Personality: First time you meet her she's shy and won't talk much,but eventually,if you gain her trust, she becomes open and sometimes even talks a little too much.On the other hand,if she wants to talk to someone,she will talk pretty much. She's a hard worker and has many dreams,such learning as much about Makai as there is to know. Her physical strength is close to non existing,but her keen mind often helps her out of difficult situations. She has an excellent logic and is a quite good tactician. She sometimes rushes when deciding (if it's a first time experience ) things and would fail.

Background : She lived on the eastern coast of Japan for the most of her life and worked as a shrine maiden until the age of 14. All the while she trained with her grandmother and father,so that she would be strong enough to protect the family shrine. At the age of 15 she ran away from home,taking with her,her father's sword and armor, and headed towards makai,in hope of being able to win the tournament, and if not, then at least to gain more knowledge about the demon world and become stronger.

Other : She's witty and smart,trying to find logical explanations to what surrounds her. Also,has interest in analizing things. At times she's a little neurotic,shifting from a disposition to another in only seconds and is hot headed,but overall ,being a nice and good person. Has knowledge in medicine/biology,exorcism and demon races.

Personality : Quiet, intelligent, adventurous, is very quiet around those he doesn't know, and doesn't immediately trust anyone.

Background : Karogane is the offspring of two high class demons. His father a weapons expert, and his mother a fire demon. At a young age he lived in Makai very happily with his parents until one night, a group of bandits slayed both his parents, left him on the verge of death, and destroyed his home. After surviving this attack, he ran away with his fathers favorite sword, and went off on his own. A few years later, he had heard of a demon getting a jagan implant so he could find out where the ice apparitions lived. Karogane found the demon doctor who gave that demon his implant, and had him give him the same. However he didn't just want one implant. He had both his eyes replaced with them. A very painful and excruciating surgery, but since he was able to survive death once, he pulled through again. For 6 months he was left blind and in that time his other senses grew to new levels. When he finally got his sight back and was able to use his new jagan eyes, he began to train with them until he felt he was strong enough to search for the demons who killed his parents. He has yet to find them, but after hearing that the Makai tournament was soon starting, he joined up with team Midnight Star in hopes of winning. For him, his dream is to win the tournament and make sure no other human or demon would have to go through what he went through. He would use all his power to help those in trouble.

Race: Half Fox Demon
Gender: Female
Personality: Headstrong, independent, and cold. She has been known to pick a fight with someone just for looking at her wrong.
Background: Until a few years prior, Miyuki had not been detected by anyone. She waited in the shadows, waiting for something to trigger her into coming out into the light. She had been a hired assassin and was good at what she did. However, within a single day, the half demon just up and left the job she was doing so well. Since that day, she wandered in a quest to discover something unknown.
Other: While she is only a half demon, she resents her human side. She constantly tries to train only her powers while letting the human emotions fall away. She is approximately a A-class demon.

Appearance: A young demon, with short blond hair and deep violet eyes. She stands at 5'1" and has a very slight build. She has been mistaken for a child occasionally. While she usually wears a long skirt and a top, she always has her shorts and midriff beneath it in the likely hood of there being some kind of battle.

Race: Fire dragon demon
Gender: Female
Personality: Cheerful, fun loving, but also quiet and a bit submissive. Rather sweet and gentle despite coming from a battle loving species. Can be emotionally sensitive
Background: Early years are unkown. Kara has not had many friends, due to her species being so infamously deadly, so she spent much of her life lonely and wandering for a place where she could be accepted. Due to a chance circumstance, she found a friend in Shishi, and through him, Jin and Touya. Despite her misgivings, Jin convinced her to test her skill in the next Makai tournament.
Other: Has a European dragon looking form that she uses occasionally. (Size chart) Her species, the Fire Dragon, is known for it's battle fury. Most demons are wary of meeting her kind in battle due to this trait. She uses fire to attack, and also carries a broadsword that she uses in close combat. She tends to keep her energy level to a C type demon for various reasons, though she is an upper B un-suppressed.

Appearance: 5'4" in height. Her wings and the tip of her tail glow with energy that resembles fire. These can actually burn like real fire, but she has enough control over it that any burns delivered would be purposeful (Like in a fight) or when her emotions are out of control.

Age: Looks around 24 but is really about 200 years old
Race: Raven Demon
Gender: Male
Personality: Takeichi for the most part is calm, but he also has a tendency to go into explosive bouts of anger. He is also very vengeful towards those who he believes have wronged him and will pursue them to the ends of any world, no matter what he has to do to get to the other realms. Despite this he has his moments of kindness and treats his comrades less harshly than most though if he believes someone has betrayed his trust then they will face his greatest rage.
Background: Takeichi was born into the secretive raven demon clan, a race known for their unparalleled speed and aerial combat techniques. Takeichi’s birth was signaled with an ominous sign as a large statue of the first leader of the raven demons cracked, this was interpreted as a sign he would grow up to either bring great change to the clan or become a harbinger of destruction. As he grew up Takeichi felt a longing for something more than his strict clan and one day, while exploring the Makai to test his speed and flight, he came across a powerful demon who had plans to one day gain the power to overthrow Raizen, Yomi, and Mukuro, and his goal became an inspiration to the relatively young raven demon who served as a second hand under him, becoming his favorite.

