Welcome to the January 16th, 2012's week of the Speak n' Spell project.
This week's theme will be: Ribbon.
Please have a spell that includes the "ingredient" or "tool" or "use of" a ribbon.
It doesn't need to be a particular color, style, or kind of ribbon.
It doesn't need to be the main focus of the spell either. It simply needs to part of the spell.
There is no literary constraints (beyond the normal internet off limits) on this one either.
Please remember that this is the original spell that must contain this item, not the updated items (ie changing a spell to have a ribbon within it would be a no-no).
Feel free to talk, to discuss, and to get excited about it!
I will post sometime this week a form for how you should source/present your original spell on Monday (or earlier should you so desire) - as well as a form for the following four adaptions.

1. Visualize what you need.
2. Verbalize this aloud, in clear, precise, unambiguous language.
3. Make nine knots in a green silk ribbon. As you form each knot , repeat your invocation.
4. Keep the cord in a safe place: a conjure bag, inside a magic money box filled with wealth -drawing charms or buried in Earth.

Readaption 1:
Take a ribbon.
With the first knot think of an amount of money that you want - say 30 dollars and focus on that knot when it's completed to have that "amount" attracted to it.
With the second knot take the first amount and double it, then add it to the first amount, and focus on that knot when it's complete to have that amount attracted to it.
With the third knot, take the second knot and triple it, then add it to the second amount, and focus on that knot when it is complete to have that amount attracted to it.
And so on until you have nine knots.
You may just want to think of something like "handful" of money instead of a particular amount so that when you get into the higher amounts of money you don't even up doing a lot of math in your head.

Readaption 2: Take nine ribbons [or strings], and assign each ribbon a value - "money from this place over here", "bring me weath" etc so that each ribbon will have a complimentary action. If you want to you can just assign them all the same thing. It doesn't require you to be any more creative that that. Using a weaving pattern Like this one here. weave the ribbons together. While weaving, feel/construct that each ribbon is blending together to make one solid talisman to attract money to you. [Essentially assign the ribbons to help each other achieve each individual goal.] Knot the ends and wear.

Adaptation 1: To reconnect with someone lost and dear
Materials:
Paper
Pen/Pencil
*Image of lost friend/family member or a drawing of the person you wish to connect with
Red Ribbon
**Optional, drop of your blood
On the paper write your wish of who you want to reconnect with.
If you have a picture you wish to use place the paper and the picture together, if not draw an image on the paper under your wish.
Fold the paper and the image up and wrap the ribbon around the string.
**If using a drop of your blood p***k your finger now and drip the blood over the folded paper as you wrap the wish in the ribbon
as you wrap the ribbon state:
"By roads distant
By past shared
Two hearts once divided
Now become united"
Repeat the phrase over and over until the folded image and wish are completely covered by the ribbon.
Keep the bundle near you as often as possible

Adaption 2:
To smite those who spurned you
Materials:
Black Ribbon
Paper
Pen
Lighter
Ashtray
On the paper write your wish for actions against those who have changed their attitude towards you
Fold the paper up imagining something happening to them that you would laugh at
Take the black ribbon and wrap the folded paper with the ribbon
As you wrap the ribbon around the paper state:
"From friend to foe
the pain goes to those who know
what happens when you go
from friend to foe"
As you wrap and continue your chant place all your anger and frustration towards those whose minds have changed about you
Once the bundle has sufficient wrapping and your emotion has been released into the bundle grab the match or lighter state:
"As fire charges from my veins
So shall fire deliver the pain"
Light the bundle on fire and place it in the ashtray to burn
You may repeat the second chant as long as the wish for revenge burns.
When burnt throw the ashes into the wind outside and let the fire and air get to work

Imma gonna start a thread in the magic forum of this guild (which I primarily entrust to you as you are adamant that you are not a Pagan but a witch and that forum is for the magic and non religious aspects of witchcraft are to be discussed) about working with ribbon now smile

Readaption 3.
Tie nine knots using a ribbon, while "capturing" the energy in each of the knots.
For the next nine months, on the first day of every month, release the energy that is stored in those knot by undoing one of the knots.
As you untie the knots, apply to that energy the goal/assignment you will be attracting wealth, money, and funds into your life throughout the month.

Readaption 4.
Take a ribbon and a piece of your hair (or pieces of your hair). Tie a knot with both as you visualize that ribbon connecting wealth/money to you.
Burn the ribbon/hair knot over an open flame.
