yielded her weight to being able to be shifted easily by him. "Good morning my Yuki!" Then, she beamed at him with that innocent and naive unfailing adoration she had for him.

Now, one might think this adoration was silly or stupid. Maybe if he went away for a bit, she'd get over it, but they had their seperations before. Some were only a few days, hours, or weeks; then she had a few that lasted for months. Everytime she had her reunion with him; her feelings continued to grow and grow. Her feeling had grown to a bursting point that any feelings associated with him were indicative of happiness. Of course, If he chose to go off a wondering around, she'd always be happily waiting for him to come back. Deep down, her heart never felt that he was leaving at all.

Then, that afternoon, as he started to walk away and come back. She giggled as she thought he was just being nice to her. He was always very nice. He seemed to always agree with most of what she said, or he would gently guide her into a better way to go or think. But, his last coming back and being so close, that his true height over her was almost imposed. If she hadn't loved him so much, she might have felt fear, but she just felt like maybe something was wrong.

"Yuki??? What is it? Did I forget to kiss you goodluck?" Her eyes blinking and glazing like dreamers' eyes do. And, then she started to feel something happen. Her key that was then under her paw kept vibrating. Her eyes looked down at her paw. Whoa... what was with this key.
PostPosted: Tue Jan 03, 2012 5:13 pm

"...No, I forgot to give you a kiss," he whispered, and then stopped, completely confused. What had made him say that? It was almost... loving, the way he said it.

Sure, he enjoyed Karis's undying adoration and love for him, but he did not love love her, and this was new to him. And just as suddenly, his lock was pulling him ever closer to Karis. He could not leave. He had to be here. If he tried to leave, he would only find himself suddenly turning around and returning to Karis's side. From where had he acquired this lock, anyway!? Having a lock meant he'd lost his freedom... and oh, Yuki couldn't stand it if he lost his freedom.

It occurred to Yuki that Karis's key was his only hope. If her key released him from his lock, he'd be free. Forgetting about the chain, he stared at Karis, and then drew her closer to him. He pulled her closer, and then gently kissed her, wrapping his tail around her tightly. For some reason, hugging her this close soothed him. Yuki didn't understand it, but he couldn't let her go. Somehow, he knew if he let her go, he wouldn't be able to stand it. There was a nagging pain that he had long forgotten behind his facade of being a "god"--the feeling of utter loneliness he had worked hard to ignore. If Karis left... Chiyuki didn't want to think about it.

"...Karis..."

Her eyes widened and enlarged at first a tad and then slightly increasingly more.. His voice.... sounding like this. There was something... new... something different in that whisper. Her eyes regalled as if she were watching a meteor shower or something of rare and beautiful. What was this? Did he feel sick? He didn't usually speak to her in such a distinctively lovey dovey tone of voice.

She couldn't really even articulate words to respond to this before he kissed her. For some reason she could not fathom but immediately fell in adoration to in her heart with thanks, it felt so different. It was better. It was probably the best one he had ever given her. It sent what was almost like electricity shooting up through her ears causing them to stand up on end. Her tail poofed out, and one of her feet wanted to tap out like it was sending an emergency sos alert.

AMAZING.... No.. Don't stop that... Her heart was overflowing with happiness. And, as he hugged her, the key had slipped out from under her paw, and the power that love had sung to it caused it to fly up towards the lock. Like a paperclip to a magnet, it clank against his lock. Karis's eyes for the first time since that opened and looked at her key. Well.. that was something. She had no idea why she had thought to do it. Suddenly, just as the key and lock has sung to each other; she had that urge to push her key to see if it fit his lock. As she pressed it, it slid into his lock. There was a soft but deftly "CLICK" sound that clicked in there. Ohhh.. What did that mean???
PostPosted: Tue Jan 03, 2012 5:39 pm

The sound of his lock clicking brought Yuki away from Karis for a moment, and then he got an overwhelming sensation like never before. Suddenly, Yuki found it unbearable to think to be apart from Karis--ever. Forgetting he was supposed to find them food, he returned to devouring Karis with more passion than he ever had before. She was no longer a fond, favorite toy to him. His lock had been a barrier to his true heart. He had kept it hidden and guarded for so long, he almost lost Karis. But thanks to her--and her key--his emotions for her were unleashed.

And he intended to show Karis every bit of love and care he had hidden from her for so very long.

"My dearest... Karis..." he whispered gently against her ear, kissing it softly, reveling in the warmth and, well, softness of her body... and her gentle, innocent character he loved so dearly. He had avoided admitting these emotions, but perhaps Karis would know through this physical affection. Chiyuki wasn't sure if he'd be able to say the words yet. But for now, he had to show Karis just how much he valued her. He refused to think of losing her to any other male. She was his. Period. End of story. No ifs, ands, or buts, Karis was his.

"...Karis..." He couldn't stop saying her name. It was a relief to be free of his mask... Chiyuki knew it kept others around him away because he often seemed arrogant and put on airs, but Karis worked her way past that barrier. She was someone he had needed all along.

((for anyone reading, play this while you continue reading?)

What.... was this???? It was so surreal. It felt and sounded real, but she just knew that this was another dream. Any second, she'd wake up and feel so disappointed that this really didn't happen. Of course, unlike some dreams, he hadn't really made that super declaration of love that her heart deeply wished for. Still, the dream wasn't over yet. Any moment he might say it. But, even with out that.... Everytime he whispered her name, she felt chills run up and down her spine. Every nerve in her body was on fire and felt like she was about to explode.

