The Year That IsUser Image

Welcome to the year 2007, as many people know this is the year Harold Saxon was voted to the position of Prime Minister of England. That is when things changed in the world. The next day the world met the creatures called the Toclafane. Not long after that the world that we once knew was gone. The Earth was under the control of the Master and the Toclafane. Nothing could save the Earth now.

The months past with nothing being done. The Doctor was fighting in his own way on the Valiant . Martha Jones was walking the Earth. The Master had people looking for her.

Now imagine, what would happen to the world if Martha Jones was brought back to the Valiant before her mission was carried out? What happened if Lucy did not kill the Master? Could the Master win this battle? The paradox that was created by the paradox machine has made it possible for anyone in the universe to return to the year that never was, including past and future Doctors, as well as many people.

Below him the citizens of Earth rush about like ants. 'Disgusting little insects.' The Master made a face at this thought. He could not understand why The Doctor coddled those undeserving apes. He really had not wanted to make The Doctor old, but need to make sure he would not ruin his plans. He was relieved that Lazarus' experiment worked and his was able to input into his laser screwdriver. Which in itself was a whole lot better than The Doctor's sonic. Seriously the other Time Lord had shoddy technology and TARDIS made up of spare parts. If there were other Time Lords still alive they would of mocked The Doctor. His precious humans of course never realized any of this. The Master shook his head to clear his thoughts, and to try to subdue the drumming in his head. It did nothing for the later. He clenched his eyes and made his hands into fists, trying to release tension. Now he at least manage to ignore the noise. It was still there, but only an annoying faint tattoo of sound. He walked past Sheila Jones scrubbing the floor and past the Doctor's tent. He was not in the mood to talk to him. He need to see the Toclafane to see if anyone had spotted Martha Jones. He had a rumor that she was gathering parts for a gun. One that could kill him for good. He was not sure if it would work, but he did not want to risk it.

He entered one of the many rooms on the Valiant. This one was was full of monitors all which showed various places and people. Martha Jones appeared on none of them. There were several Toclafane as well as humans that believed in his cause in the room. Well most of them did, there were a few that were just under hypnosis. The Master made his way into the room and rolled out an office chair. The leather chair squeaked slightly as he sat down. “Has anyone spotted that bloody Martha Jones yet?!” He asked feeling suddenly very annoyed. “No, sir it's like she's invisible.” Answered a woman with short blonde hair. The same woman that had been in charge of bring in the Joneses. Nancy something was her name if he remembered correctly. “That was not what I wanted to hear.” Nancy flinched waiting for Toclafane to be order to kill her. For when The Master was in a bad mood it was never a swat on the wrist you got. Something out of the corner of his eye cause The Master to pause. On many of the monitors a large crack began to appear. This crack was not apart of the machines themselves. Bodily shapes began to come of out them. Raising one eye brow he mused out loud. “Now this is interesting.”

『тнє ѕσυη∂ σƒ тнє ∂яυмѕ:: Sorry about the wait. It's not my best post, but meh. I hope introducing a way for the other characters to appear is ok. .』

Annabelle Blackmen || The Traveler
Location: Monitor Room

Annabelle Blackmen or rather the Traveler to those who actually new her came stumbling from the crack. "Blasted injens." She growled and fixed her cowboy hat. Holstering her pistol and shotgun, she looked up and saw the only person in the room. "Well I'll be..." Her voice trailed off at seeing the man in front of her, shock was plastered to her face. She hadn't expected to see one for ages, now here's one standing in front of her.

The Doctor and Fitz Kreiner
Location: The TARDIS Library/somewhere aboard the Valiant, presumably

"Well, that's odd."
"Odder than your usual level of odd, or just, you know--"
"Odd."

Two soft male voices echo out from within the crack, distorted by the time differential. The first one's got a fairly upper-crust accent, maybe the slightest hint of Scouse; the second is a bit lower, and pretty firmly Estuary. A little rough at the moment, either from sickness or cigarette smoke.

