Hikaru: Well this was inspired by my little angel. ^.^ I love you Mak!!
Rin: ^ ^;; hes lost it!
Mak's Surprise
It had been an entire year since the final battle with Duke. Itd almost killed Mak to part with Hikaru. Literally, as hed clung to the older boy the entire way home. His parents were too keen on him dating an older person, more so an older boy. The fact that they were both elementalist was just too much, as his mother had fainted after that last bit.
So there he sat, a senior in high school. Mak really had grown up, his once child like face now more mature. It was the last day of school for him, seniors always got out two weeks before the rest, its just the way it was.
The light elementalist sat, he leaned back in his chair, his spiky white hair just a bit longer, his pony tail never really grew back after Hikaru cut it off all those years ago, and Mak hadnt the heart to let it either.
Hed gotten taller, almost six foot too. He was happy about that, seeing as Hikaru was six foot something. A sigh escaped the light boys lips as he starred rather bored at his teacher. Hed not seen Hikaru, Rin or any of his element friends in an entire year. Sure Hikaru had called, sent emails, even sent things in the mail. It just wasnt the same.
He often wondered if they had forgotten about him all together. Shaking his head he sighed. He couldnt think like that, they cared he knew they did, they had lives too though. Nodding to himself back adjusted himself in his seat only to have the bell ring.
Frowning at the stupidity of school it self, Mak rose from his desk, passing by several giggling girl who sighed dreamily. Each seemed to stare at Mak as if he were heaven sent. True enough the once slightly insane preteen had evened out.
He was rather well built for a lean boy, his emerald eyes shinning just the same. His skin a lush tan color from soccer, the only thing he was rather good at besides drawing. With a rather bored look upon his face, he opened his locker stepping back as several notes fell out.
Hed had a fan club ever since hed gotten back from his journey. Picking up the dozen notes he threw them away not bothering to look as most hed found at one time were requests of his attention.
With a slight mutter he shut his locker, grabbing nothing but his bag and note book. It was all he needed as his next class was his last. Slipping into the class he blinked seeing everyone pass around year books.
Mak frowned, hed forgotten to get one this year. Shrugging it off he sat in his desk, quietly waiting for the torture named class to begin. The teacher began as soon as the bell rang. Shed declared it year book day, and hoped they enjoyed the rest of their lives.
Rubbing the back of his neck nervously he tried hard to sneak away only to be bombarded with requests.
Ack! Errrmmsure
He said rather nervously, smiling as he took out a pen and signed his name rather neatly by a picture of him kicking a soccer ball at one of the schools games.
Several dozen signings later, he sat in a corner, drawing slowly, his eyes blank as he gazed at his paper.
The clear out line of Hikarus and Rins faces could be seen. Mak was rather good, even though he hated to admit it. Several girls came over, just watching. He didnt notice until hed finished with Hikaru.
Oh, hes cute! Do you know him? Or did you just draw that?
Mak looked up, blinking as she had been one of the few girls who hadnt drooled over him for the past three years. He gave a rare smile, and looked down at Hikaru and Rin, both smiling.
I know him.
He didnt have the heart to tell her, what he didnt know was true. He felt distant from his friends now. He hurt, theyd abandoned him, and it hurt.
No, he wouldnt think like that. Then why did he want to cry? Why did he want to hate Hikaru for lying to him?
Lip shaking he ripped out the drawing and handed it to the girl. She blinked looking quite shocked.
Hereyou take it.
His voice wavered and she nodded, taking the hint to leave. He sighed, starring out the window for what seemed forever until the final bell rang. Packing up his things, he sighed. Hed been doing a lot of that.
Making his way outside, he looked back at his school. A small smile at the good memories he had. Turning about he blinked, the crowd at the school seemed to part as down where the busses were stood a grinning Hikaru.
Mak blinked, not really believing his eyes. He seemed to stop breathing, as Hikaru rose an eyebrow, the grin fading into a soft smile. Rin appearing out of a black S.U.V., a small smile upon her face.
He let a breath go, it was them, it wasnt an illusion, he wasnt seeing things.
It was then he bolted, faster then hed run before, a blur of light and Hikaru seemed to magically slam into the ground, Mak appearing hugging him tightly. Hikaru blinked a moment, and smiled wearily, slightly out of breath from the tackle.
Mak clung to Hikaru for what seemed for ever, Rin scarring away the growing crowd as the Hikaru waited for Mak to calm down.
I..I thought He muttered, unable to stop the tears from falling. Hikaru frowned a bit before whipping them from Maks face.
You thought what? I didnt love you any more?
Mak only nodded, rubbing his eyes before opening them to see Hikaru grin. He blinked as the older boy just wrapped his arms around his waist and pulled him closer, he could feel his face heat up.
Sorry Mak, Youre gunna have to try harder if you wanna get rid of me. Mak didnt have to look up to see the grin on Hikarus face. Hed wipe it away though, with a grin of his own, he placed his arms around Hikarus neck, and pulled him down.
Rin could only help but smile, as Hikarus eyes widened in shock from a rather hot kiss. She giggled, at the site, bursting into laughter as Mak squeaked when Hikaru took control.
Shaking her head, she was some what relieved they werent going to loose control in public as they pulled away both stood. Hikaru grinning, Mak blushing like there was no tomorrow. Looking back at Rin, Mak smiled and turned towards her, his own grin returning.
Wait! Mak dont!
She yelped before the younger boy tackled her as well, hugging her tightly. Hikaru laughing now as the Ice elementalist sighed, but returned the hug with her usual small smile.
Mak looked back at Hikarus smiling face, his heart seeming to beat faster. He was happy, they hadnt forgotten him, they hadnt abandoned him. They did care.
