So I received a message from someone on Neopets who was supposedly replying to a message that I sent that said "If I were you I'd change my PW.. don't ask me how I know, but I'm just trying to give you a hand. " Buuuut I never sent that person a message because I don't even know them...I thought maybe I was hacked but nothing is missing from my account. confused

Hmm, that is a little weird Mich...maybe just change the password just in case?

Flying a little blind on this as I don't know Neopets' interface but there should be somewhere that your associated email is listed. I'd check there first to make sure it's the one you assigned, then check that email to be certain you still have access to it before you do any password changing. A password change in and of itself is not a bad idea for both Neopets and the email, depending how long its been for either. My first instinct though is that it's probably someone hoping you'll reply: to what? And then of course take their suggestion. +Chuckle.+

I'm with V (moreso on the idea that someone is trying to trick you over the security)...though also I've felt better since I installed a PIN and made it necessary for everything. Took awhile to get used to putting it in, especially for SDB but amusingly enough I haven't received any password request emails (so far) since I did so.
