Hello, my name is Samantha, I'm 22 years old and I am new to this guild.

Today I'm reaching out to other Christians in hopes that I can find some who have gone through / going through the same issues as I am facing now.

I am currently in the beginning stages of a divorce and custody battle. I've been married 4 1/2 years to a man I thought I would spend the rest of my life with. Unfortunately he chose a different road and he left me the day before Thanksgiving 2011. He moved back to his hometown which is 200 miles away and he quickly met another woman and has been with her since.

Not only did he leave me, but he left our daughter too. She is 4 years old and doesn't understand much of anything. When he first left, it was super hard for her, but after a while she perked back up and has been blossoming more than ever since. He would call every night before her bed time until earlier this month when his relationship with this other woman came to the light. It's been his choice not to call our daughter so much anymore, but since he has made the calls less, she's been doing much better emotionally.

I filed for the divorce and the custody papers here in the county that I live in and yesterday I mailed those papers to the County Sheriff in his area. We have a court date set for March 6th for the custody hearing.

I know full well that God is working this all out for His glory. God has given me such a strength that is even greater than anything he has ever given me. I have a strong Church family and I am a leader in a ministry called Celebrate Recovery. I feel it pressed on my heart to reach out to other divorced / divorcing Christian people who have kids or not and who are willing to help me through time as try to live one step at a time.

please feel free to PM me or reply here if you would like more information. I don't mind opening up to anyone about my life.

Hi Samatha!
Welcome to The Well Guild first of all.
Secondly, Thank you so much for having the courage to share this with all of us here. We as Christians need to uplift and support one another in prayer when one of us is going thru such difficult times as you mentioned.
One of our co~captains and a very good friend The Hudson Hawk, had mentioned at the beginning of this year to have a C/R program of sorts started in this guild or it's sister guild the G.P.S. Christian guild.
To be honest, after I read your post, I phoned him on his cell phone number and spoke with him in concerns to you and your post and qualifications in handling things in a Celebrate Recovery program style much like the program he mentioned in the 2012 prayer for the guild at the beginning of this year.
May the Lord truely bless you and keep a hedge of protection around you and your daughter always.
Your Christian sister,
~Lyn~

Hello! Welcome to "The Well Guild" my friend.
I have read your post here and have thoroughly enjoyed it as well as your pro page. You're a very modest and reasonable person with great moral values and standerds. Keep these and your faith strong in the Lord and may He bless you always in all of your endeavors while walking with Him.
May you blessed always!
Your brother in Christ,
Aaron D.III