"...but I can tell you one thing, at least: this really shouldn't be here. Really emphatically should not."
"So is this the bit where we get back in the TARDIS and go off somewhere safer, or is this the bit where we poke it with a stick and pray?"
"Fitz, Fitz, Fitz--what sort of question is that?"

And then quite suddenly a red-tipped silver object is thrust through the breach, closely followed by a long, bony hand and a green velvet sleeve. The object--quite obviously a sonic screwdriver, though a horribly outdated model--goes queep a couple of times.

"Oh, well that is a bit odd. It looks to be a bit of 2007, if I'm not very much mistaken."
"What's 2007 doing in your library?"
"I don't know, but it's certainly playing merry havoc with the sensors. If anything grabs me, pull back, would you?"
"Hang on, what--?"

And then a face pokes through. A rather handsome face, if a bit Oscar Wilde. The eyes dart about the empty room, taking in the scenery. Steel walls, dangling wires. Very industrial. Glint of red light from above the door--

"Oh, hello there!" says the Doctor to the camera, waving cheerily with the hand not full of screwdriver.

((I'm assumin' we wound up different places?))

The last few months on the TARDIS had been interesting. The pair had met some new and interesting friends of the Doctor's. Each one had given the pair different advice. The children of time traveled together in a TARDIS flying all over the universe. Now of course if such children of time were traveling together, then the pair must truly be remarkable with the TARDIS. Well...

"I really am not sure about this..." A blond teenage girl stood staring down at the control of the TARDIS. She had seen this ship flown a hundred times at the very least! She had never touched the console before. It was such a nice piece of technology, she was always afraid that she would break it. Not to mention Sexy always responded so well to Kyle and the Doctor, at least back when the Doctor had traveled with the pair. Now it was her turn to learn the drive the ship, or at least that was what Kyle was trying to tell her. "What does this button do again?" she asked seconds before pressing the small green button.

She took a deep breath before slowly putting in the calculations that Kyle had specified. Instead of dancing around the console, she felt like she was tip toeing around. Try to remember to turn that this amount, or push this button, or pull that lever. There was so much to this process. How was one every supposed to remember all of this?
"Kyle, I really do not think I did this correctly," she stated, expressing her worry.

"Is that light supposed to be on?" she asked once again, glancing up at the flashing light on the center console in front of her face. "Am I ready to start the TARDIS up? Well, I mean pull this lever? Or is there something else? I really don't think there is anything else..." the teen stated muttered more to herself then to her fellow child of time. She glanced back at him for a second before pulling the lever sending them into the time vortex.

Immediately into the Time Vortex, Zoie could tell she had done something wrong. The ride was not smooth. Sexy was shaking and rattling them up. Sparks flew and circuits blew.
"Kyle! I think I broke the TARDIS!" the teen girl yelled as she held onto the console for support during the TARDIS's rough ride.

The TARDIS landed what seemed like hours later. The landing was not smooth at all. The jarring motion send Zoie off her feet and flying toward Kyle.

Though you may be pure of heart

And though you have been chosen

And yet you must be worthy of

But seek and you shall find
Your destiny

Қуƪє Ϻαӿʈєʀ

'It had been going so well', the young Time Lord had thought to himself as he stood near where Zoie was currently trying to work on the controls of the TARDIS. While Sexy was abit jealous of having a young attractive girl working the controls, it was only through his natural connection to the TARDIS that he had to remind her that she didn't mind when Ma River flew her. 'Ma River...' He was busy being abit introspective while Zoie was stressing out at the confusion.

It was difficult enough for Kyle the past few months: first traveling with the Doctor and seeing all sorts of wondrous technology and interesting peoples, to the visit to London and meeting another Time Lord calling himself the Master and the cutie he had for a daughter, to watching this man who the Doctor had a history with sacrifice himself to keep the Time Lock secure on the Great War, and being entrusted with this girl in essence, then discovering thanks to the Master's last words that the Doctor was his father, and having to cope with that, then...

