User ImageWelcome to the Breeding subforum! Here, you breed your pets. Before doing anything, you gotta read these rules and FAQ's first! User ImageWhen can you grab a breeding slot? After you read these rules, of course! These rules are to be followed by regulars and newcomers alike. There are no exceptions for these rules, they are here for a reason.

User Image Listen to what the colorist of your breeding has to say! It may be a question or concern about your custom that's needed to be heard to save both the colorist's time and yours.
Pestering a colorist about a pending breeding is unacceptable. While some colorists are more tolerant than others, it is still very stressful when people are constantly harassing them. On top of Gaia tasks, they have real-life situations that always come before the internet. So please, be patient.
Do not bug colorists about opening slots! They will open them on their own time, not yours.
Most slots are first-come, first-serve. This usually works like a flatsale, where a "GO!" post will be made and requests follow. On occasion, however, a colorist might make getting a slot into a game.
Haggling about breeding prices is unacceptable unless stated otherwise by a colorist or manager! Whatever the case may be, you must accept their decision.
You must send your breeding trade after you have been confirmed your slot. Keep in mind that not all of the colorists will accept them right away, however.
Do not ask a colorist to use a certain marking! Breedings are up to the colorists. If you get a breeding custom you may tell them to use what markings to use other wise the litter us up to them.
Post all forms within the colorists' den.
Keep in mind that every colorist has their own set of rules within their breeding den, so be sure to read them before ordering!
Please read everything on the front page! I do not just type all this because I feel like it, it's there for a reason. Each colorist has their own way of doing things, so do not assume you know what you're doing when ordering from me. Read first!
Breeding slots are not RP-required. While roleplaying does come with perks, normal breedings with no benefits do not require you to provide proof of roleplay
Both parents must have been adults for at least a month. This includes dogs that were newly obtained. They must be at least a month old to breed.
Please do not harass me to finish your breeding order!
Please fill out everything on the form that applies to your dog!
Cross breeding between species will result in puppies that are either the mother's breed, or the father's. For instance, if you breed a Husky with a Doberman, some puppies will be huskies, and some will be dobermans.

Cosplay Dogs
25k for a cosplay breeding

User Image 1-6 puppies for show dogs
1-4 puppies for working, agility, and pet dogs
1-3 puppies for strays and outcasts
Litter size is determined by the mother

User Image Breedings are not RP Required!
If you roleplay, you can receive an addition pup on top of the litter roll You must have 3 RPs between yourself and your breeding partner in order to be able to claim the extra pup. One RP must be from the mother, one RP must be from the father, and one RP must be between the couple. (You can have all three roleplays be between the couple, but they must be three SEPARATE roleplays.)
Cross breeding between species will result in puppies that are either the mother's breed, or the father's breed - there are no mutt lines. For instance, if you breed a Husky with a Doberman, some puppies will be huskies, and some will be dobermans. In some cases, you may have a litter that is all one breed.
The mother's last litter must be adults for at least a month before she breeds again. If there is an issue with the growth progress of your last litter, please contact a manager.
Litter size is determined by the female. So if the female is a stray, she will have only 1-3 puppies. If she is a show dog, she will have 1-6 puppies. She's carrying the puppies, so their health is determined by her quality of life.
Again, both parents must be adults for at least a month before breeding! This applies to newly obtained dogs as well.

User ImageWe've decided to do something special for those who go above an beyond the regular RP requirements. If you give us a little extra work, and show us that you really care about your breeding pair, you could be eligible for custom pups in your litter.

.............User Image
................c u s t o m - i nxxR U L E S

User Image You must have 6 completed roleplays! You must double the requirements for a normal breeding, meaning you will need 2 RPs between the breeding pair, 2 RPs from the mom, and 2 RPs from the dad.
Both parents must have been adults for at least four months. We want seasoned couples who have put a lot of thought and care into their plots and relationships. Too often are pets bred as soon as they are able to, and we want to see couples who are will to wait.
A couple can only receive up to two custom puppies. These pups will be added on to the already rolled number, so if you roll four pups and custom two, your couple will have six puppies.
Custom pups will not cost extra. You've already paid enough through your dedication to your couple and the shop.
Custom pups are subject to the same rules as regular customs! Meaning cosplays are not available! Even if you breed a cosplay, you may not custom a cosplay into that breeding!
You may only have edits on your custom pup if the parents have edits! If the parents are minimally edited, you may not have a majorly edited pup. Please keep the edits reasonable and in the same level as the parents.
Post a completed custom form with your breeding form! In order to receive custom pups, you will need to post completed a custom form(s) with your breeding form. Custom forms can be found in the customs section of the guild.

User ImageIs there a limit as to how many times I can get a breeding per month?
While individual females have a limit on how many times they may breed, there is no shop-wide rule limiting owners from breeding multiple dogs a month. However, be sure to read all the information on the slots you're entering, because some colorists might choose to limit their slots to those who have not gotten breedings for the month.

Is there a limit on how many times I can breed a dog?
At the moment there is not, but there are limits on when you can breed your dogs. Please read the rules thoroughly to be sure your dog is able to breed.

Can I pay with items?
Sometimes, but this depends on the colorist. If you are not sure whether the colorist will accept items, ask them. When in doubt, ask or liquidate. The item must ALWAYS be worth the cost of the breeding or higher; if higher, you will not be refunded the difference.

Do you accept real life money as payments for breedings?
No! Woof! does not take RL commissions for the sake of being fair to our lineartist and our other customers. Not everyone has the means to obtain breedings easily through RL commissions and we don't want to risk being unfair by opening too many of those slots rather than regular gold slots. So please do not ask.

How long does it take for a colorist to finish my breeding?
Depending on the time they have on the computer, some breedings will be done within hours while other might take weeks. If you feel that's it has been way too long since you first ordered your custom, politely ask them either in their thread or through PM. If you are not comfortable talking to them, you may PM DarkHeartedSorrows or Yin-bug.

Can I use official Woof! lineart to make references or suggestions for my breeding?
No. While we encourage you to make references for your custom-ins (we will NEVER accept suggestions for normal, non-benefit breedings), our lineart is only for official pets. We suggest you search on deviant art for stock (free for use) lineart, or ask if anyone knows of good stock lineart.

Oh no! I forgot to add something to my form! Can I edit it?
You may edit your form, but you MUST notify the colorist about it and make sure they have acknowledged the changes. Do not just edit your post, mark things in red, and think everything is fine and dandy. Some colorists may not look back to the breeding form, so make sure they know.

Are we allowed to role play our dog while they are expecting?
Of course, but remember you may not roleplay the pups if they have not been born yet. Also, if you're roleplaying the birth, please avoid going into extreme detail! Not everyone is comfortable reading those details.

If I am breeding a cosplay, can I custom-in a cosplay?
No, you may not. Cosplays are only available through regular customs during special events, never through breedings.

My breeding has a few edits! Can my custom-in pup be majorly edited?
Your custom pup may only be majorly edited if the parent/s are majorly edited. If the parent/s are only minorly edited, please do not ask for a lot of edits on your pup.

Can I breed two of my own dogs?
Yes you may. However, you must still complete the same requirements in order to receive any benefits for your breeding.

Can I keep more than one puppy from my breeding!
While it is highly frowned upon, we are refraining from making this a rule just yet. However, if we see abuse of this we will place a rule limiting the number of puppies you can keep from a breeding!