Then, finally as these dam of emotions were overflowing to the point of flooding her little bunny being. Her body began to tremble, and then her eyes filled with tears. This felt and seemed so real. Why couldn't this be it? It might be the only thing she truely wanted for herself, and she rarely ever wanted something for herself so much. She was always usually never wanted to wish for things and prevent someone else from having a wish. But... her love for him was so consuming. That feeling could no longer be separated from who she was as a person.

"Oh... Yuki... I love you so much. You can't even possibly imagine.... but.. I just know... this won't last.. the moment I get all happy and excited... I'm going to wake up." The steady stream of tears flowed that had sprung.

Chiyuki frowned at Karis's words, and decided he'd show her just how real it was. He was still a coward, so he wouldn't confess his own love yet, but he accepted her feelings. He always had. He would return them with all he could. "Silly Karis... This is very real." Then, he gently bit her ear, hard enough to let her know it was real, but not so hard it pained her too much. He didn't want to hurt his dear Karis anymore than he already head. Leaving her wallowing in unrequited love was cruel and even Chiyuki couldn't bear the weight of that kind of sin.

He supposed he'd finally been won over; so he only had to give in. His lock had shown him the way, regardless of how blinded he'd been. Karis was the one he'd been searching for all his life, though he didn't know it. His lock had kept careful guard of his soul and his heart, and it had drawn him towards Karis for a reason, one he finally knew. He understood it now. He drew Karis closer, kissing her everywhere, needing to feel her, needing her. He was head over heels and he hadn't realized it till now. But no longer would he deny it. Still, Yuki wasn't sure how Karis would react if he told her in truth. She had come to expect that he didn't care for her in that way, and this 180 turn-around was probably shocking the poor female from head to toe.

It was cute, though.

At first, she didn't believe his reassurance that it was real, but his bite to her ear made her realize that it WAS real. One might think knowing it was real would dry her tears, but then the flow increased. She no longer weeped for unrequited feelings, but her tears were her happiness. It was more than she could possibly process in just one moment.

She did the only thing she could do. Her words would be saturated in emotion, so she didn't bother to try. She flung herself into him. Her arms clinging tight around his torso. If she had been thinking on a more shallow level, she might have been afraid she was about to squeeze the life out of him. However, she was no longer even within her own state of mind. She was bordering on having a out of body experience with the tremendous weight of these feelings.

Of course, this is what she had been wanting for a long time. For so very long... and she had been so content and willing to go on living with out it. To be by his side was the most she would really hope for. Rubbing her face into his chest, she let out a long exhale, and she started to calm down a little bit. "I'm... so .... happy."

Sure, he hadn't said the ultimate to her, but she knew beyond a shadow of a doubt. He wanted her, needed her, and was claiming her as his own. This by itself for the time being. Her mind and hearth could not have fathomed the depths to which this overtook her.

"...Karis, Karis... please forgive me... I am a coward..." he murmured into her ear. He held her as close to him as he could, and was rectified by the fact that she clung to him. So close, and yet, Yuki felt it wasn't enough. He hugged her and then moved her to his back, and began to take them to a far more comfortable and private place. "I'm sorry... I will tell it to you someday... when I'm no longer a coward," Yuki continued, using his tail to play with her as he walked, carefully.

Chiyuki only knew of one way to love Karis. Hopefully, seeing as she was the first female he truly loved in the most romantic way, he could show her everything she had unlocked in his very being. Karis probably wouldn't be able to stand, let alone fly, when he was done with her. Eager for that idea, Chiyuki picked up his pace, searching for one of his many havens he kept around when he had wandered until he ran into Karis.

Fate had brought her to him--No, the great Pachyu did, but Yuki didn't want to admit that. Okay, so he was still working on his god complex. He was plenty self-confident, after all. And he now had a beautiful mate to show off to the world. He didn't care if they made an odd looking couple, it simply mattered that they loved each other. That was all.

"Hold on tight, Karis... my dearest."

Finally, the tears were abating. The initial wash over of flooding emotion was starting to find it's way out, and behind it, the clouds of unrequited love was being chased away. The break of light that is the warm and healing power of love as it coursed through her body, mind, and soul. There was then not a flicker of hesitation or reluctance when he put her on his back. She wouldn't fall off, but she wouldn't tell him he didn't need to hold her there with his tail. She wouldn't refuse his touch. She couldn't. She needed him and everything about him like she needed air to breath and live... to exist. For even existing without him would after this not even a worthwhile endeavor.

And... even if he did have his complexes. She had a hero complex over him anyways. A lone winter night it was almost like this that he first happened on her playing in the snow .... alone. That evening as a new snow began to fall and blow around in a similar fashion, she rode his back as he led her somewhere. She didn't know where, but she wasn't being too concerned with where that was. Did they look odd? Who ever heard of the bunny who laid with the snow leopard? Perhaps that was what made locks and keys so special. Sometimes, the key that opened a lock didn't matter whether one was a conceited carnivore or a naive nature lover. The great spirit of Pachyu found a way to fasten their souls together, bonded forever.

and there was only one last quiet whisper that she knew his wondrous feline ears would hear. It was a phrase she so frequently always said to him and would likely always tell him. "Yes, I will Yuki."
