Trainers that start out with grass types like Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Treecko, Turtwig, Leafeon, and Snivy live in The Grass Castle. The Grass Castle is located rocky and grassy mountain range that is located to the West of the Academy. Their rivals, at any school event, are the Fire trainers.

Trainers that start out with electric types like Pikachu, Jolteon, Mareep, Plusle & Minun (if you choose Plusle, you also get Minun. If you choose Minun, you also get Plusle.), Shinx, and Joltik live in The Thunder Castle. The Thunder Castle is located on a 100 acre plot of grassy land that is South-West to the Academy. Their rivals, at any school event, are the Grass trainers.

Trainers that start out with normal types like Eevee, Sentret, Zigzagoon, Buneary, and Deerling live in The Royal Castle. The Royal Castle is located on a high hill that is South-East to the Academy. They don't really have any rivals.
