Alright this is a discussion for the act of performing any of the new adaptions that you created.
This is not a mandatory thread, merely available for any discussion on the act of performing any spells that you remade.

So I have been thinking about the spells I wrote during the ribbon exercise and found it to be quite refreshing. The sense of familiarity was enhanced when I performed the reconnecting spell that I wrote.
The spell was almost identical to a spell I did to keep my fiance' close to me when I was in a shaky place mentally and emotionally and I wasn't sure if our relationship was going to survive the group home experience.
As I wrapped and folded the repetition got me into the frame of mind that I was performing magic and my will was flowing into the universe through the actions of my spell. This particular spell is one I intend to do for a few people. However there is one person in particular that spurned the desire for this spell.
I am adopted. For the last several years I have been wanting to connect with my biological family. I felt that part of my life and my family has been missing and that it was time to fill in that void. As time has passed this desire has only gotten stronger.
I filled out an application with the state so that if any one in my biological family does look for me I will find out. That was three years ago. At this point I am now starting to think about going else where in addition to the state to search.
When this spell came up I laid in bed and the idea for using this spell to reconnect hit me. I hadn't written it down and forgot until I posted it. Now I have done the spell and I feel a sense of hope again.
I designed the spell this way as I felt it dealt with binding in some ways. My biological mother is bound to me through my blood and my body. My blood is of her and thus we are bound. I thought that it might work. We'll see what happens.
