Since the remaking of the sky, Rio hadn't been able to get enough of being in the sun. His host had been vampire, and he had been reborn in the Age of Destruction; it was only now that he could finally see the sky as it was meant to be...more or less. But he could not claim more than abstract grief for Universe, a deity he had not met and retained no earlier memories of, and so he did not pretend to. There was a sadness, but a distant one, impersonal, the knowledge that a god was gone and gone forever - and the unsettling awareness that it could still happen to any or all of them.
Would the Council protect them? He had contemplated offering assistance, but what could he do? He conjured candy and trinkets of affection. Perhaps, if the Grigori were susceptible to his other power...but it would likely be impossible to know without trying, and the trying itself...
No, for now he intended to put his powers to less hazardous uses. Then again, he was considering shooting a Council member, and who knew what sort of trouble that might get him into? Regardless, he still hadn't made up his mind - he needed to talk to the other potential target first. Love strolled the Pantheon grounds, trying to look like he wasn't looking for a dragon.
Which he was, of course.

A dragon wasn't such an hard thing to find, all things considered. Xun Jiang loved the outdoors too much to remain confined in his rooms too long, as natural as they were.
Through, right now, the dragon was sunbathing - laying on a rock with legs and tail waterbound, and wings laying flat against the ground. He looked just as content as a cat might, actually.

Well, that was a great deal easier than he'd anticipated, although not entirely surprising, he supposed. Ti Lung was a water dragon, after all, and that was most certainly Ti Lung. The resemblance to Illisia was unmistakable.
Rio ambled over to the edge of the water and sat. "Looks comfortable."

It was only when Rio spoke that Xun Jiang noticed that he was no longer alone, and one eyelid opened lazily, followed by the other once he noticed exactly who was his current company.
"Very comfortable." He confirmed, but did move to sit nonetheless - certainly better to talk that way ! "Good morning, Rio." He said, with a pleasant smile. "How are you ?"

"Good morning! I'm doing quite well, thank you, though you didn't need to move on my account." Love smiled brightly, stretching his wings behind him. "How are you? Rebirth seems to suit you."

"This is just a comfortable." The dragon said, shaking his head a bit - sending waves of mane-like hair sliding about. Really, he saw no need to be fussy - he had water, warm sun, and company.
"I think rebirth fits every one of us quite nicely." Really, after so long of being nothing, to finally be real... physical... again was a lovely thing. "I am quite fine. How about you ?" He saw no need to ask about Adi, given how recently he'd seen her.

"Better than languishing in a gem, truly." Yes, rebirth suited them all...or did it? Not all the gods were eager to embrace their new life, new circumstances, new fates. Some retreated, or disappeared entirely. Kishara, Khiviance...he often wondered after them, even tried to look for them, but to no avail. "I am well. Enjoying our new sky, but then, I doubt anyone isn't."

"Truly..." Xun Jiang grew distant at those words, contemplating something, but then shook it off - quite literally.
Now wasn't the time to think about that. He could not be so melancholic - what had happened was past, and he could do nothing about it.
Through a part of him hoped against hope itself that his missing siblings had not suffered his fate.
"That is the case - I've caught many wandering outside so far, deity or otherwise." Most of them hadn't even noticed him. "More than before."

"There do seem to be a fair number out and about, and yet...there are some I've heard nothing of in quite some time," he confided with a sigh. "I often wonder where they've gone, and why. What is there here to be so avoided?" It was sad, really.

Ah... Love's question brought back old worries to the forefront - how many time has he asked himself that same question ?
How many time had his brothers asked the same question, wondering about him ?
"I hope they are well..." He nodded, sympathetic. "Perhaps it is duty that keep them away ?"

"Do you think so? It would make sense, I suppose, but it still seems strange that they would stay away for so long and not so much as visit." It was a rather hurtful thought, actually. "My apologies. I dwell too much on things that can't be helped."
"Have you made many new acquaintances, then? Or remade them, as it were."

...That was kind of an upsetting through, now that Rio mentioned it. "I apologize. I hadn't meant to imply anything."
Hopefully, they weren't... truly gone.
"Oh ? Ah, not that many yet." He admitted. "I've had to try and short out some things first... And my brothers take most of my time."

"Ah, no need to apologize." Rio waved it off and smiled. "It's a passing mood, no more."
"I would imagine they would - there are several of you about, are there not? You're the first I've properly met, at least as himself."

"There are nine of us." Well, in theory. Where some had gone to, however...
Damnit, dragon. Stop thinking about that. You can't do anything about it. And that was that.
"Some are more scarce than others. I personally like meeting others." Even if he had his moments when he sought nothing but the sound of a stream running softly downhill...

"The rest of you do seem to keep to yourselves," Rio noted. "Aside from you, I've only met hosts of dragons." But he had heard of others, so they were around here somewhere! Perhaps they preferred each other for company.
"I enjoy meeting other as well, though that's probably no surprise." He was Love, after all!
