She made it. She finally made it to the ocean. Winded, starved and axhausted Kai let her legs shake and finally drop. The tide rushed up to brush the tips of her paws and cooled her hot pads. She hadn't slept in days, couldn't remember the last time she'd eaten, and yet she didn't care, she was finally out of the mountain. As Kai caught her breath and reveled in the salty smell of the sea breeze she let her mind drift for a moment. Then her ears flattened and she raised her head. Even here she wasn't free from the questions. Even though she'd ran for nearly ten moons straight she hadn't gone far enough to make the feeling go away. With a soft sigh Kai simply watched the water rush up to meet her paws. The feeling of abandonment and being unwanted never lifted from her heart no matter how hard she taxed her body, her spirit remained restless.

Kai woke with a snout full of sea water. Sneezing the salty liquid from her nose she glanced around groggily. It was terribly unlike her to fall asleep in such a way. Out in the open of a new area. Kai stood stiffly and shook her head to clear the fog from her nap. She wasn't certain when she had fallen asleep so she couldn't tell exactly how long she had been out. Kai's stomach protested loudly to the abuse of the past several days of emptiness. It had been so long since Kai had stopped long enough for her stomach muscles to relax enough to allow such a sound that when she heard it she jumped and spun around crouching into a defensive posture thinking the growl had come from an attacker. When the sound repeated itself she looked between her for legs at her too thin underbelly. Kai sighed and with a resigned groan pushed herself to walk further into the water in hopes of catching some shallow shore fish. When she gazed at her reflection she barely recognized herself. Her frame was far too thin, her whipcord muscles even more pronounced with the lack of food. Her fur was less then clean and matted in several places. With a sneer at herself Kai flopped and proceeded to roll in the shallow water to wash the sweat, dirt, and other debris from her fur. In another unusual moment of recklessness Kai began to kick and splash at the water, making a game of catching the salty droplets that flew from her tail. Kai pounced on the softly rolling waves as if they were game, giggling to herself as she made it rain upwards from the sea to the sky. For a split moment she was a pup again, then something other then salt and sea filled her nose and she froze. Crouching slightly prepared to make her already too weakened and strained muscles work for a quick escape should the unfamiliar scent turn out to be an unfriendly predator.

Seasalt. . .the pleasant smell was the smell of ocean that wasn't that far from their campsite. He was intrigued now, then he was before about this group's job. He began to walk in the direction where the smell was coming from to confirm it and then turned to the group as Pandora was saying something. "let's go this way." He declared as he interrupted Pandora and pointed in the direction he wanted to go. Before any signs of approval or agreement, he trotted off in the direction the seasalt smell was coming from. "Mmmmm. . . ." she smiled feeling the sea breeze through her fur. "What a sight huh?" she asked out loud to the others enjoying the scenery.

Arsenio had shown up long before the group had since he took the lead. His nose could smell the saltwater as it splashed against a few along the coastline. The sound of the waves crashing into one another and the sun reflecting of the water made him feel like he was home.
When the rest of the group approached him standing, he wasn't bothered at all. He was transfixed as the ocean breeze blew through his hair, this moment was the most relaxed he ever was since he joined the pack. When hearing Pandora's question, he gave a slight nod of his head. "Yea-sure. . ." he said being to stubborn to agree with Pandora.
He looked over at a couple of rock formations that reached out into the sea. After scanning the mass, he realized that passed those rocks was a cove. He began to make his way over to a narrow entrance that led into the cove.

Puck was a clever pup and determined to follow Pandora's group. Once Shadow and everyone was busy feasting on bucks. Puck quickly took the oppurtunity to sneak off into the forest in his fox form. The groups scent was still strong which lead him toward the coast. Once Puck finally reach the coast the group was in clear sight before him. He carefully remained hidden watching the group explore and scout the coast spread out but together. Arsenio was up ahead of the group who was near a rock formation and pass a cove. Pandora wasn't far behind Arsenio but was enjoying the scenery and sea breeze it seemed. Kora and Ephriam follow the two holding hands which made him giggle but made him want to gag too. Puck followed through the edge of the forest that was left and knew he'd lose them if he didn't leave the forest edge. Puck had his raven Mab follow the group but told her to stay hidden from them.

Nizhoni followed being the last one on the beach. As the sea breeze hit them her nose turned up. She didnt really like the smell of salt and that is exactly what a beach smelled like... salt. Although she couldnt really complain about the sight it was pretty she guessed, but still preferred the forest and its trees over it.
Her ears pricked when she that she heard a rustle and turned back towards the forest. She scanned the edge of the trees looking for anything, but came up with nothing. She shrugged it off, Probably just a bird or something, she thought and turned back to the group and focused on what they were doing.

When Arsenio was pleasantly enjoying the scenery and the sea breeze she took notice of the lingering couple Kora and Ephriam. Nizhoni followed them being last but caught up with her while the other two played around with eachother. She knew Kora and Ephriam needed time to get to know eachother and thought about allowing the two to take off on their own as long as they returned to camp by midnight. Before Pandora had a word with Ephriam or Kora she noticed Nizhoni scanning the edge of trees for something before noticing a black bird in the air. "hmm. . ." she thought to herself.
"Nizhoni, what's the matter? Caught sight of something?" she asked before staring at the black bird surveying the air above them. "A raven by the sea? Quite odd?" he asked puzzled looking to Nizhoni.