Then the events that brought him and Zoie where they currently stood happened, where one day the Doctor stepped out of the TARDIS and told them to stay put. And the moment he stepped out, the TARDIS threw the children of time into the Vortex, in a massive hurry, like she'd just lost her last precious person and needed to protect those in her care. Since then, thanks to some comforting words from fellow companions of the Doctor who spoke of spoilers including his in essence stepmother River Song, he and Zoie had been learning more of their heritage and picking up where his father had left off.

So now, Kyle felt it was needed that Zoie be able to pilot the TARDIS in the event that he was either incapacitated or regenerating. Other than her constant second guessing of herself she was doing quite well... but the moment they launched into the Vortex, he came out of his reverie and realized something was wrong.
"Whoa whoa whoa calm down!!" He leapt to action in true Doctor fashion, flipping leavers and tapping on buttons moving around the time motor. "What's wrong ol' girl eh??" He said as he continued to work, looking to Zoie as she yelled about breaking the TARDIS. "If you really broke her we'd probably be in the center of the Belgium Explosion!" He replied. The stabilizers were in flux, and he was doing his best to flush out the contamination to the thruster controls. "We only gotta worry if-" and there was three very heavy bell tolls echoing in the console room "-the Cloister Bells sound." He grabbed the mallet and whacked the underside of the console. "OK fine, do it the hard way!!" He yelled at the motor as it sped up.

Of course the end result of it was moot when the TARDIS suddenly crashed, and forced him to fall onto his back... and then give an OOF as he had a cute blonde practically falling into his arms, face a fraction of an inch from his as the console sparked.
"Ummmm... comfortable landing?" He asked feebly.

Keeping a hold of a box in both of her arms while using her hip to rearrange her messenger bag in a more comfortable position, Fina was hoping the scraps of some of these old desk computers would fix hers or at the very least make it a smidge faster. Granted a 2270 computer would not help so much with a 2268; but it was better than nothing. Maneuvering around in the basement to get to the elevator the lights started to flicker more than they normally do. The young Asian-American was not afraid of the dark; but it was bad enough the electricity may go out in the building and she did not want to be stuck down there.

Some things will never get updated and this elevator is certainly one of them. In the style of couriers over three centuries ago, Fina dropped the box in order to slide the metallic fence door to the left and the wooden bars upward. Using the side of her foot, she slid the box into the area before walking in herself. Sliding the metallic fence door back to the right and lowering the wooden bars, she reached over to the red buttons and pressed the one with the arrow up. There was a brief hesitation, but then the elevator started to move. It was noticeable, though, the electricity really was starting to go out when there were a few tousles of the lift itself before it continued on. When it reached its destination, however, Fina noticed something completely different.

"An engine room?" Fina had a habit of talking to herself--something folks do when they were raised as an only child...or one is a little off their rockers. Lifting up the wooden bars and sliding the fence door, she carefully stepped out and held onto the strap of her bag tightly--something she did since her life was in that bag. Looking at the engines more closely, not bothered by the sounds it made, she squinted before furrowing her eyebrows in utmost confusion. These engines were most certainly ancient; but at the same time, nothing she had ever seen. Unfortunately for Fina, room was too loud for her to hear the elevator going back down until it was too late. Looking back to the elevator as it went down; so did the sliding door. Rushing back to the door, but it was too late for her. By the time she got to the wall that once held the area, the door faded downward to just a small lining bar against the wall itself. "What the Hells is this place?" Looking back around the room, Fina was able to see a small light different from the rest and only hoped for it to be a way out of the room. Following the wall, she was, in fact, able to find a door. Turning the wheel, she pulled the heavy door open ajar to peek her head out carefully.

People. Good to know. Fina could not hear them over the engine room, but at least she is not alone. However, it seemed a couple of them were guards of some kind. Knitting her eyebrows in confusion, she pulled her head back into the engine room. May be wise just to wait it out. Maybe for an hour or so--but Fina knew this waiting will kill her mentally.

