I've never done this before - this is the only year I've really thought about it at the beginning of January! Who's in?
Basically, for those who don't know, you commit to reading 50 books in a year. That's less than one a week and you can read short ones and long ones and ones in between. I'm not sure if the idea extends to audiobooks or to non-fiction, but I'm having some non-fiction in my list, to there we go.

I just finished a novella called "Zombies at the Door". It was fun and short read. I am working on "Interview with a Vampire" and the "Son of Neptune". I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas so it is easy to get a lot of books.
I do a lot of reading during the year...but it is mostly material from textbooks and scholarly journals. xp

Hmm... I normally read a lot, but I also have to read some really thick books for essay contests and such... Maybe I shall do it next year. That is if I can find 50 books I want to read of course...

I'm up...I read all the time. Probably the hardest part will be remembering to actually keep track of what I've read. xd

You can do that here, Sweet! wink Make your own personal 50 Book Challenge thread if you like, to write about which ones you read or just cross the off the list or something.
I finished The Big Sleep today, that puts me at 2/50. 48 to go! rofl

I went ahead and made a thread in the Fiction subforum, for anyone who wants a place to keep track of what they've read. Everyone can grab one post and then just keep editing it as needed.

Thorns and Spices Man, I am REALLY not keeping up with this. sweatdrop Burroughs slowed me right down. Yeah, I read a ton in January (nothing super taxing to be sure), but Feb came around and I literally didn't feel to much like reading anything.
