History: Lord Colton Faulkner became the head of his house long before he was ready when both parents were killed in a strange and horrific disaster while attending a gala at another house of nobility, leaving Colton with the estate, along with the lesser houses that swore fealty to them. Colton's elder brother Theodore was killed during a crusade in the dirdelk systems and so the seat fell to Colton. Colton was only 17 when he took over. With the help of his father's advisors, Colton quickly learned to manage the Faulkner household. In the last five years, Colton has slowly begun to rule his house without the help of his mentors.
Habits: Tends to pace impatiently when waiting or bored.

House Faulkner and its close allies can trace their roots back to the years of the old empire, during the last few decades in its fast and bloody decline as the dominant power in the galaxy. During the Terror Wars, when the capitol was sacked and the rest of the Empire* was locked in civil war, Legatus Torquil Faulkner lead his battered legion and fleet into the Ganar Cloud, which at the time was uncolonized space and considered dangerous frontier territory. The trip was brutal, as the Ganar Cloud is full of navigational hazards such as dense asteroid storms, and a supergiant that had recently gone nova. Torquil and his tired army landed at an uncolonized planet that they named "Bastion" and it was to be their last stand against whatever enemies came, be it invading barbarian aliens or an opposing imperial faction. (It would later be renamed Torquil's Bastion) However, very few enemies followed them into the Ganar cloud and gave up Legatus Faulkner and his troops for dead. As the wars ended and the galaxy fell into a dark age, refugees from the wars came to the Ganar Cloud and the legion accepted them. Faulkner's legion and the refugees spread to the other star systems in the Ganar cloud and Faulkner's officers went on to establish the other noble houses. In the centuries following that period, all the other Houses have seen the Faulkner House as their savior and have rallied to them when times of war or strife arose.

*For those of you who are wondering, the old Empire is NOT the GRE. Though I may have recycled a few ideas, this is not the same universe. Dirdelks do exist in this timeline and galaxy, however. : 3

Well, assuming a patriarchal form of inheritance. If its merit or aged based I suppose Isadora would be next in line.

First of all, the galaxy that Lord Faulkner is from isn't the Milky Way. (In other words, he's never heard of the GRE or Earth.) However, it does contain portals to the Battledome Universe. So technically he and others from his part of space could send fleets in to fight the Dragonhearts or any other faction if necessary.