Kora followed the others, completely taking in the environment around her. Much of it was becoming familiar in her memory, she had been through here before with the Gaia Pack and although it had been years, it was beginning to come back to her. The smell of the sea, the trees. Slowly, the memories were appearing. Hopefully, more would come to her soon. She looked over at Ephiram wondering what he was thinking. What was he mulling over in his head. Kora attempted an awkward smile, not sure if she was supposed to be feeling anything toward him yet. Hopefully they would get a chance to step away and explore by themselves for a bit. She needed to talk to him about his darker behaviour.

After scanning the edge of the forest Nizhoni turned to see Pandora looking at her and asking questions. She glanced back at the forest then back at Pandora "Its probably nothing," she answered "thought I just heard something is all." And thats exactly what she thought, and even if it was something it wasnt coming after them so it was safe to assume it wasnt dangerous.
Then Pandora pointed out that a black bird was by the ocean which made Nizhoni look up at the sky to see it disappear within the trees "Hmmm I guess that is kinda odd." she shrugged, Just a bird, and she just turned and kept walking. It wasnt all that interesting to her, it was a little odd, but thats all and nothing more to her.

Unlike the others seemingly astounded infatuation with being here, Ephriam's face remained. in fact he seemed rather bored with it all. He understood that this needed to be done, but that was the duty of the scouts. However he assumed that his father wanted to quickly navigate the terrain and find a place for them soon, so that needless dangers could be avoided. he again glanced at Kora, being sure she wasn't watching as he did so, he next turned to the others and fidgeted in unease, obviously not wanting to stop here. He would rather finish this and be done with it, it seemed. He glanced to the horizon, where the water met sky. grumbling something inaudible.

The coast was a nice change in their travels with the Druid pack. Arsenio continued to move forward leading the way which made her frustrated because she was appointed the exploration. Yet, it was her job as well to keep a special eye on Ephriam and Kora. Ephriam looked especially annoyed at having to take part in the exploration and although Pandora respected the kid greatly. She personally thought to herslf "what a brat".
"Ephriam. . .Kora, let's go." she called out to them annoyed really wanting to catch up with Arsenio so she was able to lead again. It was after yelling at Ephriam and Kora to catch up was when Nizhoni spoke answering "Its probably nothing, thought I just heard something is all. . ." And than Pandora followed her concern and back upon the black bird soaring in the sky. "Hmmm. . .it is absolutely odd. Birds are used as spys. Which means we might have natives upon this land scouting us out or somone following us." she said to Nizhoni. "It's best to bring this to Arsenio's attention." she said. "Move it you two." she called a second time to Kora and Ephriam. "We may have a follower. . ." she whispered to them.
((Hopefully Dj join us to rp this out but if not. Maybe Kora or Ephriam can find Puck following them.))

Kora heard Ephiram grumble and couldn't help but smile and let out a small laugh towards him. "Are you really going to force yourself to hate this? It won't take long, besides, we're finally doing something other then searching relentlessly. If we're going to be staying, we ought to enjoy ourselves." She shook her head and looked over mischievously before kicking a bit of water at him and darting off swiftly once Pandora called for them.
Still laughing quietly, her emotional high faded as she turned towards the black bird that was watching them. Recognition hit her but she kept it to herself, quietly accepting that if she was right, and he was able to evade them, she would have to have a stern word with Puck when she got back to camp. No Native to the land would be foolish enough to have their presence known by sending a 'land' bird to the beach. But a child still not new to the area? That was a different story altogether. "Your right." She felt herself saying. "But why don't we check it out now before they realize we know? Surprise them in case it is more then one." Kora prayed to Gaia then and there that she was wrong, that it was not Puck, it was intact a foolish stranger.

Pandora stood with Nizhoni while watching Arsenio walking further away from them and waiting for Kora and Ephriam to catch up with her. Pandora stood there impatient with her hands on her hips while informing Kora and Ephriam wandering far behind her. She caught Kora's expression toward the black bird almost trying to hide that she reconized the bird flying.
"Kora, you reconize the bird?" she asked firmly and very direct. A thought of possibility came to mind due to Kora's expression. She looked from Kora to Ephriam who finally joined them. "Ephriam, go find out who's following us." she gave order. "Go ahead Kora. Back him up." she said drawing a blade from her boot.

At Kora's belittlement of his sour attitude he smirked, then got splashed by water. He stood there at first, not knowing exactly what to do in the situation. Was it demeaning to him to have her taunt him as such? Should he be angered and demand retribution? He finally came to the conclusion, however, that if he was to paired with her he would have to deal with his antics and faults, as she with him, simmering enough to only emit a low growl, barely audible. He sighed gently before hearing pandora's snappish voice, telling him to find the one that followed them. The gods seemed to bestow luck upon him as he finally would get back to the thrill of the hunt. He smiled a toothy grin and shot off stealthily without a word into the forest, smelling for scents. Being the evidence of follow, he stalked first the bird. Slipping close, he sniffed the air, a familiar scent wafting through the air as his face contorted, as if saying, "Oh no he didn't!"
Now that he had the scent he could trace it back to its owner, slipping silently till he was almost upon the being. By this time he had circled around his prey, intending to get his back and surprise their stalker. He moved as the familiar scent confirmed his suspicions. He shot forward bringing his hand around the young lad's waist before he had time to complain lifting him at his own waist, so the boys arms and legs could dangle uselessly, unable to hit the ground. "And so this is our little stalker. Tell me Puck, why are you here? You should be back at camp like you were told to," Ephriam saidin slight disapproval and annoyance, but underneath he had expected no less from the boy. "What would we tell the alpha if a pup went missing?"
