Prologue
Set in a different timeline, an object falls from the sky. On it, a list of people, from 10 million, to number 1. These people, are ranked. The object, now known as The Tower, fell in the middle of the ocean, where it was investigated, and found a list of names. Several other smaller towers were scattered across the world, their rankings reaching from North America to Oceania.
One month after the Tower landed, it was discovered people were gaining what they called, "talents." These included pyrokinesis, regeneration, and other powers. Then, after a year, people started naming themselves "skilled," they used their talents to create an attack, not simple like a fireball, but complex and specialized that represents a person. It seemed that the Tower responded to this, and started ranking us on the power of our "skills."
This led to the Tower creating a space in the small towers, which surprised people when it knew all of our languages. Inside, it judged us, looked into our very souls. It apparently told you if your talent was powerful or not. I didn't go in one of them, my talent was almost useless. And so people used their skills and talents to the fullest.
But this also lead to chaos. Greed, jealousy, and mostly, war. People continuously used their skills for their own good, rather than for others. They thought that, since everyone has talents, it just means they're just showing off and it's not hurting anyone. But, they were wrong. At least 80% of the people did not have talents, never mind skills.
Eventually, The Tower had finished ranking. Everyone watched the what is now called "Booths" to see their ranking, even I did. And from the top, it listed.

My eyes widened at the list. One was from a well known company that held influence in all of England. Another was a famous boxer who held 18 titles world-wide before the Tower. What also sparked my curiosity was, their talents. Sleight? Regeneration? I was surprised there was nothing like water, or electricity. Only one made sense for me, and that was Fiamma, the one with the Pyrokinesis. There were some names that didn't ring, like Fuuta Henko. The names seemed very peculiar. So did many others. But what I did find strange on the list, was number one. Me. Reaction was definitely my talent, but my level wasn't even put into the scale. But even then, why am I on the top of the list? The Tower had pictures as well. And so, I couldn't escape from reality.
