Yup yup yup I agree completely. But I guess everyone has there own opinion. I like their covers pretty good. Prolly only cuz their own lyrics suck.

Contagious Cure

When artists cover old songs or take melodies/music notes from old songs, the main three reasons are:
1. As a commemorative piece
2. Sheer laziness
3. Ability to cash in on known success stories that most people have forgotten or never heard of

Then they state it over and over and over until we're sick of hearing it.
"My parents don't understand" "It sucks being a kid" etc...

Sorry, I just really don't like them, but whatever floats your boat. =P
