Misery loves company right? So why was Sharsa so alone? She pondered this as she walked. The dirt caked land felt hard under her hooves. She was wondering the land between the southern fields and the Eniras mountains. She felt alone and miserable. She couldn’t help it. She liked Rakai enough, but he was plotting Azrein and unless she were careful around him he would use her like a pawn and break her when she was no longer useful to him. Sadly he was the only Azrein she could relate to. Others like Alu-lote and that stupid infuriating Sai were so caught up in being nice and actually caring about those bald monkey humans that just being around them for too long sickened Sharsa. Still at least no one thought of her as ‘evil’ or ‘human hating’, she had been careful not to convey her feelings on such matters. With that play king in power the entire land seemed to be fascinated with the idea of peace and love. As if such things truly existed. Love was nothing more than giving affection, expecting it and moving on when the other party couldn’t give anymore. As she walked she noticed a small little flowering weed poking up through the ground. The thing was small and scraggly, barely clinging to life. Using one hoof she ground the plant down before she kept going. So much for that little plant.
