User ImageForest had spent a good deal of time around the Pantheon as of late - musing, plotting, reflecting. He took his position of Councillor very seriously but as of yet felt he lacked the tools to fully embrace the rank... and chief among those was knowledge. He'd been reborn in a time of great change and much had happened during those hellish weeks that he was certain he had not known.

Still, perhaps there were ways of learning things he did not know - tidbits of the Grigori especially. If they knew their opponent's strengths and weaknesses, surely something could be done. But did anyone even know?

Unsure, he'd considered approaching those nearest the Twin Crown for assistance and now stood before the throne, mouth quirked into a partial frown as he scratched one furry ear. "Anyone there!?" He called, looking around.

Click to show.Typically both Yu Five Claws and Creation would be sprawled out in such a space, but they were off on other business - perhaps in one of the tea-houses, enjoying spice and incense with McVie or by one of the fountains, surrounded by mortals and immortals alike. That Endiovar was there at all was totally luck: he had forgotten a book in the throne room and just happened to be retrieving it at that moment, so when Glyph called out, the pale-skinned gold of Silence was there to respond.

"Ah, hello Glyph. You were seeking something?" Endiovar smiled at his friend, knowing that the last time Forest had seen him, vestiges of Colin remained. Now they did not. 'Harmodius is not here currently, but perhaps I can be of assistance?'

User ImageHe turned when called upon and found himself faced with a pale-skinned god. A smile lit up his face when he recognized the changed deity and stepped forward to greet his friend. "Silence! I had worried about you... your note was all I had as proof of your existence until the Celebration for the Sky." Relief rolled strongly through his tones as he made to embrace the other, "Are you well? You must be, you've ascended properly it seems. Congratulations." The twist of a smile held a hint of envy.

It faded quickly when he registered the question, however, and he nodded, "Indeed. I hope you can help me... I'm looking for information. The Council can't very well expect to succeed if all our shots are into the dark. I wanted to do some research into the Grigori, gather what information I could. Books, scrolls, whatever we have that pertains to our Old Places - our old items and lore and methods - and to the Grigori themselves." His expression turned sour as he cocked an ear and tapped his head, "It's quite frustrating to remember so little... but digging through the Library and the Pantheon will take far too long on my own. I was hoping for some direction."

"I apologize, my friend. Things became quite...busy and I'm afraid I lost track of time." Endiovar kept a hand on Glyph's arm, the contact comforting and quite pleasant. "Yes, thank you. I'm quite happy to be back in full."

The conversation quickly turned to more serious matters and the pale God of Silence listened intently to what Forest had to say. Books, scrolls and other information from the Great Library? Glyph was quite lucky to have found him! 'I would be more than happy to aid you in your search, my friend. It happens that Revei and I have been working within the Library to clean, sort and preserve as many of the tomes as possible. A gargantuan task, but one that now has added benefit.' Off the top of Endiovar's head, he couldn't recall specific texts, save for one very important tome - and that one was not part of the Library, but rather a private book belonging to Creation. 'I am certain there are books within the Library that will have some of the information you seek, but a more definitive book exists outside of the Library.'

Here he paused and smoothed at his hair, thinking that he would need to speak with Harmodius about the knowledge within that book - the one that Gianfar had been studying for the Old Tongue. It was not a book that he - or anyone in their right mind - would dare go after without permission. "Harmodius holds a very particular Tome, filled with information from Before. Gianfar and the Dragon King Tian Yue were using it to learn of the Old Tongue...I was also privy to some of these things, via Gianfar. I can acquire for you anything within the Great Library, with no troubles, but that singular book...well, that will require His permission. I'm sure you understand."

User Image"Things grow busy for many of us, I think." He chuckled, not at all offended by the lack of communication between them.

"Ah! Then this is good timing. Has the library been very damaged?" His concern was only partially for the safety of the books - Forest had little need of a written record. He nodded at the mention of Harmodius' tome, "Indeed, Tian Yue mentioned it to me briefly and I intend to request Harmodius' permission. I'm afraid that I don't know - or remember, as the case may be - the Old Tongue. Worldshield referred to it as the First Tongue, I'm assuming that is the same?" He'd rather not have to learn several ancient languages of power at the same time if he could help it. "Any help you could offer, my friend, would be wonderful."

