The long trek to Kuroda Mansion left him surly and enervated. The training grounds already festered with eager participants, their auras and battle cries pervading the area. Curious as he was, he longed for a moments worth of meditation before mingling with his competitors. He roamed the estate, opting to follow the paved walkway until he came upon the recreational poolside. Perfect. Approaching the smaller of the three, he cuffed his pants and submerged his tired feet. Touya sat along the edge in content focus, the lukewarm water chilling as he eased his energy into the basin.

Having left the mayhem of the training ground, and after making a quick detour to nab her blue bikini, she arrived at the pools. Seeing Touya already there, she waved and headed to the large, deep pool. With her bikini on, it was revealed that the scaly parts of her body were not only her legs and tail, but they speckled their way up her back like a thick patch of freckles, spreading across her shoulders as well.
Kara grinned, looked around, then jumped into the water. After that, the only way to describe wath she did was 'frolic'. She would make underwater loops, swim down to touch the bottom, make up strokes as she went along, made twirls to flash the light from her tail and wings against the floor of the pool in an underwater light show, and in all resembled a human world river otter more than a dragon.
Her fire, lit up energy that it was, was not effected by the water, though the energy being emitted shrank.
She simply LOVED swimming

The familiar skittering of talons snapped the ice demon from his trance. He glanced up just in time to see Kara wave and bound for the largest pool. So much for meditation. Touya abandoned his spot by the now partially frozen body of water, opting to settle closer to his teammate. Curious, he peered over the edge, marveling the dragon's grace and fluidity from beneath its modulated surface.

 •°o.O O.o°• Ӄȋɣѻϛђȋ •°o.O O.o°• As he arrived in the pool area, he allowed a rattling breath to escape his mouth. It depressed him, he had never seen people take so much joy in hurting each other like this. He supposed, to enter a tournament you're supposed to enjoy fighting, or have very, very powerful beliefs. But, he only had the wish to help people the only way he knew how, through healing, not battle. He blinked, looking up when he realized that he wasn't the only one in the pool area. He forced the depressing thoughts away, settling on his more neutral and calm emotion as he slipped the sack with the few changes of hakamas and markers he has onto the floor away from the pool. He wasn't planning on swimming after all, just stick his feet in. He debated for a second on whether or not to leave the whiteboard and marker with the bag as well, but figured it would be rude if someone initiated a conversation and he couldn't respond. So, that decided he took the whiteboard and marker, walking to the edge with a polite smile before he set his feet in. He looked under the surface, spying a fellow dragon swimming beneath the surface. His tattoos revealed his surprise when he noticed that the graceful demon beneath the water was in fact a fire dragon, an element that normally clashed horribly with his own.

Kara swam around for a bit more, then dove down, touched the bottom, kicked off again, and surfaced facing Touya with a big grin on her face. "Hello"
She could tread water easily, and just swam in place for a bit, observing. There was another dragon about, and he looked... interesting. She'd wait for him to come to her though. She couldnt tell what kind he was, so it was best to leave it be until she was sure. Not that that would change how she acted towards him. she was friendly with everyone

Somewhat settled in his new cozy little room, and having been annoyed at finding none of his teammates there to greet him (maybe no one noticed or cared to notice his absense), ShiShi quickly got changed into his swimming trunks and decided to head off towards the pool in need of some peaceful relaxation.
Upon reaching the pool room, violet eyes scanned the surrounding area, finding three nice sized pools, along with three other occupants. Touya, an unrecognizable face and... Kara jumping into the pool, splashing around? Throwing a black Egyptian Cotton towel over his broad, pale shoulders ShiShi made his way closer to the pool Kara was splashing around, his grip tight against the edges of his towel. "Well, Well, Well... What have we here, mm?" ShiShi called out in his soft voice, walking over to the edge of the pool and peering back, glancing at his reflection in the clear blue water.

a small smirk danced across the imps delicate features as he crouched down his hands gripping to the edge of the pool. "I suppose I can be saying the same to you Miss Kara. It has been a while since we last spoke... hasn't it?" ShiShi replied tilting his head to the side casually, keeping a pleasnat smile on his face as he chuckled softly to himself. "If I had known you'd been coming here I would have requested for you to be on my team. It's a shame that we might have the chance of facing each other in battle... Though I wouldn't mind seeing your techniques. Such a shame really." The imp murmured 'tsk'ing a bit as he shook his head. "But you should know why I'm here Kara. Fame, fortune... Can't get enough of it." ShiShi replied tilting his head up a proud look on his face, as a confident aura seemed to radiate off him in waves.
It had been quite a few years since ShiShi had last seen Kara. It was his never ending quest, and need for fame (a need he had yet to kick after all these years), that was actually the key cause to their crumbling companionship. Though ShiShi had built himself quite the reputation, and his fan based has increased ten fold from that of the previous Dark Tournament. "it really has been too long Kara..." ShiShi murmured softly, tilting his head down to lock eyes with Kara and as his eyes searched Kara's, a faint glimmer of passion flickered past his serious gaze.
But before he could say much else, his line of sight was shifted to the other two in the room. "Hello to you too Touya... And... Your name is?" ShiShi tilted his head to glance at the young dragon male, a slender brow rose in suspicion.

The serene moment with Kara disintegrated once a peculiar being perched nearby. Touya observed the demon, cold, steely eyes taking note of the dragon characteristics, markings, and... was that a whiteboard? His borderline frigid personality usually gave no leeway to idle chat. Especially with strangers. However, this one seemed rather... distraught. "... Long day?"
A familiar voice rang out from alongside him. The samurai extended his greetings to Kara and himself. "Shishi." he acknowledged the samurai's reflection. "Hello to you, as well."

Kara nodded, more mellow "It has been quite some time. I was beginning to think you had forgotten me, since you never contacted any of us in that time."
She paused then added "Jin convinced me to come and test my skill. I think it had something to do with how I never really show what I can do, and you know how curious he can get. If I had known you were joining I might have joined your team... but you never contacted us, so I never knew." She shrugged, and ended up bobbing a bit because of the motion. She wasn't going to let on how she felt after seeing her first friend again after he had, to all apparent purposes, left her with his friends and abandoned her. "I know.. That's.. all that has really mattered to you, isnt it?" It hurt saying it, but it was something she had to acknowledge when she was still painfully hurt by his leaving without a word. The pain when she had seen his happiness on the TV as he got higher in reputation, and not looking back to see who he had left behind to get there.
Despite it all, she still had feelings for him, and the passion, and flickering hope that he still cared was reflected in her own eyes, along with the still raw hurt of his leaving. He alwayse seemed to leave her in a bundle of emotions that she would struggle to untangle for years.
She looked again at the other dragon, her curiosity about him returning.
