The northern barrens are the largest of the nations, those who live here are family oriented, and hospitable. The royal family of this land, and their history, is one laced in tragedy. As a young girl the queen of the land watched her parents murder within the capitals walls. She grew up without a mother or a father to teach her. For this reason the royalty of this land are very mysterious and secretive. The queen tends to only leave the castle when she sees the need. The northerners worship their queen as their own, and have a deep love and loyalty for her. Though the queen is young she is expected never to marry, her heart was hardened by the murder of her parents. Old magic seems to flow through and around the country, and it's people. For this reason many countries choose to align with the Northern Barrens. The northerners control the magic of the weather, making them a formidable opponent. During war the Northerners have never lost a battle, due not only to their magic but also the frigid temperatures drive enemies back. The queen is thought to have the old blood running through her veins, and is often found worshiping during the full moon.