He laughed softly, shaking his head as a thought struck him - he could not remember the time he'd picked up a scroll or a tome to read. Everything he'd done had been without such records, hands-on, getting dirty approaches to his daily life. Study would be an entirely new way of going about things. "I've not actually visited the Library before, to be honest." He offered after a moment, looking mildly embarrassed.

Have you seen the market that they have been expanding upon outside the Pantheon Proper? It's quite enterprising an endeavour - worth going to see, if nothing else.'

Glyph's questions about the Library were easily answered after all of the effort that he and others had been putting into the reconstruction of Gianfar's beloved lair. "Unfortunately, the Weeks were not kind to the Library, but we have made some strides to preserve what can be saved...there may yet be information there to aid you." The Old Tongue was indeed the same as the First Tongue; interchangeable within the ranks of the Gods, though mortals could have confused many "old" languages now lost as "the old tongue". Endiovar said as much to the Forest god, smiling gently the whole while.

'Truly, I am unsure how welcome an idea Harmodius would find loaning out that book. Much of what is in there could be quite dangerous, but if it would help I am sure that He would allow something.' Tian Yue had seen the book, as had Gianfar, Xia Lu Ling and Endiovar...of those four, only two had perhaps actually been able to read the knowledge held within, as far as Silence knew. "Don't feel badly, the library does not seem a place one aligned with nature would enjoy visiting overly much, nor is it impressive at this moment. Construction materials, paints and inks...it's quite messy."

User Image"The Market? No... When I am out, I tend to walk in the Gardens and woods beyond those. Perhaps I should walk among the mortals, hn?" He spoke thoughtfully, honestly considering the visit. There were people he knew among them that he should speak to, catch up with.

"That is good... perhaps your efforts will make it easier to find what I'm looking for. I honestly have no idea where to start." His smile was sheepish as he spoke, "I do not wish to pry into matters further then I need to... but if there is information we need, it needs to be accessed somehow. We need to stop the Grigori."

He perked at the mention of materials and smiled broadly, "If you need assistance with materials, please let me know! Inks and papers I'm sure I can assist with."

Click to show.Naturally, Forest would wish to be somewhere without crowds - after having put the question to his companion, Endiovar felt a little awkward at his own carelessness. Thankfully, the sensation was short-lived, as Glyph was kind and did not take the idea badly; it even seemed to be an idea that held some interest and merit to the God of Forest. As much as Endiovar would have enjoyed sequestering himself in solitude and quite, he made himself walk among the mortals; sometimes as himself and other times in less potentially intimidating "normal mortal human" form. He spoke with any and all that seemed remotely interested; forging new ties, renewing old ones and generally trying to increase the number of those that truly believed in the Gods.

'I can only hope that it will. Perhaps Moon's host would be willing to research things for you so that you could continue investigating elsewhere? She is most helpful and spends nearly all of her time within the Library walls.' Indeed, Tilion's elfin hostess seemed to be at ease only when surrounded by the scent of paper, ink and leather...as though the tomes, scrolls and various maps were talismans of protection for her. 'And as I said, I would be happy to see Harmodius with you...perhaps, if he will not allow it removed he will allow you to look into it.'

This was spoken with a little twist that intimated Endiovar's offer held no promises, only the offer to aid Glyph's wont to check the tome belonging to the Twin Crown. Companions and...well, whatever else they were to each other, Silence held no power of command where Creation was concerned.

"Yes." Silence sighed softly, eyes looking off as his expression took on a faraway manner; the Grigori were quite troubling, to say the least. No weapons or spells currently within the "arsenal" of the Gods would be effective - it was hard to not feel trepidation when considering the damage already wrought by Samyaza...and the damage to come.

Glyph brought his mind back to focus with his grinning offer of help with the Library, 'That would be most helpful. Akakios and Ihdren have been doing a great deal with what we currently have, but more supplies are always welcome.'

User Image"That may be helpful, the more eyes we have looking, the better the odds of finding something. Would you speak to Moon for me?"

Forest nodded at the repeated offer, "Let us hope he does then, or at the very least that he'll tell me of what is in it." He laughed at the mention of Akakios and Ihdren, giving a nod, "I will ask Adi to collect materials then. Just speak to her if you've need of anything. She really is a fantastic person." There was pride in his voice as he spoke, and love.

"Is there a time we should arrange for the audience?"
