I was browsing around the Registered Guilds section in the forums, and came across a Christian guild. I was bored, so I went in and started reading a few things. I noticed that there was a 'Prayer Requests' subforum, and after reading through it a bit, I thought it would be a good idea to have something similar for the guild.
It doesn't have to be a subforum. It can stay a thread. And since prayer is a big thing for me (I basically just talk to myself.) I thought it would be nice for us to post the things we're worried about, or are thankful for, and have others pray to their respectful deities for it.

Good idea I think. I'm not that much into prayer really though. I don't really ask for specific things unless I'm doing a spell. I just ask for the gods/goddesses to come to me or to help. If and what they decide to intervene is their decision. Oooh, i could get really into what people think of gods and goddesses as beings and such right now...but this isn't what this Thread is about, and I know people get annoyed when the threads change the topics...especially in the second post. hehe! So let me begin with a really broad one:
"I am thankful for everything that I don't appreciate everyday. Things like computers (the savior and link to the outside world), good food and clean water, transport, education, knowledge, freedom of opinion and speech, music (again...a saviour) and most of all People who care: friends, family and online communities like this (I know you are all getting teary at this now...)."
That was the first one...and I think that covers most of what people would be thankful for that they don't think about everyday. So now we can get down to the really specific ones...come on people... P.S. Kudos to Childhood Dreams

Anyways, I really like that little thankful bit, it does cover a lot of things that we tend to forget to be thankful for everyday.

When I pray I don't really ask for things either. Prayer, for me, is more like an opputunity to closen my relationship with the Goddess.
If I was going to ask for something with prayer I would ask for peace of mind for my little sister, who's depressed and on top of that just got dumped by her boyfriend because he wants to start dating one of her friends.

I kinda pray, though not really to anything, I guess. I just... talk to myself. I don't know if anything really exists, so I just talk. =D
So... I'm worried about my grandmother. She's currently really sick. =( I don't know what's wrong with her yet, but I really hope she gets better. I don't feel that it's her... time yet.

That's what I do, talk to myself. xP Until I have a good understanding and can believe enough to pray to it, then I'll pick a deity. But in the meantime, talking to myself it is. ^^
Is this the same grandmother that you didn't really get along with, and who made you and your mum move?
I'll pray for her if you like, and your little sister too, Lilac. <3

To All: Well, I tend to more talk to the Goddess[edit], or, at most, ask for some sort of guidance. It doesn't come as a recited prayer, but whatever comes to mind.
To Amy: Hopefully, she'll get better. The best I can offer, is to send positive energy, and offer support and advice, should the cycle complete itself.

I have a prayer/ spell request.
My parents are getting divorced. It's something I and my brother have been expecting for years and it won't really change our lives since my mother hasn't lived with us for 5 years anyway. However, being in the process of a divorce seems to have given my parents an excuse to be childish beyond belief. I've tried talking to them about how retarded they're being, but they blame it on the other despite my saying that it's both of them.
I'd appreciate it if you all would pray for my sanity, and them realizing that they're still supposed to be the adults. Also, if anyone has a harmony spell that would be useful, I'd appreciaite that as well since it seems I've exhaused mundane means of accomplishing my end.