A few seconds past before the teen had regained the energy to move. After all have the wind knocked out of one did not make movement easy. A look of fear had been on her face as she had fallen, but now she smiled down at the Time Lord below her. "Yeah, I think we've had worse landings before," she stated before kissing his cheek. "Now, I really think that you should rethink this whole idea of trying to teach me to fly her. I really don't think she likes me very much," she added before she pushed herself up.

She brushed the dirt off before she reach out a hand to help him up. As she helped him to his feet she remembered her meeting with River Song flashed through her memory.

Doctor River Song had been one of the many friends of the Doctor they had met. But River was more than just a friend to the Doctor. She was the Doctor's wife; at least she was when the children of time had met her. She herself was a new type of Time Lord, a child of the TARDIS. River had taken Zoie aside, which was unnerving to the teen. At first River reminded the teen just who she was before she because a professor. All of the time River had spent tracking the Doctor, living as her mother's best friend, all of the time doing the illegal things, all of the time trying to kill the Doctor. But River also reminded her of how she had in the end saved the Doctor's life, giving him her regeneration. Up to there, was almost enough to get the message across to the teen. Don't let your instincts control you. River was very much like Zoie. River had been raised in hatred and had been raised to kill the Doctor. Zoie had inherited many of her father's traits, most of which were about violent tactics and cruel manners.

River then continued on giving the teen dating tips, granted those were not as important as the previous reminders were. River was a flirt, and Zoie knew that. But it didn't mean the blond would take that advice.

The last thing that the teen remembered hear from River was a sort of a threat.
"If you ever hurt him, or if you ever try to take over planet, or mildly start following in your father's footsteps, I will find you. And you will see just why I was put in Storm Cage," River had stated. "And don't forget what I was before I became a professor."

That stuck with the teen, mostly because of River's normal forceful way of speaking. She commanded authority. Also it made her realize that just as some kids grow wanting to be exactly like their parents. Sometimes it was safer not to try that. Not that her father was an evil person, just that he had made some very bad choices in his life. Now it was her time to make her own choices in this world.

“Any idea where we are?” Zoie asked as she looked at Kyle. “Or when we are?”

The Doctor and Fitz Kreiner
Location: The Bowels of the Valiant (Cargo Rooms)

"Well--atmosphere's Earth-normal, no immediate danger. Coming?"
"Coming, coming, yeah."

Silence. But a second head pokes out through the breach. Unkempt dark hair, pale-grey eyes, an over-long nose, and a sleepy sort of expression. Meanwhile, the Doctor climbs out entirely, dusts himself off, and heads over to the camera. Narrows his eyes in thought--still smiling, mind, impeccably polite--and fiddles at it a bit with the sonic screwdriver. "That ought to do it--well, I certainly hope so, at least..."

"Cheery place," says Fitz, pulling himself out of the breach after. "So. Not in Kansas anymore, are we?"

"Of course not," says the Doctor. "The TARDIS has rather better taste than this. And she's not nearly this nosy." He heads to check the door. Locked, of course. "Usually." He starts running his hands along the edges, sonicking at it on occasion. "Well, she's at least subtler about it."

Fitz glances over his shoulder back through the crack, looking vaguely uneasy. Falls into place behind the Doctor anyways, bending slightly to look over his shoulder. "So if we're not on the TARDIS, where are we?" he says.

"Hm," says the Doctor, and then: "Oh, here we are!" He stows the sonic screwdriver in his pocket and starts sliding the door open. (Well, with Fitz's help.) "Moving, at least," he says, placing a hand on the wall. "Feel this. Vibration. Very faint, but vibration nonetheless."

"A spaceship?" Fitz starts hauling the door closed behind them, throwing all his skinny strength into it. "They all look the same from the inside anyways," he adds. "I mean, aside from the obvious exception, yeah?"

"Nn," says the Doctor. "I've no idea," he adds, happily, and starts heading off down a corridor at random. "Care to find out?"