However his leader’s dream would be crushed when he was defeated by Raizen who he had attacked in the false belief that Raizen would be too weak to fight back due to his swearing off of eating humans for food only to be blown away by a single blow from Raizen. As Takeichi found his master’s body, he swore as tears of blood streamed from his eyes that he would have vengeance upon Raizen. He returned to his clan, growing stronger and found that when he focused his rage to a select target he was devastatingly powerful. While he trained he received news that Raizen had passed on and left his descendent, Yusuke Urameshi, in control of his territory. At first Takeichi was shocked that the object of his hate was dead but then took notice of Yusuke’s abilities and, while scoffing at the concept of the Makai Tournament initially, was convinced by an old friend, a mystic wrapped in bandages, to take part in the upcoming tournament. Now he sets out to prepare and to fight, soon all would learn to fear the Black Feathered King!
Other: Takeichi is a very talented swordsman and, after spending most of his life training, has reached the level of a S-Rank Demon. He also currently wishes to defeat Yusuke most of all and mount his head on a pike in honor of his fallen master.

Appearance – He stands at around 5’7” with a thin, pale skinned body. His hair is short and silver in color with one bang down the middle of his face. His eyes are usually an amber color but when his anger grows his pupils become blood red and when fully enraged his face is shadowed with his eyes becoming two red, gleaming spheres. He wears black pants and arm covers and silver armor with the symbol of his clan on the front, over this he wears a white sleeveless coat with lavender trim that ends in the back by dividing into five trails that curve upwards. He also carries a demonic katana at his hip with a pitch black sheath, and silver and purple wrappings around the hilt.

Personality Quiet, Ambitious, Self Reliant, distrusting
Background Never a fighter, Rayna had just started to hone her abilities after the first Makai Tournament. She thought that a mostly peaceful demon world was ideal and fully believed in Yusuke Urameshi's cause to stop an inevitable war. Although she doesn't feel strong enough to win, hopefully she can take out a few demons who plan on doing evil things with the winning title.

Gender: Female
Personality- Arai doesn’t really talk much to people, nor does she care to be around them. If she can avoid it she will stay away from you. She is also very short tempered but learning to control it better. She has a sense of honor and will not attack someone from behind…unless she’s on the job. It takes a lot for her to trust you and even then she keeps an eye out.
Background- Arai is from a family of assassin’s having been trained sense she was little to kill. She is the only living member of her family. Her whole family having been killed years ago from reasons she will not speak off. She lived her life as a assassin for hire to make a living and survive. Making a few allies along the way. Usually she stays at a demon inn in Makai owned and run by her friend Ashley, a cat demon and her brother Shijun and unusual cat that would disappear often and enjoys speaking in riddles. She sees the makai tournament as a way to improve her skills and if she wins? That just makes it all the better.
Other – Arai is a fire attributed demon and can use fire in many ways such as making it form a dragon or using it as a distraction. She also has a sword that belonged to her father and an ocarina that use to be her mothers. Which she will play when she’s bored but nothing more. What makes Arai’s fire different than most is only in the fact of its color, which is silver. Not even Arai knows why it’s like that.

Personality: Independent, strong, quick thinking, but has a short temper and hot headed

Background: Natashi is part of a long line of ninja family called the Takashi. Even though her family is labled as a half-bred they're really not, they are what they fondly call themselves "Powerful like demons but are not, look like humans but are not". She specializes tessen, war fan fighting style, and power over plants. Natashi was pushed through the specialized ninja training and understanding of humans and demons.

Race- Human with a strong connection to the afterlife

Gender- Male

Personality- Calm and soft spoken, a bit jittery when nervous. He is friendly and enjoys observing people.

Background- Jay has grown up in a normal family living a normal life till he was around 13. At that point he discovered that there was more around him then he thought. He started getting odd feeling of the supernatural world around him. As he grew older he discovered an interesting fact about himself. With the presence of demons and non-humans around him his eye color would change. Though useless talent to most people that was just what he needed to help him. With the help of his instincts he made his way to the tournament ground and with the help of his bribery skills and money he made his way into the ground of the participants. He always has a pocket knife and a pack of cigarettes on him though he has a bad habit of forgetting his light and can get himself into trouble as he doesn't really know how to filter himself. He is a reader and likes to watch the fighters observing them and understanding the way of their lives. His ability to fight is still weak but he had come there to try to channel his spiritual powers.

Appearance - When in the demon world his eyes are a bright green. His hair is a golden brown. He is a bit on the short side standing at 5'6. His body is average, not too thin, no bulging muscles but he does have some much like a person who on average goes to the gym once or twice a week.

Personality: Aoki is usually quiet and reserved, preferring to stay away from people who are more powerful than her. Not many people are, but she doesn't realize that, and tends to underestimate how strong she is. She can become rather violent when angered. She likes to move around a lot and loves nature, especially small animals. Once you get to know her, she is a nice girl with a dark sense of humor and a slight sadistic streak.
Background: She ran away from her abusive parents at the young age of 5 years old. She lived in secret, wandering the makain forests and living relatively peacefully. Once, while wandering the forests in search of food, she came across a band of bandits torturing low leveled demons. Upon seeing it, she killed the bandits without a second thought, just as they had killed their captives. She decided to travel the makai in search of someone who could train her to use her powers to help others... Or so she says.

Personality: Usually kept to himself, Hiromoto is relatively serious, but when his true anger emerges, he is quite a vicious and ruthless contender. However, inner motives must present for Hiromoto to participate, otherwise he will simply deem the objective as pointless, and attempt to eliminate it entirely, which goes for individuals as well...even his own teammates if they fail to uphold to their goal.
