Just thinking a bit. Since our guild name is Demon, should we maybe try to do a role play with demons in it? I know the original had them in it, but maybe we could do one that revolves around just demons or demons fighting other species or demons fending off their home from other species.

Might be something fun to try. I really like the dragon rp idea too, but maybe we should do something along the lines of our guild name too. =)

I know on my computer some where I've got an RP relates to demons mostly DMC inspired along with some shadowrun inspiration

Okay, three ideas I have for a Demons rp:

1. Demon Invasion - Gates to hell have opened up in a modern Earth setting and the demons are invading. This is a classic demons vs humans rp where either you have regular humans fighting to close the gates of hell, or you have humans tainted by demons who are killing all the ones who come through. You can have some demons helping the humans and others against them and vice versa.

2. Dimensional Conflict - Much like our old storyline this will be more of a 2 or 3 dimensions where things will take place. I was thinking a demons realm, an angels or enlightened creatures realm, and if we wanted a humans realm. There could be peace, there could be war, there could be whatever we wanted just like the old role play. For starters there can be a peace between the different realms, but some trouble is stirred up and a war breaks out.

3. In Hiding - There was a time when demons were only seen in dreams. It was unheard of for them to live in our world. But a few such demons learned how to escape into our world and now live amongst the human race disguised as our own. They make their own way, learning what it is like to live as humans. However, the lord of the underworld is unhappy with a few wayward demons escaping into the world and has sent sentinel guards to our world to track down these demons. However they have a hard time distinguishing human from demon and some innocent souls have been claimed by the other side. It is a secret war that many humans are oblivious to, and those who suspect are ignored by the masses. Will the stray demons be caught, or will they continue to elude the forces of the devil himself?

I kinda do too, and it can expand from there as the demon characters become more troublesome for the lord of the underworld to capture.

Essentially Demons have no mortal body, so they have to take over the body of another to live in our world.

I see it as working two ways: Either the demon has complete control and can leave the body for short periods of time if it needs to, or the demon is bound to the body completely, but allows the original owner of the body to function on a semi-normal basis.

I like that idea. With the types I had stated (and the one you did) I would think that the demon would have at least a bit of its power that it could tap into, making it "different" from other humans. And as it stayed on Earth and adapted to the atmosphere/climate/setting/etc the more of its power it would be able to access until it would no longer need a human body to live in.

It can be, yes. The first option i listed would be a fight between the demon and the human body's inability to perform the powers or functions of the normal demon body. The second option would be a struggle between the human spirit and the demon spirit possessing the same body.

Right. That would make sense. =)