"Hold on--Doctor--" says Fitz, and tears off after.

The young Irish Redhead girl was in the swimming pool of the Tardis waiting for the landing, bored Natalie just swam a bit. Doing around ten to twenty more laps she climbed out and she grabbed a towel to dry herself off. Since she didn't have a swimsuit she always used her bra and panties. So her cloths would be a bit wet when she put them back on who cares. Drying herself off as best as she could she grabbed her shirt pulling it on as well as her pants. Caring her shoes she walked down the hall to the main control room of the Tardis looking for her doctor.

"Doctor?" She called out sitting down on the chair she took out her socks from her shoes pulling them on her feet as well as the shoes. Messing with her towel dried hair a bit letting it air dry.

Fina, during the time of waiting, took a small nap. Hot as it was in the engine room, it was quite comfortable. Curled up close to the door, she slowly reached up to twist the wheel to open the door enough to pop her head out once again. No one. That could be a good sign--or a bad sign. Using the wheel as a crutch, she lifted herself up and let herself out before closing the door completely.

Gripping onto the strap of her messenger bag--as she normally does when nervous--Fina looked to the left of the door and down the hall and then to the right, also down the hall.
"Left or right? Too bad they look equally long." With that, the young Asian-American decided to go left.

There were not many doors in the engine room hall, so she may get caught if someone were to come by. Once she got to the T-intersection, however, she peeked out again to the left and right. Still no one. Was it sleep time now? This time, it was the right Fina took. Not knowing where these apparently empty halls will take her.

The Doctor and Fitz Kreiner
Location: The Bowels of the Valiant (Endless Corridors)

Fitz pauses mid-run and glances down a side corridor. Footsteps. Distant, just barely audible. Fina's, more than likely, though they can't possibly know that yet. "Doctor?" he murmurs, looking right and then left down the corridor. "Don't think we're alone on this boat."

"Oh, hello," stage-whispers the Doctor, skidding to a halt. He glances over Fitz's shoulder. "That's something of a relief. I've had my fill of derelicts, I think--though I do wonder who it could be. How many feet, do you think? Bipedal?" It is worth noting that the man is grinning like a loon. He's just enjoying himself entirely too much.

"Two, yeah," says Fitz, tilting his head slightly to listen better. "Dunno what's worse, though, derelict or inhabited..."

The Doctor looks mock-scandalized for a moment. "Oh, my dear Fitz," he says, "you always seem to think the universe is out to get us."

"That's because usually it is." He runs a hand through his hair, exhaling hard. "Well, the sentient bits of it, anyways."

At any rate--their voices echo horribly, more than likely just enough for anybody else stalking the corridors to hear.

Pratt, Time Agent.
Location: The Bowels of the Valiant (Endless Corridors)

A few moments ago, just after he had initiated his next hop something went wrong. Instead of gingerly and gracefully landing in the time and place of his choosing he felt a sudden pull, a yank and twist as if something had wanted him elsewhere and it was not taking no for an answer.

His Vortex Manipulator had its own hiccup and made a rather unpleasant sound that alarmed its carrier that perhaps it would break 'midflight'. What an untimely death to die because a Time Vortex itself. Somehow it sounded funnier when it was not proving to be a real possibility.

Then his head collided with something solid.

He yelped, flipped over, saw the force of gravity drag him back down and the wall infront of him make a rather intimate acquaintance with his bum, then the soles of his feet. He stopped, though the world remained in motion for a few moments longer. He heard voices and was about to complain about the side-effects of such an ungainly landing when he realised that they were real.

Friend or foe? Well, if they were able to bring him here, foe was probably a good guess. The only part that left him bemused was the size of his cell, because this looked remarkably more like a hall on a ship, than an actual cell meant to contain prisoners. He rubbed the bump that was forming at the back of his head. The one near the top and front, still felt too tender to touch. Snippets of conversation floated his way. "..Hey. You.. out there!" He yelled. "What do you want?"
